Mo' Better Blues | Cynda Williams Sings "Harlem Blues" 

This scene did something to my soul…even as a teenager I one this part was powerful but to watch it now…n see all the hurt …I felt that whole scene!!

Classic song and movie. They actually played this song on the radio regularly here in Birmingham. This is truly one of Spike Lee's best. Cynda sounded just as beautiful as she looked.

This scene was shot at a restaurant called "America". It's no longer there but it used to be on 18th street, right off 5th Avenue on the east side in Manhattan. I don't know what the space is now but I used to go there for lunch or dinner all the time. They had a really delicious turkey and stuffing dish that I loved. I went to college nearby at Baruch. As soon as I saw the outside when watching the movie, I recognized it immediately

Great movie and great soundtrack, deserves more praise, one of Lee’s finest.
