I’m planning on ordering this very soon. Hoping I don’t run into any issues. Really suck how long you had to wait. Thanks for this vid and the info you provided us!
Thanks for the support, if you contact them they may still make the generation 1. I know a lot of kits they take off their website until someone contacts them about it.
This kit is fire. I'm gonna be throwing a turbo on my built 1zz spyder soon. From your experience how does 300wheel feel around corners? How the response is basically what I'm asking since this will be my first turbo car built for touge/circuit environments
I think it’s mainly the torque that makes a big difference. My car makes 380 wheel but makes a continuous 290-315 wheel torque starting from 2400rpm. Because of this I don’t have too much lag or a sudden power gain which would unsettle the car. 1zz turbo with 300 wheel would prob be super fast still but I think w the right tire and supporting mods it’ll be fine. To be honest I can’t say much since I haven’t taken my car to auto x or track day since the kswap
Appreciate the response man and that’s exactly what I was thinking. I’m aiming for a flat torque curve around the same torque as you. That’s why I’m sticking 1zz instead of 2zz as it’s has more stroke and thus more torque on the low end while staying on the lightweight side. Appreciate the input, hope to see you grow your channel. I’d love to see pov driving vids from a car like yours
@@takumidrives4523 definitely will do man! You’ll have plenty of fun with that! I’ll be back in town with my car in the summer. I’ll record a ton of driving footage :)
Wrap kinda hid some of the imperfections (the pin holes) and some of the unevenness. If I were to paint, I would definitely go the extra mile to get all the body work perfect and make sure all the surfaces were “show quality” just wasn’t in my interest/budget at the time. Definitely in the future tho
