Yeah i noticed little problems like that a lot in the original modern warfare trilogy im sure there was a mission with a bunch of abrams and then a t-70 in middle trying to hide lol
I remember in “Loose Ends” everyone always use to say Ghost had some dialogue referring to fire proof suits. Although there was little proof to back, but I still definitely listened as hard as I could during that mission while playing the remastered, but there was nothing
At the beginning of cliffhanger after climbing the ice, the first 2 guys you can shoot, if you melee then without them noticing you get a really cool icepick execution
I don’t think this was in the original, but main characters (Foley, Soap, Ghost, etc) will routinely call out enemy positions to each other and AI teammates by name.
Two things I noticed: 1. Endgame: In the original Price shoots down Shepherd's CH-53 with 3 shots from his M4 which was not very believable, in remastered he shoots twice then fires a grenade which brings down the helicopter. 2. Exodus: In the original, when you switch to laser designator it turns on a laser beam on your SCAR, but in remastered you actually switch to a pistol-shaped laser marker (I think the model is LA-16U/PEQ)
After the helicopter crash in the last mission there is a unique animation if you stab the 2 Shadow company soldiers Also in Just Like Old Time if you stab the guard taking a smoke there is a unique animation
I think Shepard's redesign makes sense. In the original his face is perfectly symmetrical, like something you'd see on a young person. Since Shepard is an old general, it makes sense his cheeks are sunken and he has more pronounced creases above his mouth.
The SCAR now has a 20 round mag, not a 30. The real SCAR-H uses a 20 round mag so more realism improved. Hopefully they do fix the M4A1 mag in MW3 remaster because it appears to have a 20 round mag but then holds 30. Just a little thing that bugged me.
Cliffhanger: as the level is played, check your weapon, more snow is added (and stops after a certain amount) but none the less, snow collects on your weapon!!
It did. I remember when the original TLOU looked mega realistic and same with CoD. The graphics of the past looked so good because they were amazing for their time so it always looked realistic. We’ll one day look back at Uncharted 4 and say holy cow it looks different than from what it did.
The biggest difference I saw was when the building get bombed by the jets in “Team Player”, the Rangers were recording it with smartphones in the remastered, but in the original, they were using flip phones.
Now there is also characters arguing about which building is getting bombed and you can see them pointing stuff around. That wasn't in the original, where all the NPCs stood still. I thought that was neat, and a much needed addition! ALSO! There is a new opening cutscene in that mission, where you truck gets ambushed by an RPG
The final mission where Prices hat falls off as well as his staggered crawl Also the Gulag where you see both Soap and Prices faces and their look of shock and surprise
When they pour the gasoline during loose ends they finally pour it on both ghost and roach. I’m assuming because people back in the day everyone thought ghost didn’t get burned too
He probably wouldn’t have survived realistically anyways. I get people were probably desperate hoping he was somehow alive, but he got shot in the neck with that magnum, and the fire set on roach probably would have spread. Again, probably just desperate hopes that he survived.
Derek Ray Vidana deadass people were using hacks to view Shepard shooting Ghost and were like”he got shot in the lung he probably could’ve survived this plus he wasn’t set on fire” it was honestly fun to theorize that back in the day
I noticed that the characters you play as hold up their hands during explosions and when near fire. EDIT: at the end of Hornets nest when you have to run from militia, inspect your hands while you have no gun. an Easter egg animation plays.
I liked how in the remastered version, during some in game cutscenes the models actually have animated movements when they're speaking, like during "Contingency" When price launched the nuke; in the original Ghost just stood there like a statue while screaming about the nuke. In the remastered he's shown freaking the hell out not only verbally but now with Mocap animation and it looks a whole lot better. Its changes like that in this remastered version that makes the game feel more alive
One minor change I noticed is that there were proper animations for certain interactions, like picking up the briefcase in Exodus, picking up the DSM in Loose Ends, and getting in and out of vehicles, to name a few.
@@theotrovato8250 So was I usually I ignored them cause ya know nothing interesting happened but this time around seeing all the new subtle animations I was like fuck it why not try em out
Ace McKnight There are a huge amount of new executions. The two guys in Cliffhanger, the guy on the railing in The Only Easy day was yesterday, the guy in the cave in the second to last mission, etc.
At the end of no russian. Russian FBI or what it is. Kicks your weapon away from your body and then checks your pulse. As in original he doesnt even checks the pulse he just barely touches your hand.
Good pick up i missed that and the russian equivalent is the FSB federal service bureau tho from what ive read there just the civilian equivalents of spetsnaz so god nos
@@darykeng was it cool i remember the originals looked like russian swat but i didnt see any tags and are the Russian internal troops OMAN? I get confused with all the acronyms i like that one from porridge i did my national service in the RAQSC whats that? Runaway quick someone's coming
There are two more neat changes in the final showdown with General Shepherd. In mw2 when Shepherd points his revolver at Soap he cocks the hammer, but then the cylinder revolves again as he pulls the trigger, which is impossible as the gun would immediately. They fix this in the remaster. Soap also no longer flips his knife in his palm and instead grabs the tip of his blade and raises it to throw.
@@abohachuk4765 Yeah, It always bothered me a little bit how they went for both the dramatic gun stereotypes and broke logic. I'm glad they fixed that.
My favorite change is when Price shot down the chopper. In the original he just shot it three times and it exploded for no reason. In the remaster he fires a grenade on his third shot.
I completely forgot that wasnt there something similar in modern warfare im sure multiplayer one of the gun reloads was different with or without slight of hand
In “Of Their Own Accord”, the 2009 version had some background chatter that is somewhat audible. (Check out “DC Evac radio chatter” in here). In the remaster, parts of it you can actually hear clearly and even subtitled i.e. Chatter from the Washington Memorial evac sight, and surrouding units telling HQ that they are pulling out.
A very minor change is that they gave Scarecrow a completely unique character model in the mission Loose Ends. He used spawn in with a random generic NPC model in the original. Oddly, Ozone still gets a random character model just like the original.
There's also a small change in the "Takedown" mission. In the original game, when the player is about to enter the favela, Royce asks Meat to warn the civilians on the favela to leave the place, and Meat says in Portuguese "Este lugar nao e seguro, sai daqui, depressa" (This place is not safe, get out of here, quick). In the remastered version, the dialogue was cut to "sai daqui, depressa" (get out of here, quick). We should keep in mind that "sai" in Portuguese is the singular form of the verb "to leave". Given the context of the level (i.e. Meat warning multiple people at once), he should have used the plural form ("saiam") instead. The correct way to say the phrase would be "Este lugar nao e seguro, saiam daqui depressa". MW2 is still a great game, though. Your video was also pretty cool too.
Nice observation man, as a Brazilian i am proud that someone noticied it. One interresting thing in this mission is that with the excepcion of Meat the accent of the Brazilian bad guys is correct, Brazilians cariocas the people that live in Rio de janeiro have this accent.
I think it’s more of a small detail, the characters not being Brazilian he wouldn’t be perfect, where as the bad guys are and would, just an opinion though!
you forgot about the takedown animation in the mission "The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday" if you sneak up on the dude chilling at the rail you're able to do a unique takedown animation on him
I love the more “human” interactions the player character has, like how panicked Ramirez kind of seems when you’re pulling out the flare, and the camera dips after the strike is called off, like you just let out a breath you’ve been holding. Additionally, at the end of “No Russian” the Russian Officer (while keeping his weapon aimed at you) examines, checks your pulse, then directs the rest of the officers forward to clear out the rest of the building.
You forgot the fact that on the mission “second sun”, when the rocket explodes, you can hear the panic and rapid breathing in the astronaut you play as
Weird fact. This happened in MW2 as well as MW2 remastered. On the mission “Cliffhanger” when Soap slides down to save Roach. If you look at Soaps gun.... it has a heartbeat sensor. As soon as you both make it to the top of the ice.... and you look at Soaps gun. His gun doesn’t have a heart beat sensor.... so weird to me lol
@@Super_Sphontaine you mean the company that literally created everything you just described called Trijicon? That makes that exact scope for the military and sells very expensively on the civilian market
Desmond Davis Breakpoint has the design in there game obviously without the Trijicon branding. Im sure it’s possible to pay them but Im mainly interested in the ballistic x3 reticle.
When Price launch the missle in CONTINGENCY, Ghost reaction is shocked, unlike the original, he just crouch and do nothing but fuck all with the M4A1 on his arm. Did you notice it?
Whichever character your using if you push down on the D pad when you have the USP with Tactical Knife he does a really cool gun and knife inspection/animation. I'd do it like 20 times in a single mission lol
Luke F oh so you didn’t know the graphics in call of duty modern warfare 2 campaign REMASTERED were updated? You thought they were gonna be the same exact graphics, right?
The begging of first mission is different. When they fall off the waterfall in endgame also different. Custom executions are also performed on the straggling soldiers from the helicopter crash in endgame
I’m pretty sure the intervention sounded like that in the original. I don’t think that was changed it always sounded different vs the multiplayer. I think the f200 sounded different in the campaign also.
Akimbo weapons in singleplayer i noticed maybe they were in the original but there a lot more common now and maybe it was a speaker set up but all guns sound different and usually worse in my opinion they have no base and even the 50cal sounds like a silenced pistol round
Ump has 25 rounds now instead of 32 :/ not to mention all the guns sound nothing like the og versions. Awful downgrade in weapon sounds across the board besides the deagle bc it was ported from mwr and its the same sound in mw2. Everyother gun sounds trash
Don't like what they did with the intervention it doesn't even feel the same they should of kept some of the sounds and reload animations from the original mw2
Near the end of "Endgame" when you're going off the waterfall on the boat, you and Price will jump out and land in the water feet first. Where in the original you both stay in the boat and hold on.
In Cliffhanger the first 2 bad guys you see instead of taking them out with Soap if you go up to them and melee them you do a sweet double assassination with the ice picks or whatever they are called that use to get up the mountain
That INSPECT WEAPON feature carried on from CoD16-MWR lifted any doubt I had, I will preorder Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered (2020) on PC, I will not wait for a sale like I planned to. I have been hoping for a MW2 remastered after MWR, now we'll finally have it, I can't wait!! I can only hope they'll make Spec Ops later on, 1x-2x player MW2 style. Multiplayer as well as custom games with more then 6x bots would be a great treat too. MWR only had 3x killstreaks (UAV,, Harriers & Cobra). That wasn't much of an incentive to go on, whereas to earn a Loadstar, a Paladin (coop style baby!!) or a Juggernaut suit to go on full on rampage ;) I really catched the glimpse of improved graphics over the original. Thx for the vid :)
