For the first few minutes of the video, I was stunned and questioned the technique used 🤣🤣. But as I continued to watch it, I couldn't help but admire it because I had never seen this method of making the foundation in my country. Nothing would have been better given the condition of the soil.

you have to ask yourself, is all this brick laying necessary? why not just put up formwork and pour the concrete straight onto the ground, since the brickwork covers pretty much the whole area and is filled with concrete anyway. load bearing would be better with a reinforced 6" pad of concrete then a load of little walls 300mm wide and 600mm tall. are bricks and labour really that cheap?
CMUs are universally inexpensive and every country makes some type of them. I actually kind of find it neat how they do things. This isn't the first video I've seen with this technique.
The question is: "Why they haven't compacted the ground after putting the sand?" Is there any specific reason for avoiding compaction? Usually, I have seen doing compaction and compaction testing to minimize floor movement.
Thank you for your comment - it's just a thin layer of sand It is only used to prevent mud and dirt from sticking to the bricks, it will not affect the collapse of the foundation

'The West' for want of a better description loves exactness, to the mm. But we can see here exactness is not so necessary, as we believe. Of course whatever you're doing needs to be safe but it needn't be measured to the nearest mm, or inch,I prefer inch.
