Monique is appreciated now. She is the only one bold enough to call it like it is and Hollywood and Lee Daniels dont want to be exposed. There is no REAL defense coming from Lee Daniels only what Monique did or did not do. She is speaking truth.

I love my boxers....Let me try to give you some perspective....We people of color feel the need to openly express pride about our "blackness" because the majority..... does the EXACT OPPOSITE. People of color are portrayed as less than, in every way. We are portrayed as lacking education, lazy, lacking ambition, incompetent, nasty, ugly.....the list goes on. We aren't acknowledged by the majority for accomplishments, often not even acknowledged as human, deserving of the same respect and dignity of the rest. When mass media covers "US" they usually show us being handcuffed, the ones who don't have a good grasp of the English language and so forth. It's therefore up to us to openly acknowledge that we are indeed capable and do in fact achieve in the same way every one else does. We are mature, ambitious, hard working, civil people. All we want is for the majority to accept that there's good bad and ugly in every race. What's tantamount however, is that we want the majority to acknowledge that WE BLACK people are just people, the same as the rest. Much respect!!

@@kellyannr4171 That was an excellent way of explaining it but the most important thing black people have to realize is that white people and those who are racist will NEVER accept you ,but they do need to respect you. The good traits about black people you mentioned , being hard working, mature, and all the other things are traits that should be "respected" however the reason they will never truly accept you are for reasons you have no control over. The color of your skin, your bilogical genes, are things the other reasons that spark racism. They will never accept you but they can and should respect you.

Not kissing the white mans ass is what got her black balled and Lee Daniels turn his back on her when she needed him most.
@miamac63
@miamac63 8 лет назад
Jamal, you were not there. People, especially black people, need stop blaming the white man unless they can personally speak on a direct encounter. And even then "name" the individual or group, i.e. that person who did the actual behavior or that business entity, instead of generalizing all whites or all white men. To generalize is bias and racists in itself. Racism can ONLY END if we ALL make change in 2017 (and going forth).
@jamaljamal6169
@jamaljamal6169 8 лет назад
miamac63 The white man told everybody that she was difficult to work with all because she didn't jump when they said too and that is a black ball.
@miamac63
@miamac63 8 лет назад
Again, were you there? All he said, she said. Celebs make deals with the devil and cry foul when it doesn't go their way. Since the beginning, Hollyweird has been one seedy business. Again, people have names. Like blacks don't like being grouped and blamed as one, neither do whites. Until this double standard changes, racism will continue being alive and well and victim mentalities being born and fed. God gave ALL OF US freewill. We choose.

I agree. And also because she has a mind of her own. Lee Daniels and Steve Harvey said Monique wouldn't play the 'money game'. The game isnt for all celebs its for black celebs. They tried to keep her in a little box and she wanted to go her own way so she got blackballed despite her winning various amount of awards for her performance in the film 'Precious' its ridiculous. Hope she continues to remain humble and real.

A nice tone of what the reasons of your hurt or anger. If you are mad that's fine really, but to go gorilla, I'm not cool with that... It's okay to argue but not to the point you are being abusive in speech.. I love me some Mo' baby.. That's real.. This is how black women should be. Before y'all go off on your RU-vid thuggish rant at me understand this...I've seen enough black women dogging each other and stabbing each other in the backs. I try and bring love to the situation, and SOME of those black women still react negatively. In a day and age where there are people debating about the non importance of us...our hair is too this, our body shape is too this...our attitudes are too that...we don't do this/that or the third....that's why black men don't date you... blah blah blah. In this day and time, we need to pull together and lift each other up. We don't need to continue with the crabs in a barrel mentality. Yeah, all women need to do this, but I'm not worried about all of them. All of them don't represent women that look like me or women from my community. With that said, sistas, please love each other. Help each other. Kindly but honestly correct each other. We've got enough going on that we don't need to be a part of the problem. We need to be each other's solution.

@AmericanFYEChief
@AmericanFYEChief 8 лет назад
I never gotten along with other Black women. And somehow, I still love my Sisters. Maybe because I understand. I know their pain all too well. And when I reach out to them in love, or even concern, they lash out. Why? 1) The air of mistrust in the Black community (in general) 2) The only time a lot of us hear a compliment is when somebody is trying to smash. 3) A lot of us were taught that if someone approach you in a "nice" way, they want something. 4) Also in the Black community, we tend to place more value on the external(materialism) than the internal (substance). That's where the competiveness come in. 5) A lot of us weren't taught HOW to love. 6) No one likes to be taken out of their comfort zone. There's no accountability among Black women. Bottom line, we have to trust each other. Not everyone has an angle. If they do, handle it accordingly. But in the end all we have is each other. We're all we've got.
@lmg8236
@lmg8236 8 лет назад
Good day, Rae Carr. I'm confused, who was airing dirty laundry? For my personal comment, I did the same thing that was done in the video. They hinted at an issue that they worked out through communication. I commented that there are issues that need to be fixed and our community needs to fix them. To clarify my comment: I didn't say ALL black women, I said SOME. I also never said that this was all I came across either. I was raised amongst brilliant black men and women, I was born in the 70's and grew up in the 80's and 90's where every physician I went to was black. I had a family and many friends who communicated their problems with each other. That doesn't mean that everybody has the same experience. My experiences outside of how I grew up were slightly different. As another commenter in this thread said, many in our community were not raised to trust. It leaks out into not trusting each other or those that look like us. This is not airing dirty laundry, this is making it known that we must lift each other up. I refuse to smile in someone's face and backtalk them as soon as they turn around. Im here to be open, honest, and straight forward. The people that should be the solution for black women are BLACK WOMEN. Yes, I said it, black women. We must hold each other accountable and accept nothing less than the best we can give. I hang around like minded women, but my knowledge isn't just for them. I believe in being my sister's keeper because there are many little sisters out there watching us; reading these threads. I'm not airing dirty laundry, I think some in our community are doing a good job of walking outside with dirty clothes on themselves.

This is how grown, MATURE, women handle situations. You don't have to go to social media and resolve your problems... a simple phone call, private inbox, or visit will suffice. 💯

Couldn't have said it better myself! People don't realize when someone says something to you on social media and you say something back on social media, you just as bad as they are!

Monique has that ancestor love. ITS TOUGH and it may come off harsh but if you’re listening with your heart you can hear the love and correction. My great grandmother who is still living today has the same kind of energy as well. I grew up feeling like my grandma hated me or just didn’t like me and now that I’m older and seen how she deals With us in the family I just come to realize she was giving me tough love like when someone hugs you reeeaalll tight to where it’s almost uncomfortable until you hug back and the grip gets a little more loose and you realize they were never squeezing at all you just didn’t receive it.

Oooh baby i know that at least tamera and loni have tried.. I don't know bout the other two... But they tried and she just didn't care to answer the calls and text messages... And i don't think they should kiss her ask and message her everyday until she feels like responding... So i would stop calling and texting her too...
@MajesticMyronn
@MajesticMyronn 8 лет назад
Patience Mtembo but ALL of them have tried... Tamar should be calling them if she was so hurt about the situation instead of airing it out on social media , you don't think they tried , she doesn't want anything to do with them or the show anymore... That's Tamar's decision and they went with her wishes ! So Tamar is distant and not planning on talking about them or to them anytime soon unfortunately

Tamar I hope you sit down and listen to this segment with open ears, your co-hosts did nothing to you... the producers fired you, it didnt mean you had to take your anger out on your sisters... they had no power to fire you and if they did they loved you and would have never done that to you. I know your angry tamar and when your angry you tend to ignore many things...
