I have literally been searching to find someone that as made a model base/storage under the Paulk workbench that's not all 2x4. Just got the plans off his site and will wait to see how you wrap the base up before I start mine. Thanks!

Hi! I’m planning to build a similar workbench. My idea is to build 3 separate cabinets (60cm wide by 80 cm deep by 60cm tall) with drawers that can be opened from both sides of the workbench. My Paulk top is 180cm by 90cm. As I see it, I would build a rectangular base out of 10cm by 10cm lumber on top of which I would put the 3 cabinets. Castor wheels underneath the base. Then on top of the cabinets the Paulk torsion box. Then screw everything together. Do you think this is a good approach in terms of stability/sturdiness? Thanks!
