Have you tried the HQ 40mm 4blade props? I'm finding that they greatly improve the Moblite7's flight characteristics at the cost of some flight time. Much better throttle control and cornering.
Dont those motor shafts cant take a hit keep as is those parts work best as is... with that said... gnarly fpv is a good choice if still making the primo
I saw someone say that it wouldn't be very durable on a toothpick frame...thought on tha issue is that the moblite 7's whoop frame is also super fragile and they ship with 2 for that reason...you can expect to replace the frames multiple times and everytime you take a decent hit. So, with that being said, you're not loosing much by switching to abtoothpuc frame. You'll gain time and even look cooler if you care about aesthetics and it's going to be very comparable with the stock moblite frame. So, long story short....you might as well get wild with it and try it out....a carbon fiber toothpick frame might even me more durable...you just won't have as much forgiveness when you bump things....meaning you're more likely to fall and have to re launch. No big deal in my opinion. If you make the frame change, I'd love to see it after!
I never understood that led config in betaflight. I installed an LED strip on my Mobula 7 and never could figure this out. Too many things going on and not sure what does what. This might help a little bit in the future. My Mobula 7 doesn't work anymore, but it would be nice if you would go further into this and maybe do a how to video for dummies... like me. Or just people who can't figure this out. There's just way too many options on this and I don't know where to start. I'm sure I have a couple quads I can do this with. Plus I have a couple more LEDs I can install. The LEDs I got are like 4 LEDs on a little strip you mount on the back of the frame.
VTX is really bad on multiple board I and other pilots have.. It's like less than 25 mW - when set to 200 mW :( Can you confirm that too ? Maybe I try adding a different Antenne (which need to be soldered)
First let me say I love my Mobula 6. Being a newcomer to whoop racing it has given me many first place and a few second in races. My biggest complaint- the outer sleeve on the motor bells slips in a crash and jams the motor. I have to pick it up and slide the sleeves back up to be able to fly again. On the original SE0802 25000kv and on the EX0802 25000kv. The EX are lighter and I have no other complaints. Did I get the only 2 sets of motors that do this or is this a known problem? My Mobula 6 weighs 18.5 grams and Is def my go to whoop, but this problem with the motors is killing me!
the flightime is unbeatable ...a lite is for longer flight time so the mob 7 win, with 9 minutes ....the mob 6 is a bit faster in corners but if i want it fast i would not buy 1s ...so nothing beats the flight time of the mob7 ...defenitly the moblite 7 is the better one and his weight is much more reduced to the original than the 65 version ...
@larz....I have a frame I want to use and it's a 75mm that's about 1.5 grams heavier than the one that comes with the moblite7. Is it worth it to switch the frame over? I know I'll lose a little of its flight time and handling but wouldn't it still be better than the original mobula7 since it has a lighter board and upgraded motors? What are you thoughts? I'm new to the hobby and this will me my first fpv quad (I've put over 70hrs flight time on the DRL similator so I feel I'm a pretty decent pilot. Top 5 on leaderboards for most maps!)so this will be my first custom build
@@HalfChrome oh, absolutely. I've flown fpv quads many of times but I've never built my own custom so I was asking if you thought the moblite7 in the 4.8 gram custom frame would still be an upgrade from the mobula7. I'm new to building them but I've flown bind and fly models and other ppls quads for quite a bit.
@@HalfChrome so, what I'm trying to get at is, would it be better to just have a mobula 7 in a 4.8gram frame or to have a moblite7 in a 4.8 gram frame...
