everyone’s talking about how he said nobody buys cod for zombies but i only buy the games for the campaign.

The campaign was definitely unique compared to past titles, appreciated the "quality over play time" approach. Despite the limited missions, each was detailed and had their own special side objectives.

Zombies is MASSIVELY different from any other entry, but it's an exciting amount of changes Aether Crystals and the "Skills" menu is mind blowing to a zombies veteran when you start looking at it

I play cod mainly for campaigns, that's my main attraction for the game, and I am happy than lately they've been great, mw and cw are fantastic

I’ve replayed it about 4 times now and I just can’t get enough of it, it’s that good

I was genuinely shocked by how good this campaign was, some choice/decision making that actually affected things, a tone that was a perfect balance of shlocky campy 80's spy thriller and dark psychological thriller, an ALTERNATE ENDING WHERE YOU GET TO PLUG EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE CIA DOUCHEBAGS AND NUKE HALF THE PLANET, YES PLEASE! No but seriously, there was moments in this game that were so good I wish it didn't have that COD franchise attached to it, because removed from the expectations of being a cod game, if it leaned more into those excellent espionage missions and RPG style choices, this could have been a masterpiece. Either way, it's a top 3 COD campaign IMO, and way way better than the MW 1 & 2 reboots, fuck I hate the stories in those games so much.

my favorite mission by far was the OG Woods and Mason mission, there is a side quest where you can get a key and unlock a weapons vault and it has a one shot revolver that brings back memorys, that mission was hella fun. also woods is an onion

I think people hate zombies because of how hand holdy it is like with the minimap and hud objectives for things like PaP, but I still love it and I’m glad they added a way to exfil and end early rather than do the entire Easter egg to end the game or die

It felt like CoD for one of the first few times understood how to use the video game medium to create at least parts of this story that can only exist as an interactive story. I played it again to change my choices and they actually mattered in significant ways! Like holy shit, more of this in games please.

A thing that will hopefully improve the multiplayers SBMM is that it is confirmed that they are working on ranked. One of treyarchs workers commented on scumps tweet about there being no rannked saying that their team is going to work on it. Hopefully then they would take the SBMM in the casual and put that into the ranked mode then made it more loose in the casual.

I’m gonna be real with you, I ALWAYS bought these games for both the campaign and zombies game modes. (Hell, I literally bought BO3 just for the zombie chronicles edition.) Multiplayer was never a huge selling point for me, especially now that it costs the price of a triple A game to even access that shit on consoles. So it’s good to hear that the campaign, in spite of its length, is enjoyable, and zombies is as good as it always usually is. Appreciate the review Charlie.

I'm really glad they made different levels that werent just shooting a bunch of guys. And the enemies don't respawn so harder difficulties arent impossible.

I’m so glad they haven’t gotten rid of zombies yet. Wave shooters have really died out but that doesn’t make them any less fun. Getting in a lobby with some friends and shitting around is always a blast in zombies.
