Yeah I like that theory way more. It explains why they're only two alicorns in the first place and how they were found at such a young age by star swirl the bearded.
I honestly think Luna and Celestia were born alicorn probably from inheriting the magic from their parents who became alicorns. I think their parents died at an age to young to remember thus they would live and grow isolated in a cave with no one from the village noticing.

In both G4 and G5, the writers played around with the idea of there being an alicorn civilization. There was plans for an episode that didn’t leave the drawing table in season nine that had characters visiting this land. We did get an introduction to the land in G5, but I really wish they elaborated on it more.
celastia and luna are naturally born alicorns..when flurry heart was born, celestia said the birth of an alicorn is something that equestria has never seen.....meaning that flurry heart was the first alicorn to be born in eqestria..in my little pony the new generation, there is an alicorn named Queen Opaline,she is a fire alicorn.she said that she grew up with celestia and luna a place called Skyros, a land of alicorns and she explanied how they were the favourites among the alicorns and the other ponies since they raise the sun and moon...so flurry heart was the first natural born alicorn to be born in equestria .....in other words celestia and luna was not born in equestria.
@@Larsen_illustrations I second this. It could come from her being so charismatic. Horn magic will be influenced by the cutie mark, but not vice versa (her “love magic” comes from herself, not the existence of her horn)
The gameloft mlp game has Queen Parabola as an alicorn pre eq and also the line that EQUESTRIA hasnt seen alicorns be born implies they can be born, just flurry was the first one. I think some ponies can inherit alicorn genes from an alicorn parent or one who had been alicorn'd. Assume it would have to be via an alicorn and not a spellcaster like star swirl since Cadence was alicornified by Celestia/Luna's existance. Pony royalty has never been restricted to alicorns
Its because flurry was the first to be BORN in EQUESTRIA. this means the princesses aren't from there and there is an actual alicorn cibilization from wich they came somewhere

Well yeah you can't see ur own birth so Celestia statement is not wrong but her statement doesn't take into account her and by extension Luna's own birth

My theory is kinda might be wrong due to an alicorn never seen born but what if a parent was a Pegasus and the other was a unicorn? That would make much more sense than two (somehow) alicorns making THEM alicorns
Check my theory When Equestria has been created, there was a royal family and it is: Princess Luna, Princess Celestia and her parents, what if starswirl made the spell of transforming a pony into a alicorn, and then the guinea pig was luna and celestia? like they said flurry heart was the only natural alicorn,and like in the show said unicorns had to raise the moon and sun , but now they dont need because the royal family could do this job for them, and then when luna and celestia lower/raise the sun/moon for the first time celestia and luna got their cutie marks or maybe opaline was the first guinea pig and then starswirl made luna and celestia a alicorn
i think maybe Celestia started as a unicorn and Luna started as a pegasus? That could explain why Luna had a harder time grasping the magic portion of being an alicorn????
Actually there's a land that it's not Equestria where Alicorns lands, that's where Celestia and Luna were born as Alicorns, Celestia said "we never have seen a ln Alicorn newborn in Equestria" I think she was just saying that in Equestria it never happened but Celestia and Luna aren't from Equestria and were born alicorns
Maybe you need to possess certain genes in order to transform into one (unless you create a type of magic like Twilight or Cadance). It could be like a recessive trait that allows a pony to have the potential to become an alicorn through magical intervention and maybe Starswirl didn't have that gene. It also explains why Flurry Heart was able to be born as an alicorn
I thought they might have been born in an alicorn valid but all the newborns after then were only born with unicorns or pegasus magic not even just point magic. and that when they left and started to find a home or they played and got lost when stars were the building. I thought maybe alicorn where a hidden place that only another alicorn could fine but luna and Celsta never real new how to get back home. but that my there
IMHO, you are too quick to reject the idea that Celestia and Luna were born as Alicorns, a theory supported by 'The Journal of the Two Sisters' (and by the revelation of the Alicorn city of Skyros from G5, but let's leave that alone for now). Yes, Flurry Heart was the first natural-born Alicorn to be seen in Equestria. However, I would suggest that Celestia and Luna were born outside of Equestria or, at least, before it existed as a nation. The pair might even be from outside of the same plane of existence as Equestria and its world, but I don't think we have enough evidence for that.
Now as the new generation we jnew they were born as alicorns in another land called Skyros, probably an alicorn civilization since opaline was an alicorn too

Yea, but in that case how did Twilight Sparkle become one? Unless she was born in "Alicorn Land" but i dont think she was, right? Maybe im wrong or Twilight Sparkle is a special case where a normal pony was able to become an Alicorn, but i figured all of them were born "normal" and later became alicorns later on in life either just when old enough or via magic "activating" their that alicorn-part of themselves, like i said idk tho, im just now trying to get into/understand MLP after years of being intrigued by the series 😊
