ATC -- Should've guessed! My late dad, after leaving the R.A.F. trained as an ATCO; Bournemouth, Barton Hall, etc. We didn't see him for three years... My own path mirrors yours, in many ways -- after jumping through all the corporate hoops, a wise man said, "You can do this, but is it really what you want to do?" Music was a passion and, ultimately, inescapable. I agonised over my decision for decades, but have come to realise that he was absolutely right. Power to your elbow.

This is brilliant! So sorry to have missed this, I could have helped answer the questions-I just hadn't realised it was happening! Probably the main point about Melodicer's 'Dice' would be that SIG can do exactly the same just by grabbing a new in Loop play i.e. every time you hit Loop while a Loop is playing the Loop changes bc SIG is still randomising in the background 🙂

I watched this on catchup and found it really interesting. I have a mark2 SIG and absolutely love it The mark2 has the 4 channel strip incorporated and I wholeheartedly agree that sometimes its hard to know what channel is playing which sequence. It doesn’t bother me as I too generally find one channel is enough - in fact I’ve got really interesting results only triggering one! note - using only the trig output - the rhythmic variations can be so cool and you can end up with so many great grooves - using Rings as a cv modulated voice for example The ability to loop these is great

@@MoltenMusicTech Yes I viewed your really interesting video - interviewing Phineas de Thornley Head and Dr Stuart McVeigh who designed and built the SIG - oner of the reasons I bought mine 😀

This was a long video and perhaps I missed you talking about it but the reason the melodicer wasn't running in random mode is because you had thw buttons locked, hold them both for a few seconds and it will go fully random
