OMG! The idea about playing a test tone on the crossover frequency is genius! I was never able to the the phase right so I always get a huge null on the crossover, but now I can fix that! Thank you so much!

Appreciate the walkthrough for setting a sub up. Will that design only allow for laying sideways or can you stand it up also? I see how long it is and think it will always be in the back of my head is it going to tip over.

Thanks for the very helpful video! I finally got mine to work well for movies/shows, but for some reason the punch just isn’t there for streaming music. It’s working, but my two back subs are doing 90% of the work when it comes to Tidal or Spotify. Any idea how to fix?

Hey what 4k player do you currently use in your setup. I got the Sony X800m2 and was contemplating returning it and getting the Panasonic Dp-ub820.

I use the Panasonic ub9000. It has incredible picture. the 820 is very similar. I had the sony 800 and I could not stand the operation after the "update" It crashed often and was not user friendly after i did the update. before the update it was great

So you have to have it sealed in extended mode I have the regular single 15 I run in extended mode with no port plugs and it does not require them and youthman tested that sub in extended mode without the port plug wondering is this some new guideline for the sub or did you misspeak

Hey. I dont know if ill get a response. But I finally got 2 of these, replaced supercube trinity and reference, i hooked them up following your guide. During calibration they rumble but still feel less powerful than what was replaced. When i play music or watch a movie they don't really do much of anything way less than my other subs. It feel like they dont get enough juice and i know they should be way more powerful. Thx setup barely produces anything and have to max out settings on lfe to get something.

I need these in my life. My theater room is 3500 cubic feet and my single klipsch 12" just isnt doing it.

The real question is with your room if one M215 is better than two separate 15's. THAT is the real question. I'm guessing you'll be able to get better sound with two so you can maximize their performance with ideal placement. But who knows! I'd give Monolith your room dimensions & particulars and ask.

Do I need to have a certificate THX receiver to leave the sub on all THX REF settings? Or it doesn't matter if the receiver is THX or Not? My reciver is a Marantz SR 7012.

I have the phase on 0 Level om off (click) or 0/5db Crossover button down THX (off) Crossover button down THX What ever I do.. it's not a great effect. To much and not a clean effect To boomy. My sub before was a klipsch. R-112SW I don't understand the settings.. I don't have a certified THX receiver. Denon 3500H

mann that sub sucks...no good extension but only DB at 30hz or 40hz.....how did we went backwards ?

I agree. That sub sucks the air out of my room and just freaking shakes EVERYTHING and punches you in the chest. The PB16 just didn't do it. It couldn't even handle the into to Edge of Tomorrow without farting 😅 the Mono on the other hand took it like a champ!
