16:21 I'm ngl I've been thinking about how Momochi chooses characters for years now and in SFV I concluded that he just picks Blonde people that look cool. He does play some other characters here and there like E. Ryu in IV and Zeku/Seth in V, but as a whole it explains most of his picks lmao. SFIV Mains Cody -> Ken SFV Mains Ken -> Kolin -> Cody SFVI Mains Ken -> Ed Man just enjoys Blonde ruffians and I'm here for it
I've been watching a lot of Momochi and EndingWalker Ed lately. Both has different playing style where Ending used perfect parry a lot and more agressive while Momochi used less perfect parry but less aggressive / more patience. They showed great stuff though and very informative that i used some to improved my Ed. I just wish Ed standing and crouch jab hitbox and his psycho upper startup get a buff in season 2.
Yeah definitely not. I've been playing SF 6 since day 1, got four characters at Master rank, and also participated online + offline tourneys. But i never feel the game is boring especially when pros found new tech every month. Although, some times i felt a bit overwhelmed when comes to the mind games at high level play. But it's not the game fault and more of mine who lacks of training / match up knowledge.
@@thepuppetmaster9284 congratulations on getting four characters to master 👍. Yeah the game is very chaotic and that can be overwhelming at time's but its really fun and I think it will only get better with time.
Ed definitely is extremely well made but I think that’s his biggest weakness, they were so careful and smart when they designed him they forgot that he was being put in a game with characters that get to go monkey mode whenever they want.
I think Capcom decision is intentional because they don't want Ed to be broken out of the gate and changing the meta too much before they released major balance patch. The same can be said for Rashid and AKI although Akuma probably gonna broke the rule lol. Also, it's easier to balance DLC character if they started in the low or middle tier.
That's why some people made two tier list; one for tournament and the other for online match. But i prefer match up tier list which is usually more accurate than tournament or online tier list.
@webadagrande You do know how ELO systems like MR work, right? I'll give you the cliff notes version. In an ELO rank board grinding means nothing. Either you have a win rate of 60% or higher against opponents around your MR, or you start losing points instead of winning them. Against opponents 200 MR below, you need at least a 75% win rate or you start going down in rank. Rage quitters eat s**t because in SF6 each disconnect, no matter the reason, equals two losses instead of the normal one. Long story short, sweaty boys can grind ranks, but anyone with 2000+ MR is the real deal.
