Kyle - It has been a treat to see your R&D journey unfold. Have learned a ton along the way from your videos including the experiments, trial and error plus the data. Thanks for everything you do. Good luck down under!
This is a huge step forward! But you definitely made the right decision! Australia is where you can STILL find those legendary nuggets that made California and the Klondike famous! I know you will bring us great content from wherever you are at and can't wait for it!
Great videos chap. Really interesting watching them. Your videos are crystal clear. Can i ask you what you use to film the videos ? Gopro ? if so what model ?
Hello when you say you moved to Australia is that just for the winter and then your back or for good? Your video said forever. I love your Canadian content so you got me a little worried.
It's a semi permanent move. I'll definitely return to Canada at some point and I have kept my boat and car so that I can go mining when I return... but for now I'm living in Australia and intend to stay here for at least 18 months or more. I'll find some gold down under and continue the outdoors adventures soon enough :)
What part of the nsr were you on? Open water at this time of year is what I had last year. I'm pondering how far the gold may travel from it's source(s). I know it gets smaller the farther it travels, and I also know that the old timers never did find the source(s). It was a significant river right up to the 1907 flood which destroyed every dredging operation (Braithwaite was the most successful. He put himself through university with what he recovered becoming Edmonton's coroner or (mortician)? Are you going to hook up with the Tassie boys from down under, or Chris from vo-gus? May you always find gold in your pan.
Hey, This video with the open water was back in early February in Canada. I doubt there would be as much open water this late into winter where I was. It would be cool to hook up with those other RU-vidrs one day, but I haven't made any official plans just yet.
That was my last day out on the river in November 2023. I've since moved to Australia, so no more Alberta mining for a while unless it's a quick edit of some old footage. (I do have some Canadian footage to edit that I'll post from time to time until I've caught up.)
Traitor.....Just kidding. It's been often said that if you can pan and save Alberta Flour gold, you can be an excellent panner anywhere in the world. You have conquered these this not only in a pan, but in an excellent highbanker build to capture our gold. Great skills to take with you to the "Land Of Under."🤩
Hey, I have these full size highbankers listed for sale through my website. Https://www.utmostoutdoors.com They are $1969 Canadian dollars each. You can order through the website or email me for a shipping quote to your area if the website doesn't work for your location. I believe there are currently 2 left in stock at the time of writing this on Jan 31 2024.
I turned the tent fly into a sail and sailed to Australia with it. Along the way I panned the ocean for fish to eat. Also, that is not true. Lol! I have it in storage in Canada. Would love to sail into some places to mine one day though...
