What I still don’t understand is how they didn’t die getting to the hollow earth, in GVK they needed the heavs to get through portals so they couldn’t die, but now they don’t???

There was no time difference between HE and earth in kvsg movie. The time difference in the hollow earth in this e9 and in the kvsg will be explained in the kvsg 2. I believe in kvsg 2, the kong species was mining the so called mineral which powered the HE for some reasons. This mineral also mentioned in kvsg. Due to over mining, the HE and the rift became unstable. Hence makes human difficult to travel through rift and the time difference to disappear.

Of the mindset that the signal Barnes finds is the whole crew uniting and using the 1962 Op: Hourglass module to broadcast a beacon to Homebase Monarch. Keiko wouldn’t have known of it having “recently” arrived, but would be skilled as the escort. With the realization of time passed, reunion made and emotions had, Shaw would be the one to have the idea that the tech needed to escape would be in attracting another Titan to create another wave to return to the surface. At a guess…

My guess, is maybe the Hollow Earth is layered like our planet maybe team Kong went straight to the core, while Shaw, Mai and Cate landed in one closer to the surface which is why it wasn’t as gravity crushing

There's a sun (light source) finally seen in Hallow Earth. In the electric forest, you can see it at the 0:39 mark of this video. I doubt the creators have any lore invented yet to explain daylight in Hallow Earth, but we now have a visual nonetheless.

I like the show but I really hope no one out there was under the illusion that Keiko was really dead. If she had been THAT would be the shocking reveal. One quibble... I'm struggling with the idea that the best access point in the continental U.S. to the Hollow Earth was in... KANSAS? That just seems weird.

Another thing that doesn’t make sense is the whole time dilation part bc in GVK the Monarch team was down in hollow earth and time was flowing as the same time as the surface. Also at the end of GVK there will be a team living down there with kong and in the trailer for GXK they all age normally 🤷‍♂️

All of these are great points. Either they will find a 2 sentence exposition excuse explaining it away or entirely ignore it, which is going to bother me. Because you’re entirely right, they never once mention time dilation in GvK

So this is super hype that they’re explaining how the hollow earth works, but it does raise some questions which are hopefully answered in the finally. 1. So the hollow earth is supposed to be like a separate realm right , where you have to go through that vortex? But is it like actually inside the earth or not? Cause in GvK we literally see Godzilla burn a hole through the earth to it and Kong just climbs out. 2. So t try he time dilation thing I feel like will have to be something they figure out or doesn’t happen every time. Because in GvK it doesn’t happen when they go with Kong. And at the end of the movie they establish a monarch base in the hollow earth, so there has to be a way to where that doesn’t happen every time, or it would make all that not work. 3. How do they not die with just falling into the hollow earth, like that dude in GvK?

These are loop holes they wont explain..because by the looks of it they are merging or evolving it into pacific rim...They even called the portals Rifts ..similar concepts of needing a Kaiju to cross the rift..which means that the hollow earth theory is incorrect and these rifts take them to a different world ..

This means that this hollow earth part is something different, in gvk the hollow earth is more in the core of the earth in were time works normally. Whoever titan made the portal in thr antartica must be big titan is wlso connected to the core hollow earth, can godzilla used atomic breath to open portal like they in gvk

Axis Mundi, the name of the episode this isnt the same place this is the connection part of the portal think of it like a regulation hance the time dilation strength, my theory is that here is where they connect the hollow earth and the surface I mean this is before the gravity inversion hits, axis mundi is the world point of conection between heaven and earth or in this case between hollow earth and earth

What a HORRIBLE episode! Terribly bloated and empty, the only parts that were any good was the flashbacks and the parts with Kurt Kussell. The BIG reveal of Keiko surviving is a let down and of course Anna Sawai and Kiersey Clemons do everything possible to drag the story down. Kurt Russell and his son Wyatt Russell are the only good parts in this sad, pouty, spoiled, woke disaster . I can only surmise that the director or the producers knew how bad this was but were forced to make this pile of dog sh@t. DONT BOTHER WATCHING!!!!
