She says that “maybe it’s still control of itself” probably meaning that malzeno is fighting the quiro but the next line she says is “but this time our true adversary” is something idk something is definitely off here or maybe I’m thinking too hard on it. But maybe it’s a surprise monster, I say that because if you look at the detail of this trailer such as the time of day as the introduction of this malzeno was introduced during a orange vibe in the atmosphere almost as the sun is rising up but when he looks up it’s bluish white now meaning time has passed during the fight as the quiro just ignore malzeno flying somewhere else so I’m not sure what’s happening.

i really hope so, as i adore the thought of an elder dragon, that's actually choosing to not actively be destructive and instead is the opposite, might also be why i adore Chameleos, in hindsight, he really isn't that destructive, sure poison is bad, but mist ?, going invisible ?, if anything he's just a cheeky bugger

My current prediction is that after we "kill" Primordial Malzeno in the story quest, in the cutscene afterwards, it gets back up. It's still alive, but decidedly not Qurio-influenced anymore thanks to us beating the Qurio Affliction out of it. It leaves of its own volition, no longer hostile.

series peaked at genU i loved sb(just a bit sad there was no big fight like prev mhs) and world was good when the last 2 monsters were added but for me it peaked at genU

​@gazeffmhu2374 What do you mean by big fight? Amatsu is a big fight and so is Pri Mal in its own right. Not only does it have the increased monster tracking in Rise that makes the fight more engaging and riskier, it also caps off the Elgado storyline.

It's definitely weird and it might be some kind of surprise but I highly doubt it's an additional monster. Imagine if it's a variant of Gaismagorm tho

You are going to be disappointed if you are expecting anything else.

There's nothing else indicated from the data mine. The Qurio flying away from him might just be part of his intro cutscene, a story cutscene, or maybe even a phase change or something. I'd set my expectations low if I were you.

I don't know if it is a roar or simply a sound, but if it is a roar, maybe the reason it took a while from TU5 to now might be the fact they are adding another secret monster, though I doubt that. But hey, they wait is not long since it is tomorrow.

My current unlikely theory is that, by the end of the quest after we "slay" it, Primordial Malzeno will get back up in the following cutscene. It'll be free of the Qurio influence after we beat the sh*t out of it, and fly off having successfully staved off its Affliction.

I went back to listen, it's a deep sounding roar... Now; i only played world and rise so older hunters correct me, but i was thinking nergigante or another brute like monster, maybe deviljo? any other suggestions?

​@@Morixnon its not deviljho. Jhos roar is Tiger like and this one is way too light. It could be Rathaloses old roar but its hard to make out.

Maybe this roar is what is causing the affliction, and we get to fight it to conclude the affliction storyline?

I mean that's the purpose of the Investigations.. The whole thing was more of a Long clean-up since Gaismagorm is dead...

@@The_Mewster69 You're heavily tying gameplay to narrative which is a big No-no especially in Monster Hunter... Because alot of things will not make sense if you do that... Also yes.. We're doing alot of progress since we even managed to hunt Risen Elder Dragons now... That's a win for the hunters there, Yes there's no cutscene to showcase such event but you can see it by the dialogues...

@@vivid8979 I’m not really implying narrative, I’m more so just pointing out the lack of it and how it could be remedied. What dialogue proves we’ve been effective in combating the Qurio? All Bahari ever talks about is progress in our research and without any mention of us defeating the Qurio. Hell all the quest descriptions for investigations make it sound like we aren’t doing anything since they keep spreading on to more dangerous hosts to use. Risen Elders would indicate that they’re not faltering since it’d be harder for the Qurio to affect an Elder Dragon and yet we’ve seen 5 Elders fall subject to them.

It wasn't World, but it was still a great game. The big issue is that monster hunter "fans" that has only ever played World (cause the others are outdated and old LOL) were expecting World 2 all along, but instead got something quite different. If you stayed open minded this game did not disappoint in most areas, and even had a lot of things it did better than World. It doesn't help the community that the casuals that only care about graphics and black dragons are so vocal though, they make it harder for actual fans to just enjoy the game. But no, complainers got to complain about not getting Fatalis in this game too, or that the maps were not as good, or that the game should have been made for "actual consoles" instead so that it could look better. Just needed to rant a bit, those children really doesn't care about anything else but getting another fricking Fatalis fight in every game that the series has. Allow switch players to get a game too? Nah, only "real fans" (read *console players*) get to have monster hunter now. I'm just so pissed.

@Wez Baker it makes me very happy too but my dark secret is that world was the first monster hunter game I played. But I was a fan of monster hunter wayyyyy before it came out would play the demos of the games on my brothers 3ds but sadly I was not allowed to get any full games until world came out. But I do love sunbreak for everything it has done and in the end I have enjoyed it more than my time on Iceborne

It still a let down they show only one monster and nothing else what the update offers like the armor set and new affliction stuff or anything like that

The defs decided to put in an Extra monster (for free) and people are still complaining

It’s not free a paid 40 dollars for it just cause they spaced out the content doesn’t mean it wasn’t apart of sunbreak an expansion I paid for
