Hi thanks for amazimg video. I have a question, can I use play-dough instead of clay in making of two part silicone mold to create split line?

echrem hmmm, Playdough is not commonly used for this and there may be reasons for it. We have not tested it ourselves but I would always advise a small test before ever trying on an actual mold project. Platinum silicone may not cure well but Tin silicone may??

Wouldn't AB glue + bone powder achieve a better match color than dye?

what would happen if you cut the first mold in the middle as if it was the second one? would it still work?

Do you mean cut the clear silicone mold completely in 2 halves? Yes, it would still work just fine. It might be more prone to leak at the bottom and produce more flashing that needs to be cleaned up with sandpaper, but not a huge issue. We simply like the fact the mold stays together better and makes a slightly cleaner cast part.
