Wild to see the US Train stuff too!!!Good fun this one cheers mate!!!!
Two pounds for 3rail coaches!! I'd have bought the lot, luckily I got some at Bolton this Sunday for two pounds as well. No layouts running, looked very quite? Hope the cameraman isn't two expensive! See you hopefully at our Chapel en le Frith exhibition on 25 and 26th February.
Hi Stuart, we filmed this after we had done the layouts (Pontefract) it was such a big show we had to film a separate bargain hunt otherwise the video would be as long as a Bond film! I'm glad we did as I'm very happy with the video. As for the Ian our camera man he's on a YTS 😂😂
Hi, great video, the network rail yellow livery items are very popular, i'm a big fan of them, the prices are high, you were looking at some really good items with good prices.
some very nice bargains again. pauline should try building one of those mdf laser cut buildings kits, they are much stronger to build and have much more relief detail, perhaps the only downside maybe that they demand much more paintwork, but you get much more value for your money. I wonder Rick, do you also by new high end models sometimes? Cheers, Danny
Hi Danny, we need to speak to a few of the companies about the kits which isn't a problem as we do see a lot of them. I did buy a new loco at the show from the Railroad range so not really high end. I'm sure I will get a few top of the range locos at some point but I wouldn't want to pay full price! All the best Rick
Yes the same track just slightly smaller size locos. I have an American HO loco that when put next to 00 looks tiny. HO is actually more true to scale. Cheers Rick
33025, the real thing still exists and is main line registered for West Coast railways, in their maroon livery. If I were on the prowl for a 33, I would go for banger blue, which is what most of them ended up being painted in.
Hi there ,, I got 1 of them 33 class lima locos and was sold to me as a runner and got it home & tested it and not a bit of movement electrically or other wise. So I pulled it apart and it didnt even have a magnet in it or if it did it had turned soft type of gell so out it come and replaced the magnet cleaned it all up and put it back together as a runner then noticed the chassis had a huge crack in it next to where the motor bogie goes into it. So another few days on mucking around fixing that and gettin it to sit level was next and a fwpew minor adh0justments and she finally a runner. Also what are the red diamonds that are on the side the loco's over there ? Cheers from John in Australia.
Congratulations on the 33, I feel like getting one as I seem to be the only person who hasn't got one. Some info copied from IGG web. The freight locomotives were then assigned to specific 'sectors' and each sector had its own logo which was applied to the locomotive sides (usually toward the 'number one' end). Coal opted for black diamond shapes, construction had yellow and black squares, petroleum had blue and yellow wavy lines, metals had blue and yellow chevrons and distribution had red diamonds. All the best Rick
@@wellchuffedrailwaysahuh ,, ok thanks for that ,, wow seems pretty complicated but it must of worked I suppose ,, I only found out the other days that 2 black stars on the sides of tankers are for how fast they go and the more stars the faster they can go. Do they still use the same system ie diamonds waves etc nowadays ? Cheers from John in Australia
Hi Rick & Pauline, just watched your latest video very good as usual question the last trader with all the metal nameplates have you got a name I’ve searched EPA as came up on screen but with no results cheers Al
Hi, I've just had a look as well and can't find any other info unfortunately. Your best bet would be to contact the organisers. Sorry I can't be more help but there is no more info on their pages other than a list of the traders. If you follow this link to the club someone hopefully can point you in the right direction. nprms.co.uk/contact
Hi Douglas they are all pretty much the same but running quality and noise does vary a lot. Some later models have dual pickups but all models actually run very well for their age. Prices can vary as some models were only produced in very limited quantities. My choice would be a 31, 47 or 73. Happy hunting Rick.
Hi Doug, yes I have just checked and that does seem to be the case. Very odd as I don't know why Lima would only do that with one loco? Must be a later design. Anyway thanks for the info I will definitely look out for one now. All the best Rick.
Hi apparently the motor was derived from Rivarrosi. Their usual motor wouldn't fit in the narrow body. The last loco they did (class 67) was a centre motor and all wheel drive. Cheers Rick.
