"So all of our parents never made mistakes, and some that left us scarred for life?" Quitting your job to go to a whole nother state in hopes of figuring it out and becoming an influencer... Thats not a mistake, thats a series of dumbass decisions with very forseeable consequences for not just herself but also her kids. Yes people (including parents) make mistakes. Not all mistakes are equal, but what she did sounds more in line with.. "engaging in conduct, through negligence or by malice, that creates conditions that place a child in danger of physical or psychological injury" aka child endangerment.

Y'all hear about the woman in Ohio who left her baby girl at home in the crib while she went on vacation for 11 days? Like she expected to just come home & her baby was just gonna be ok not hungry or anything. The baby passed & she had the nerve to say in court that God & her baby girl forgave her. being a social media influencer is a 24/7 job. Its not luck. It takes effort, work, creativity, consistency, ability to learn to pivot and improve and it requires managing teams. Its a flat out business. People that make it have put countless hours in BEFORE quitting their day job. They quit their day job when they were consistently making 30-100k per month from social media.
@anderskronquist9750
@anderskronquist9750 2 месяца назад
Luck, persistence, a bit of skill - you need all three. You can compensate for luck, partially, if you have enough money to keep trying such as rich parents bankrolling you or saving up before doing something like moving to a different state/quitting your job. As your persistence and skill increases, the amount of luck needed to succeed reduces - but it never really goes away, and bad runs of luck can screw you over no matter what (planning and renovating a restaurant only to open with Covid slamming the door, for instance). One reason why people want to be rich quick is rather understandable, and it is because they see no path to becoming rich slow, only barely managing their current lifestyle until a bad enough event strikes them down.

@@peacelove7437 I’m not saying poor people can’t raise children. I’m saying take the kids because she’s being irresponsible and is now HOMELESS because of her irresponsible actions. There’s a difference in being poor and being homeless. Children shouldn’t be raised on the streets, and if their caregivers can’t be more responsible than that, then they aren’t prepared to be caregivers. It’s that’s simple. You don’t get to take risks like that when you’re a parent.
@alexanderthegreat5649
@alexanderthegreat5649 2 месяца назад
@@SharonL92 yup! I agree and it's nothing about "poor" we weren't well off at all, but 1 thing that was constant is we ALWAYS had a roof over our head nor were we always on the move. My mother when she got pregnant with my older brother she was living at granny house she was 18, and didn't have to leave but just had it in her mind she should get her own place and she did and never since had she had to move back, with any of her sisters, friends, or any of that we always had our roof, and never forced pops to do anything meaning never was he on child support or alimony or anything I even asked once why she never did she said you shouldn't have to force a parent(mom or dad) to do anything what they do for their kid be it spend time or money shouldn't be because a court "ordered" them to and I was always going to take care of y'all. So even if pops wasn't giving financially constantly(though he did later on start on his own) we couldn't tell we were poor. We could never even pretend to say we starving, we got clothes/shoes at the the start of every school hear and Christmas, always had a car to get us from A to B. never an expensive 1 a Mitsubishi, and later Nissan both used. I couldn't imagine now she would ever make a decision like leaving with 2 of us let alone a 3rd far away to a new state with a plan of "hopefully I'm going to be really famous and riches will roll in in a few days from now."! I was born in 91 by the time I was 18 we moved 3x and each place was better than the last even if slightly. This decision making of hers I'm not big on using this term because it's overused as an excuse nowadays and hardly actually applies but I think she's mentally skewered. I mean Social Media has obviously messed with her brain a lot and to even have the thought process she did says she wasn't all there in the head to begin with. I've seen negative influences of social media, but I've never actually seen it this bad where a wannabe thought success would come so quick. Metaphorically overnight yes like within a year maybe months hell maybe even 1 month..... but she thought success would quite literally happen overnight w/o any kind of game plan at all. Even people who did fo viral overnight actually were trying before and had worked and produced products of some kind for a while. No one said "I'm going to do this." then just absolutely immediately the very first thing they did was instant success and fame.

Dont take kids from parents unless ABUSE is involved. You dont know where those kids will end up....they love their mother taking them away is trauma.....I realize kids belong with their families unles there is abuse. IF Mom and dad are trying to get it together let it be., @SharonL92
@SharonL92
@SharonL92 Месяц назад
@@user-yc2ic4rp6z Abuse is more than just beating your kids or physically harming them. Putting them in harms way or making irresponsible choices like that that prevent you from providing their BASIC needs (I.e. food and SHELTER) also constitutes abuse. Neglect IS abuse. Being so irresponsible that you quit your job on a whim and end up HOMELESS is a level of neglect (aka ABUSE) that warrants removing the kids at least until she can get her shit together. If you can’t even keep a roof over their heads, then they need to be given to someone who can. CPS always tries to place kids with other family members first, which would be the ideal situation if another relative who is actually responsible could take care of them. Leaving kids with a neglectful parent because the system is broken isn’t better than removing them. If she’s homeless, she doesn’t know where her next meal is coming from and where is she staying? Homeless shelters are not safe for kids! You really think that’s an ok environment for children??? Come on now… This situation absolutely warrants having them removed. I’m not saying she can never get them back, but this situation is FAR from suitable for children.

@@khanhnguyen-tt3ff I heavily disagree as some people just know. I vividly remember at 12 years old, I knew for a fact that I never wanted children. I knew for a fact that I would never be a good mother. I was heavily parentified and forced to play second mother to my two younger sisters, while our actual mom either worked or did whatever the hell she wanted. This amplified even further when she went through her mid life crisis and started going on dates with strange men, acting younger and partying. This lasted until the day I was finally emancipated and moved out of her house into my own apartment with my current boyfriend (seriously God bless him!).This kept me trapped in the house, and HEAVILY stifled my social skills with people my own age. And while I never blamed my sisters for any of this as they had no say on being adopted by mom, I do heavily resent her for destroying my chance of having friends or a normal childhood because of it. When she adopted seven of my younger cousins because of their neglectful father a few years ago, she would immediately try turning to me for free child care again and try shoving them onto me when I had no part in contributing to their existence. She would do this in hopes of it "fixing me" and "changing my mind about kids" which caused me to only push back and be child free harder. Some people don't even need a story such as mine to know that they're unfit to be a parent. Sometimes a simple "because they just don't want to" is reason enough to know they're not cut out for it.

Even a small bit of hard drugs can kill if ingested and can also kill children from touching and sweating as you leak it through youre pores (like acid). All of those drugs most homeless people use. The risk in so many areas is so much higher. Both are dangerous yes but someone whos already made horrible choices and is on the streets already is faaaar more likely to be dangerous and potentially do something then a person who regularly has the government check on their foster homes... I had to take a good hour to really process this video, because the topic hits really close to home with me when I went through almost 3 years of homelessness just like these kids. I see Aba's heart and how he wants to see a family stay together and I see Preach's protection for the children's wellbeing, it's a hard spot where there is no right answer. Ultimately I agree with Preach for the reason that she chose to gamble with her children's wellbeing, the number one thing a parent shouldn't do. Going through homelessness is especially hard on kids, because the only way you survive in an environment like that, is to normalize it. I had to live in a car and share rooms with tweakers in homeless shelters, which are rife with addiction and mental illness. When that is the state of "normalcy" with children, they may believe that abusive/destructive behavior is normal or even rationalize it later in their lives. The hardest part is that the kids' allegiance will lie with their mother UNTIL they're taken out of the environment to get an outside perspective of how messed up things were. But then there's the pain of feeling unwanted/unbelonging in foster care, especially with older kids. The only saving grace in this situation is if the kids temporarily go into forster care, mom shapes up and gets back custody of the kids. But if she chooses not to, it's the kids that bear the consequence of her negligence. Much love to you Aba and Preach

Y’all didn’t even finish the video. It gets worse. She left her husband at home to go do all of this with the kids and now is homeless in a shelter. You know damn well she hasn’t gone back yet because of her pride and it’s her pride alone that is causing the kids to suffer. They ended up giving her some money and supplies to get her and the kids home to her husband/their dad and I wouldn’t be surprised if she just blew the money where she’s at and is right back in the situation we found her in. EDIT: After going back and finding a longer version of this video, I need to point out that I was wrong about the husband. She was living with her mom, not the husband/BD. I’ve lived in a homeless shelter multiple times when I was a high school and my mom put me out and I lived in a foster home. My grandma was the foster parent but it still was way better than being at that homeless shelter. You have nothing at a shelter. You don’t know what bed you’re going to sleep in when you get back from school. You have to carry The few items you do have everywhere with you - so the kitchen when it’s time to eat, to the bathroom when it’s time to shower, you have to have them hung on your bunk when it’s time for you to sleep. You can’t leave anything down because you don’t know if somebody else is going to take it. That feeling of insecurity and the lack of stability still haunts me and I’m 25 years old

Most people don't bother to look deeper into those institutions. It's even if you sleep there can be attempted theft, if you shower you need to be quick and not leave your belongings unguarded. You don't know who slept on the bed you get, and what they had. It really is turning all your defensive instincts on and evrn years after its not so easy to lower them again. Especially with high rates of drug use they constantly need money, so they steal what they can to sell and get drugs from.

As a child who’s currently in foster care, I don’t want them to be taken away, because I know the pain and trauma of being taken away from your mother at a young age and sent to a random place with people you don’t know. But, as a child who had an irresponsible teen mother, I know that it is in their best interest to be removed (at least temporarily) from her care, and (based on what I saw from my own mother), it should be traumatic enough for her to get her stuff together. She should hopefully realize the consequences of her actions and get back on her feet. Take them away until she gets a place and holds a job for several months. Then allow visitation, and if she has shown genuine change, give them back. Let the kids go to a family member so it’s not a legal battle in court and so money doesn’t get involved. I believe in giving people grace, but if she can’t show any change in maturity and responsibility, then take them permanently. She has unfortunately put their well-being and safety at the bottom of her priority list. Don’t even think about going all in on social media until you’re making more than double your annual salary. Edit: After speaking to my mom on her experience, taking the kids away permanently without a plan is not beneficial. There's needs to be a structured rehabilitation. My mother said after I was taken away she just gave up on life, and it wasn't until she had the possibility of getting me back that she got on top of it. So, I believe it does nothing for anyone to just remove them without hope of getting then back. She'll likely end up sinking into a worse situation.

To this day my kids are in sports and other activities I have to find ways to afford and work a crappy pay job. Now when they get older and can take care of themselves I will go back to what I went to school for. This woman does NOT deserve her kids. My friend quit his job the next day and told our coach. She told him she meant when he can't balance auditions and bookings with a 9-5. That is very unlikely to happen in your first 10 years of acting, and this man just heard "quit your job." 😂 That said, he was single with no kids. He ended up starting his own business in the meantime, and now he has three successful companies. We all laugh because my friend COULD be "irresponsible." Yeah, his Haitian mama might have an opinion, but he has no responsibility outside of himself. If he ran out of money, then he's the only not eating. She was working at Denny’s trying to figure stuff out along with getting a disability check for one of her kids. She was shocked when the mayor told her that the city planned to have everybody out of the center by the next day. The center was only open to be a warming center for the cold temperatures that came that day. She should have left her kids at home with her mom in Florida and came by herself or tried to become an influencer in Florida before moving to Houston. She clearly did not plan and I can only hope that CPS didn’t take her kids and that she took her behind right back to Florida.

As someone who was in and out of foster care. My mother had a long list of personal problems. I was never more scared for my life than when i was in my mother's custody. She has borderline personality disorder and she was a stripper. She brought strange men home every other night. The worst part about the whole thing is she was sober. She doesn't drink or do drugs but she decided to subject us kids to that every day. She was worthless and will always be worthless. They should have never given us kids back to her.
@TheRealSyrett

Being a stripper isn't bad but bringing men home is. Is dancing is treated just like any other job then it's fine. You leave to work. You come home 4-8 hours later. You pay the bills, grocery, cook and clean like anyone else... No one even needs to know what to do for work. If there are children then they are left with a caretaker while the parent is working... Anyway stripping is fine. Sorry your mom brought men home and didn't prioritize her kids :/
@SmickyD

@@TheRealSyrett being a stripper is fine. Having kids with 4 different men who paid for sex is not fine. Leaving your 3 kids home alone ages 6,4,2 while you go get your holes filled is not ok. She didn't even do it for money. We barely ever had food. She just fucked for the attention and an escape from her kids. Not only that but my mother blamed me and my brother for having to strip. She told us that when I was 15 and he was 13. Stripping is fine but there is no way to be a functional mother when you are selling your body and not giving a shit about anything but yourself. A stripper is not a mother it's an inherently selfish "profession".

Like most prestigious and lucrative lines of work, only a small minority of people can actually succeed. One of the biggest problems with our society is our inability to accept being average. @Satsaru

No credit is actually terrible to have, and depending on your age is actually worse than having bad credit. I would advise you to get a credit card with a low limit and just use it for gas or groceries and make sure to pay it before interest hits.
@peachykeen799
@peachykeen799 2 месяца назад
you still need a card to develop credit! You cant rent without a good credit score. I waited a long time like an idiot, but you dont need to spend much money a month to build credit. I only put 25-50 dollars on the card every month and paid off the balance after every purchase so I didnt have to pay interest. After a year they gave me a card with points and now my credit card has paid ME nearly $100 in rewards points and Ive never paid them a lick of interest. After doing this for 2 years I had an 810 credit score. I just have the credit card to build credit mostly BUT ALSO a great side benefit of having a credit card is you can dispute fraud far more easier then a debit card. Or any disputes for that matter I also use my credit card for ANY online purchases instead of my debit for that reason. If someone steals your credit card number the worst they can do is destroy your credit for a short period of time compared to draining out your literal bank account leaving you completely empty handed.

Foster care will always be better than a narcissist who is mentally unstable as a parent. Because that dark thought of things being the kids' fault creeps in their head instead of the parent taking accountability. This is why we have so many kids physically abused, treated as meal ticket by parents, treated as tool to spite exes, k3lled by parents or at minimum mentally abused because the "parent" feels the kids belong to them like a bad product and treats them terribly when in a bad mood. There are terrible parts of foster care system and terrible people, but the number of people abused, mentally scarred, and k!lled by their own parents who are f*cked up is underreported.

When you're a creative person who wants to live of content, Creativity runs out as soon as no dimes is coming into your pocket... and it's a tough reality you have to come to terms to. I'm glad that I can at least have a 9/5 to have my back! Best decision I ever made. And yes I still continue creating for fun! Ur friends were talking out of their ass. Anybody who thinks passion is enough in the social media age shouldn’t be giving advice 😂😂😂. Skill, talent, work ethic etc all mean nothing. For the most part social medial is about luck and marketing. Especially art. Considering how much short form video content has taken over the internet it has become incredibly more difficult to gain a following as a visual artist. I agree 100% with ur comment. As an artist myself I’d never think about becoming a full time artist without making sure that my income from art meets or exceeds my 9/5 first. I’m not really in a rush tho I’ve heard too many horror stories about people making it big with their art but then losing the drive and passion due to their hobby becoming a job. When I draw It’s because I like to not because I have to in order to put food on the table.

My son is everything to me and I’ve watched my mom suffer even with a full time job as a nurse due to poor financial decisions, knowing she had three kids with her. I am upset that there are women out there with kids having this mindset that you come first before your own children. Once they are in this world and you decided to take them home, they become priority! Work on your passion one step at a time but never put them in jeopardy like this….I hope they find a safe haven soon.
