truthfully the only thing that bothers me about this silver surfer situation is this floating rumor that at the end the fantastic 4 will jump universes to the main MCU & the comic accurate silver surfer will be there. if we get a good female silver surfer that gets retcon'd at the end of the movie that'd feel really cheap & i'd be upset she'd never come back.
Dev Patel is an incredible actor, if you haven't seen the film Lion, he's is incredible in it and the film itself is amazing, the final scenes are heartwarmingly gut wrenching, I cry Everytime I watch. Give it a go.

Wasn't the only good thing about the Fantastic Four films the Silver Surfer? You guys said as much in the review of that movie. I'm not against changing gender or race, but the casting seems woefully miscast in this case, and I don't think it makes you a gross sexist for thinking so. I loved her in Ozark. Norrin Radd Is the Silver Surfer. I was a major fan of the character and comic in the 1990s and it is disappointing we won’t get him in the MCU. Would have been great to see Herald Ordeal on the big screen.
It’s only one variant bud. Idk how to tell you this but in an infinite multiverse one project does not define a character so we will see Norrin one day, just not right now and that’s okay.
I delayed listening to this episode until I did my Monday movie day, and ended up sleeping through all the movie times, and seeing The First Omen on Tuesday instead. The latter was actually a really solid, atmospheric horror film. Probably the only downside was that it's a prequel the 1st of a decades old dead franchise. Guess I'll just skip the Monkey Man portion until I see it, 'cause I can't miss my boys!
I think if Marvel are going to exploit comic book characters in their movies, and they are doing this because established IPs have an existing audience, then it is not that unreasonable for that audience to be disappointed in interpretations that are different from the comic.
So it's a movie about a guy who has snakes for eyes - is it played as though it's normal in that world? And does he see what the snakes are seeing or are they just their own thing? I can't wait for these questions to be answered in the next episode.

Just to confirm after watching too much right wing nerd nonsense I realised it was complete nonsense but then recently watching some other reaction channels I realise it mainly is just saying stuff for money and even to the point that most believe they are friends with the nerds on the other side and that they feed off each other keeping the react money flowing by making it seem like they all have hot takes but really they are just saying whatever will maximise their views. I hold that every character is someone's favorite. There's probably one or two folks out there who are really into Stilt Man.
