If you watched her stream, the team was saying that she had such a good strat and she's like "what strat? I just think 'I'm gonna do this next'" and I died laughing.
It’s blasphemous for me to say as a dragoon, but i sincerely hope he tries to gief for a bit, fail at it, realize his heart is in another character, and goes on to body Doki in the most anime way possible.
Brian F. Team has the best ambiance,Koefficient has me cracking up. First Round Robin Koefficient went "Coach, pretend you have to pay rent tomorrow, come on Coach we need to pay rent !" He said that during a coach match and I couldn’t stop laughing. Brian was going through it with the demons in his ears. This time around I was impressed with Brian, almost won against JB and Nephew, beat Shine,Diaphone and Automattock. It was a solid reminder he can play ball in this court and I’m all here for it, he definitely had a better footing this around and made it a lot closer than first Round Robin. Team Shine going crazy with their Win streak… dear god. Victoria looking solid on that ED. Doki is a monster and the match that impressed me the most was Doki vs Serotina (not on stream) I didn’t think I’d get to see Doki play really patient neutral. Favourite stream match now that I have the insider knowledge of Brawlpro learning the match up on the fly, that JP vs BrawlPro was insane !
Let it be known, I like watching high end, tippy top competitive fighting games as much as your next person but it's always a special treat when good ol'Majas rolls up with another Slam. Day 2 was WILD and I gotta say; if you watch tournaments enough, you get a feel for who's probably gonna make top 8 if not top 16. These Slams tho? ANYTHING can happen, which makes them so gosh darned entertaining. Keep up the good work Sajam and crew! Can't wait for day 3~!!
This series singlehanded made me motivated to play fighting games again. Been stuck in an harsh depression for a year but watching this makes me feel happy. Thanks for all you do Sajam & team!
I know everyone is chearing for Doki, but i was cheering for team shine. Victoria is incredibly patient with ed. It's genuinely impressive how fast she got to plat and never miss anti airs
I was watching infers stream and I didn’t expect to be so invested in everyone, especially during that crazy win streak. Everyone cheering each other on and giving mini coaching when shine was off playing in ww was fun to watch lol.
Victoria's practice really shows here, which is incredible considering she was panicking a lot during her streams xD Team Shine's chemistry is great, and they get bonus points for me considering their coach was gone most of their 12-0 win streak. I think their biggest advantage is that they're helping teach each other during matches, like when to super lol
The Doki/Brian F combo is the best of things. I watched this entire run through team Brian and man they had a lot of fun. Brian labbed the blanka with Doki right before her match and she crushed it! Brian has been a great coach.
Man Morden Geif was the perfect fit for Doki she's on fire. Being able to simplify the execution requirments with Morden controls and simplify the gameplan with Geif's straightforward gameplan let's her crazy raw insticts shine. Oh good lord if she learns about headbutt and tick throws the Dokizeme will be disgusting.
just a reminder for anyone who forgot (or informing anyone who didn't know) doki won "gamer of the year" at the vtuber awards. she also never played fighting games until the last sajam slam. she's such a noob at the genre that brian has to use playstation button notation when coaching her because she doesn't have any FGC vocabulary at all.
These events singlehandedly pulled me into the fighting game community! Not drawn to Street Fighter nearly as much as Tekken, but they're so much fun to watch and everyone has a great time :)
The training arc at diff levels built into these Sajam tournament formats gives the slams a natural shounen storyline every time, extremely entertaining to follow. Basically every Sajam tourney = Genin exam.
@@alexlandsbergs Doki all about taking the heel title for her squad. Brian_F resisting the pull to darkness(toxic hilarity) with all of his FGC moral fortitude though.
@@DoroboInuBrian F is the one teacher/mentor in every shonen that trained the villain when they were younger and is like “How did it turn out so wrong” and now he’s training the good student (Eskay).
Such a strong performance from Doki! Loving her reaction time, loving her "wheelkick as an anti-air" action. EDIT: Man, Fumi's JP was super impressive stuff, too!
@@Angelm-le7lwit's even more impressive when you consider their coach was gone for most of their matches since he was playing another tournament lol Seeing them all coach each other was pretty wholesome
@@thatonepenguinperson618 yeah I was watching Infers stream, I didn’t think I would be that invested. But it was actually so fun watching them encourage each other and be mini coaches and actually pop off lol
I love JWong immediately assuming I was going for a reset and not just that my hand slipped and I messed up Tensei Kick in the combo... I'M NOT THAT DISRESPECTFUL WHEN I HAVE THE KILL LOLOL
DOKIZEME FTW Doki is finally free from her shackles, the beast is unleashed. I knew Modern Gief would let her use her full potential of pure instinct and great reactions. If you haven't, you should watch her other content, she makes variety and she's always this entertaining. 🙇♂️
Let Dokibird's efforts send the fgc into a state of shock and aw. The silver bird of grapples show no mercy to her victims and will give her loyal dragoons the entertainment they crave. Bow to the menacing vtuber of the fgc.
Sajam and Justin both flawlessly transitioning into Tekken commentary during the PhiDX vs. Brawlpro match was incredible. You'd think these guys are professional commentators or something
Anyone have the time stamp for Automattock vs Nephew? I know it got shown on stream briefly Edit: Found it, 2:33:36, the overlay still says Diaphone vs Brian F but its their match.
I don't like it in SF6 because it makes me feel like the players are playing different games. You either commit to modern or don't bother at all, the lack of cohesion is a bit annoying.
@@lukdbOr separate it from rank or serious competition. Modern is good for the game overall but it doesn’t need to be in competitions. There is a reason why youth sports has different rules than pro sports.
street fighter players have always been about adapting and figuring out the matchup then became screaming babies when Modern came out. Grow up and learn the matchup
Had this on my second monitor so when you started using tekken lingo for phi v brawlpro i legit got confused if autoplay skipped the video The truly unseeable mixup
I cannot imagine how tilted PhiDX must have been after some Noita streamer threw fireballs at him for like 30 seconds straight while he had level 3 charged, then the first time he reacts with level 3 it's a feint fireball and the level 3 gets blocked. Incredible. Coming back and taking round 3 right after is what makes PhiDX a pro, though. The three way tie was insane. I was kind of hoping for an eternal standstill and everyone playing until their fingers were bloody but i guess it didn't need to be that way.
i’m a blanka main and 1:29:33 is very accurate. the amount of people that 1 and done after winning or losing is insane. i love him because he can just impose his will on someone and i can get why people hate that. id rather face blanka than a good cammy any day of the week though
Grappling seems to be more about opportunity, reactions, and "instinct" rather than learning stuff about the characters and game and practicing combos. Which means they're "noob" friendly, or so it seems to me anyway. Never played SF6.
@@kye4216 As I said, haven't played SF6 so not sure what it means. From the context I presume it stands for SPecial D(something), and normally needs a mortal kombat combo of buttons to do? Like back, forward, kick, punch, but with modern controls you can do it with a single button? I can see how that'd be convenient. Is that what the C and M mean at the top? M for modern. C for... classic, I think was the term people used? Why ever play classic if modern is superior? Is there some advantage to it?
I'd say that's about it, at least for those points. Grapplers are typically the worst characters in their respective game because they have very few options, much less options that will allow them to be flexible in their approach- and not being flexible means that you are predictable which is one of the worst things to be in a fighting game. The caveat is of course is that their option, the grab, almost always vastly outweighs any other character's performance- with one move they can turn the tide of a match and start a spiral of damage off poor guesses on oki. This does make it more simple and approachable for new players, especially ones who haven't played fighting games, because options make them overthink or confused on when and where to do anything. Grappler gameplay is very direct, all you need is to get close and grab. The trade off is typically that the strong grabs are locked behind more major commands like half circles and even 360s which can both be difficult for new players to consistently execute while in a match, buffering off block or otherwise is a definite skill. And now here comes modern controls that lets anyone and their dog press the damage button whenever they want and get results that typically take at least some number of hours reaching into the double digits.
On my leverless there's another button for up around my left thumb so you can kinda piano 360's, I usually don't play character's that require those motions though so I'm not good at it but it's there
I really wanted to see Team Diaphone go far but based on the videos he uploaded so far I feel his team got the worse draw because the winning teams mostly had an answer for Diaphone's team gameplans 😕
Kinda off-topic Another day is why I want Dokibird to play Sekiro. Her reactive time is already amazing in the fps game. Her grappling instinct is on point as well.
@@harpot678your right he's been in chat multiple times on dokis streams and watched matches during slam day 2 I forgot I he was in at day 1but he prob was
@@harpot678 she said it almost every time at day 1 so everyone who watched the day 1 will know it, also it was a habit from the tekken slam she also said it every time she rage art
