The part that always cracks me up, other than the loose interpretation of the term fight, is when the bullpens jog out, most of the time literally right next to each other, but don't start jawing until they're in the infield

Thankfully the bullpens showed up in just enough time to do nothing as always. LOL!

The 2 announcer at 3:07 was like "oh he just trying to hit you in the head 3 times you shouldn't be mad about it"

Just once I want the Bullpens to start brawling in the outfield before they even make it to the baseline

These announcers are absolute morons, they had to have some idiot vendetta against Guerrero. Even an amateur can see that catcher straining to reach these pitches.

4:31 Marisnick clearly to a step outside his baseline toward bowling over Lucroy. He deserved the suspension.

If throwing a hard baseball 90+ mph at the temple ok than so should retaliating with the bat. Either both are wrong or both are justified; can’t have it both ways.

Is it just me or does anyone else that it’s a beautiful sight to see the bullpens run all the way in to support their respective players?

I love how pitchers have a damn ritual celebration after striking someone out but when a batter even stares at his homer the pitcher takes it personally.

I'm sure on the last one he definitely felt bad about injuring the catcher and definitely didn't have intent to do hurt him. I found it very nice that marisnick just accepted that he got hit as he most likely expected it. It was very cool of him to tell his team to chill out and just play. Just my opinion 🤷‍♀️

And I thought it was nothing but classy as anything that marisnick was telling his teammates to get back in the dugout

Jake Marisnick's slide that was called out was glorious. The salt from those Houston Trashtros commentators; the finest salt in the heart of Texas.

I love how the one that get's the most time here is the most unreasonable one. Maybe it's just because I know the context, but that Marisnick play was unfortunate, not dirty. If you watch a replay from the first base side, you see that both Lucroy and Marisnick step in the same direction at the same time. It was just a shitty misfortune. The HBP was unwarranted, and certainly that high.

The Phillies catcher at 4:16 is just like "Dude, wtf. Now I'm gonna get one in the ribs next game."

Yeah, I agree, throwing his bat was bad, but it doesn't matter if it was a breaking ball. In fact, that is the perfect excuse in that instance. He throws it in TWICE to begin the bat, followed by one over the plate, then hits him... Of course Pedro should be upset at it. I don't blame him, though he probably shouldn't have thrown the bat like that. And I don't understand what the announcers were getting at. "Leaning into it"... WHAT?!?!? HE DUCKED!!!!! You see a ball flying at your head, not knowing rather it is a fastball or breaking ball is a moot point, what is your instinct? To DUCK!!!!!

5:10 what people might not see cuz the frame isnt shown is that the runner tried to avoid the catcher. The announcers mention it too. The catcher was outside but the throw took him inside, but by that point the runner was already trying to go inside to avoid him, hence the collision at full speed

You can tell Jake Marisnick did not hit that catcher on purpose when you see him get hit by two fastballs near his head in the same game and just ran down to first not wanting to make an issue of it. That tells me Jake felt really bad about hurting that dude.

Marisnick was pretty cool about it. He knew his collision was an accident and brutal, and he knew it was retribution, but he was fine with it, it evened everything out and he wasn't hurt...cool reaction.

In regards to the Pedro/Cone situation, I love how the announcer takes umbrage with Pedro throwing the bat saying, 'You could do a lot of damage!" Yeah, you can also so a lot more damage throwing at someone's head. Old timey racism.

Good thing you showed the exact same 4min long clip twice in a row. It was super important to see nothing happen from 45 different cameras, twice!!

Love how an unwritten rule of baseball is essentially: Rule - 'Batter must not hurt the pitcher's feelings.', but with the following clauses: Clause 1: 'In the event a pitcher's feelings are hurt, the batter may be on the receiving end of an ill aimed fast ball." Clause 1a: ' In the event the ill aimed fast ball hits the batter's head or elbow, both benches and bull pens must clear.' Clause 2: 'Subsequent to brawl of Clause 1a, if the feelings of the pitcher are not adequately subdued, then Clause 1 may be repeated. However, this is no longer considered justified. The pitcher is to be ejected from the game immediately."

As a former pitcher, I can confidently say not once did I ever get upset at someone showboating against me. All it did was give me motivation to be better and smarter against the next batter. Also never hit anyone intentionally. I'll never understand that "old school payback" bs.

That clip where marisnick (however you spell his name) runs into Lucroy was not intentional, he said it was a split decision to try and deke lucroy but the catcher stayed with him and boom collision.

Here's an idea, padlock both bullpens & only unlock them when a reliever is activated & then lock it back up. We don't need them in bench clearing brawls! The dugouts provide ample excitement for the fans! 😂😂😂👍👍👍

If pitchers can hit batters with the ball whenever they want, batters should be able to hit pitchers with bats the same way.

the one on Lucroy, he clearly tried to avoid him. he say lucroy line up on the outside, and 100% took the inside, but the throw then brought lucroy inside. im a phillies fan, but was at the first game after this that marasick played at angel stadium. booooed him like crazy. hes a good dude
