The deployment bag in the video is made by a company called xmilpax, I purchased it on Amazon.. you can purchase it here: www.amazon.com/dp/B097M59FP3/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_G2EWAHTZ7ZHGA9GJ0NJQ?linkCode=ml2&tag=idahoprepper-20
I like it. The only thing I would add it a mele or alternative weapon. I like to have a back up just in case ammo runs out long term. Very good video though.
Definitely a load out to be desired. And.....exactly why I stopped making vids on my gear, prepping and marshal science. It's only a matter of time till they call us radicals and seditionists. Prep in silence, maintain a small mutial assistance group. Above all.....quit showing off your preps.
Don't worry about the haters. Good idea, this is a good starting point. I would have my clothing items vacuum sealed, which takes up less space and protects them from the elements.
I love hater’s 😂 they are always good for a chuckle. They still think their opinions are relevant. 😂 social media got them thinking people give a sh!t what they have to say.😂😂😂 I say do you and I’ll do me and we will let time sort it out.😂🤷♂️
Gentlemen, heres the thing, those of us that prep should be or be getting close to squared away. But what about your sons and daughters, mothers and loved ones? You need to make sure they are squared away too. Good luck out there and if SHTF may the lord be your blade and your honor stand in their way!
2 canteens. You need a way to transport water. Mess kit. You need a way to heat and eat without an MRE. Towel, soap, and higeen kit. Yes, it is small stuff that can be gathered on the way out. If you can afford a spare. Put it in the bag.
@idahoprepper I have a full frame kit. 50 sg 00 and ap slug. 4 20rnd 9mm sidearm. 6 30 5 of the .56. 2 changes of clothing. One light for snow ona tan for rock. With covers for the bag. 2 humanitarian aid MRE 4 meals. Mess kit, water stuff then an assault pack to hook to the front. Double the beginningwith birs shot for food acquisition. And a 30hate provision just 20 of those. It stays packed. Batteries are recharged on the first. Cleaning and maintnance on the 2nd. Edc is every Monday evening clean, sharpen, check all functions, and repack. Btw I have 5 to 10 ht radios about. When 1 breaks I get 2 cheap ones.
@idahoprepper yes and once a week I do 10 miles on the hoof. Mine or my horse. The total load out is currently 157lbs 210 with all weapons. Usualy just the side and the modern sporting rifle. I am 63 years old. Semper fi.
@@idahoprepperquestion about that 72 hour bag. What is your plan for carrying that and the loadout duffel? This is what I have been pondering myself. I have two separate systems too and seeing your water filter and MRE in the duffel, it got me thinking that I can probably figure out a way to make the duffel do it all. As is right now my duffel is just to carry my gear to the range and store it at home. I know the military uses a ruck and an assault pack as a system. They each have their purpose. So how will you implement both bags. My plan for me is to load both bags into my truck and get to a meeting point. Then gear up and leave the duffel behind and only carry my assault/72 hour bag. What I don't know or have planned out yet is a leave from home walking plan.
@idahoprepper Since you didn't go into it I don't know what you did on the inside. For a true Faraday cage you would have needed to line the ENTIRE INSIDE with a nonconductive material. That should have removed any issues from the locks.
Question here. Everyone keeps saying Faraday and that a can has to be totally sealed up. Yet a Faraday suit is like chain link and works just fine. I know its close mesh and not like a chain link fence. But look at a micro wave oven window. Its metal screen that has homes big enough to see through but yet still stops the waves. Waves are in different lengths, I get that but has anyone on RU-vid that recommends ammo cans or other types of cans actually tested these ideas in a legit scientific way?
Been thinking of something like this for a few years. Mainly thinking one of the fiberglass or heavy plastic containers since they would be lighter in weight and could easily be thrown in the back of the pickup and go. Had recently considered one of these. My main focus was a nearly indestructible container that sat near an outside wall incase of a building collapse where it might be easiest to retrieve through the debris if needed. Plus a single lockable container that holds ALL items that might be needed in a 5 minutes and gone scenario. Thanks for the video and ideas.
I like the repurpose use of that box idea. Good planning. You could roll it out to the truck with a two wheel dolly and probably push it up over the tailgate by yourself.
@@PatrickThreewit Don't worry, YOU won't. Others might and some will, but either way the rest of us will be just fine if you don't prepare yourself. Good luck out there.
I definitely like the concept!! Something I would add would be a small survival kit. 10Cs plus a couple comfort items. Like the pathfinder bottle set and bag.
This is a great idea ! The wooden ones I’ve made and purchased do not last for daily transport purposes for when I’m on duty and at work ! This is perfect I’m already looking at them online. I’m actually close to one of their facilities. !
Some people have the strangest hobbies...seeing you dig through your gear just reminds me of doing field exercises at 21 and wishing I'd stayed in college.
if its your "minute man kit" get the casters for it do you can roll it right out to your vehicle!! love the job boxes like that the only thing they dont protect from is fire.... working on job sites for the last 30 years i have saw these boxes survive just bout everything but the drop from the 3 story apt building!! ( i think it was done on purpose) get a cable lock & secure it to something BIG!!
maybe extra prescription glasses(sunglasses) or 2 . get another pair of boots/shoes & rotate the use between them (so your not "breaking in" a new pair) - a runners trick. great idea about the old job box though
Great use of a throw away item. I have a similar job box that i utilize for bulk storage in my basement prep room. I may have to consider a similar setup with another box as you have.
Lowes has those boxes smaller and easier to maneuver in and out of a truck Home Depot might have one too. I have a 5‘ x 2‘. It’s big and heavy. I’ve moved it plenty of times by myself. It was changed into my truck for many years now it’s in my shop full of supplies get what you can carry as you get older you’re not dragging it around. 4:06
To roll that box out under the shelf it might be fun put it on a rails and to still keep it in place use chain to bold it. To move the box alone into your vehicle you can use a trolley. Maby use roof mounted winch in your garage
WOW, I live in Arizona and Im shopping for a smaller tool box like that to put inside my truck in the back section of my Extended cab. I took out the bench seat of my '93 Siera ,4x4, I want to have a really secure box to put my emergency "SHTF" stuff.
Good stuff. Extra socks are an often overlooked detail for a lot of people. I would suggest keeping them in a zip lock bag rather than just loose. They're not going to do you any good if they end up getting wet too, and you don't want to be stuck out in survival mode with nothing but wet socks.
Nice equipment storage. I use a couple 20 mm ammo cans, for some faraday boxes. I am behind the ball for my lack of plates. I presently use duffle bags for storage. My pistol choice is a tossup between a Sig 226 or a glock 22, both have the conversion barrels to 9mm and a 22lr slide. I have the spare that my battle buddies could use
You could absolutely still use that box as a faraday cage even with the locks.. several companies produce an emp resistant material that could line the whole inside of the box and even make them into removable panels to counter sink into the lid and sides as well as panels in between your rifles and sensitive electronic equipment like nods and gps or sat phones.. would be totally simple and removable and still accomplish what you want it to do with little to no compromise on space. Still a great idea just how it is. In fact you could use that same material as blanket to wrap the whole box in to store it away. Great setup bro I really like it. also they make this material that is actually strong enough to just wrap random sensitivity equipment not even stored in boxes like your ecu and sensitive cpus in your vehicle that have been proven effective for shielding against such attacks.
Good Concept. I like some of your ideas. As a suggestion, I would try going prone with that chest rig with the pistol mags before actually needing it. I like to keep my front slim in order to get low when needed.
Great job. I like the basic idea for the box but like another comment said wouldn’t keep a F/A in there. I’m a novice at this as well but have learned that for things like helmets and plates it’s better to buy once cry once. Obviously money is a concern for most of us so your current helmet could be a great piece of training kit until you can save for something ballistic. Keep the content coming, I learned stuff from your video and the comments.
Who cares what people think. It works and it's great. It's a portable safe unlike others it will load out easily into a pickup truck bed. I also like the OD bag.
Cool video! I’d say take the helmet with regardless of ballistic rated or not. Might not stop a bullet but will slow it down and also a fall where you slam your head could take the fight right out of you!
Enjoy your content. Great ideas and information. REQUESTING you do a video on. 1. Gear up with tactical defense gear loadout. 2. Load your ATV and bugout bag. 3. Arrive at range, conduct marksmanship, and test your load out. 4. Depart to overnight campsight. 5. Set up camp, gear review. Bonus: mayb night marksmanship
I'm 1 minutes 7 seconds in. I LOVE the product drop box I can click. Great video presentation so far. Already subscribed just now. Look forward to this video. 😊
Great set up. I humbly would like to put forth a man interesting idea. A minuteman load out needs to be faster. Like firefighter speed where you step in and lift your entire outfit and load bearing gear on in one movement. Default “minutemen” gear should be a modified full battle rattle reimagined to be put on in seconds. In order to be ready at a moments notice you need to minimize time spent putting gear on. The rest will be spent organizing and traveling.
Glad you made this vid, I used the same idea but I used them husky job boxes with wheels, it’s easy to roll out an throw in the truck bed an when your out in the field it has a rubber seal so your gear can be dry an if your at a base camp it’s something to sit on too
Yeah, they’re a great alternative to gun safes! And unlike liberty safes, you don’t have to worry about the manufacturer handing over the master code to the Feds when they want in!! 😆 thanks for watching!
I think the only critique I could give you is where's your med kit your tourniquet your stop the bleed kit. Other than that I like your setup I like the fact that you repurpose something you already had so you don't have to go out and buy another component but that gives me ideas to revamp my loadout
Man, I should’ve found this video before, although it would’ve been difficult to find a spot in my house for it. All in lol it seems pretty awesome, kind of more for the retired military guy not the grey man but pretty cool.
I had 2 jetski trailers with cargo boxes. They are heavy guage with trays for 4 5gallon fuel tanks. I cut the welds and moved them to my truck. An F-250 STD 8ft bed. They are facing each other behind the cab and I can put 8 5gallon fuel bottles in them. I'm a nurse and have 5 medical bags, a Homer bucket toilet packed with a small tent , bags, paper. Extraction tools, rope. What I tell everyone is: Build a pantry. Fill it up. Protect it.
Funny story... I started doing the same thing, collecting items for bugging out or In, just really having everything centrally located instead of all over the house. Once I got finished, I felt accomplished and wanted to show my wife. After finishing the wife's viewing, she asked me was I planning on taking her with me? I had not put anything together for her...I was completely quieted by her question and responded by telling her I did all this sonshe did not have to carry anything...lol, think I screwed myself later on.
If that’s a Faraday cage, you should cut out to size of that metal box, cardboard. Place inside so your rifle and what is metal or aluminum can be touching the metal box. Then use a ground wire to ground it. Doing that will help on the strong EMP. Also you should look into a EMP cloth wrap. Google it. Or watch a RU-vid video about. I watch a guy on RU-vid.
Greetings from Germany. We have to lock our weapons in safes here, you have the choice between two protection classes. In the lower class, you also have to anchor the cabinet to the floor or wall. My safe cost €3000 and weighs 400 pounds, it can withstand a house fire and the subsequent fire-fighting work by the fire department. The authorities can come by unannounced at any time and check whether all regulations are being adhered to. If not, you lose your reliability and the weapons are gone.
