I'm sad I missed Transfer Tuesday, but I still want to share my money moves from the past week! Unfortunately, all of the money was moving OUT of my bank account 😓 but some weeks are like that! Not every decision works out how we want it and we never truly know what's ahead, but I'm really appreciating my perspective on employment and finding work/life balance now that I can AFFORD to take a step back in pay. As long as I can get my living situation handled affordably, I remain excited about the options ahead!

No shame on taking the first job! This may have been to just show you the opportunity of part time positions! I had a lay off too and it changed my trajectory completely and I’m so happy for it! I don’t dread work and I don’t dread the time I spend working. That in itself was an eye opener. The amount of space just not hating my work has given me so much more in the way of opportunity.

Don’t be hard on yourself because of your accommodation and like you said it’s a life lesson. State jobs also have good benefits and if it’s full time you could get health insurance. There could be other state positions you could go for in those other months or get a part time job to fill them.

I understand about rental prices and all the uncertainty. Also I've moved many times in life and also looking for a place to call home. I understand and you are not alone. I'm a single gal myself and also not working due to health. Just recently found your channel and can relate to your shares! Nice to know we have community and appreciate your authenticity. Remember to focus on "your exploration of life" None of us have it all figured out. I'm finding the feeling of "unsettled" is a state of mind.

I wish you the best with this April-Dec job! You really lit up when you talked about it so I hope you get it! You can save each month so you have money to use from Jan-Mar and then from Jan-Mar, just have some free time or take another part-time job for 3 months.

you look relaxed & recharged..... ... and the full time seasonal jobs - offer unemployment during the off season. yes they do - my landscapers all collect in winter.... as a tiny bit more leeway for money.

That's right!! I never even thought of that until stepping foot into the unemployment office and being surrounded by the posters and brochures, all there to help seasonal workers!

Never heard of this kind of work like fish taxy. Sounds like fun, you are not sitting in an office all day, and you can support nature. I mean you do not damage/pollute nature by working for your salary (like working in an oil refinery, or in a battery production facility). I understand that you do not want to focus on making $$$ by all means, and other little things are getting more important for you than having a high paying job. But I feel a bit contradiction here. Cause when one already has enough passive income/cash flow, then one can afford all of this (like accepting a lower paying job that makes you happy/satisfied). But people who already got into that position had to swallow the frog for years, and it was necessary to have a high paying job between the age 30-45 in order to enjoy life later at the age 45+. You are young. Probably it’s the time for you now to swallow that frog (for a couple of more years), and later you can afford a part time job or a seasonal job. It’s too early for you to get your dream job (a high paying job would be just fine, especially if you want to invest). Life is long it’s a marathon rather than a sprint.
