This IS anjanath theme, it's actually called 'savage of the forest' it only plays for anja, the large monster forest theme plays for other large AF monsters
Fuck anjanath. It's not that he is difficult but the amount of bullshit in this fight. Everytime I Position myself to do my combos some magical fairy hitbox bs knocks me back. And his fire hitbox Jesus sometimes I am literally underneath him and he coughs up fire and it hits me.
Anjanath seems to be one of capcoms favourites for some reason He was the first monster that was shown for world and he was like the poster boy for world besides of course nergigante, he got 2 missions in the base game for no reason one in low rank and another in high rank, he was shown off in all the trailers of the game and in iceborne he got a subspecies where the raised him to apex level and he’s now seen throwing around zinogre and diablos like toys and he was confirmed for stories two ( finally I can ride this thing into battle) and he’s probably going to be in rise ( considering that great jagras and tobi kadchi are there it’s reasonable that anjanath would be there too) He is my favourite monster and always will be He is the perfect monster in my eyes the base kind of what makes a good monster and it looks like he’s here to stay.
The Anjanath here is troublesome and scary, but tbh, I love him for that. I think it's an excellent game design choice to throw in such a huge and powerful apex predator to antagonise an entire map... meant for BEGINNERS. The Anjanath serves as an extra, basically unstoppable mega hazard for the early game, no matter what quest the player is doing. It's Monster Hunter's way of saying, "Yeah, you're a hunter, new guy, and you're welcomed, but we won't save you from becoming a prey either. Stay in your lane, and get used to it if you wanna get into this game, bitch."
He was a little difficult, but never Hard. He carted me a couple times as a noob, but it was actually Rathalos that gave me the real trouble. I carted 7 times to that red flying jerk. Anja quickly became a joke. He's very deliberate and telegraphed after you fight him the first few times. It got pretty easy.
yesterday i killed 2 anjas, it was fairly easy as i used IG and had a set that increased my HP and ATK, btw i only just unlocked wildspire wests at the time.
I will never forget when Rathalos picked this big bastard up and freaking DROPPED him crashing down to the ground. You don't invade the OG dragon kings house. You just GET OUT. This fight as incredible, and I feel like the boss for doing it solo. Ever moment was tense, and the slightest slip could mean game over. It was human intellect and willpower vs a pure force of nature. As it should be.
Lmao I picked this up recently on PC and was chasing Anjie up to Rathalos' scratching post, (The clearing where you first meet Tobi) and Anjie picked a fight with Rath when she got up there, only to be dropped to the bottom of the tree. It was hilarious. Then I had to run from Rath tho.
To be fair its the OG dragon king that invaded HIS house, Anjanath is the native apex predator of the New World, Rathalos recently flew in as an invasive species
Yup, this song is what made me start loving the game. Felt like I was on an adventure in a movie or something when I would be running from the monsters
I used this song in a little monster hunter themed D&D session where my players were hunting an Anjanath. I started it as I described the anjanath smashing through the vines behind the party and as he caught the warlock in his jaws. I think it really added to the feeling of surprise this "ambush" should have brought.

My favorite theme so far. Bombastic and exciting, really hyping the battle up. I love the transition that plays as you're chasing the monster to a new area, a sort of calm yet anxious beat, followed by the coolest little string section melody. Can't wait!
I absolutely love this thing. It may be my favorite new monster from the entirety of world. I always felt like it was trying to act like Deviljho, but lacked any of the horror, hunger, and power that thing has, so it just does it’s best to cause as much chaos as it can. Which, obviously, isn’t much, but I love the effort and the personality. He’s the good boi to me.
Lol, she's always been a her to me, because from the start I just shortened her name to Anjie. Capcom was talking about creature design when the game came out and mentioned that her visual design was based on (at the time) modern reconstructions of T-rex. Being the T-rex nerd I am, when I finally faced off against her in the game, I fell in love. And then she showed up to every Ancient Forest fight after and frustrated the hell out of me. I love Anjie
@@LR-jb6zn I’m referring more to how aggressive he is and his fighting style. Some of his attacks literally have him dragging his jaws through the ground in an effort to scoop you up in a very Deviljho esque manner.
Man, this theme sure is epic as hell! Sure captures the feel of fighting a massive monster. Though, I personally think that this theme would fit more in a cloudy environment with lots of rain and lightning... Maybe even in a battle in the middle of a sea.
I honestly think the theme fits better with a jungle region, much like the Ancient forest. Although, it is even more epic whenever it rains in the ancient forest. Experienced it happen a couple of times while a Anjanath and Tobi Kadachi were duking it out. Of course, the Anjanath would always chase the Tobi away since it's literally the chad of the ancient forest.
Doing the Redifining the Power Couple quest chilling with my buds Wrathian and Wrathalos and suddenly Anjanath bursts in like it's a house party and he'd already been doing some hardcore pregaming all like "HEY U GUYS WHERE'S THE KEG?!" 😂
I watched Anjie run up on Rathalos one time after we'd grounded him and broken his wings. And by 'Run Up' I mean suddenly flying kick in on the Wyvern from screen right. Revenge for all the Turf War animations she endured against the guy, I guess.
Jordan William no men you are wrong implay mh since the first one, and always theres shared themes for each map, theres some monsters that have exclusive themes, if you fight with rathalos in this same map, the same theme will play
Hunters Chile There are several shared area themes, yes I know that. But that theme is actually mainly for certain monsters like the Verdant Hills (Forest & Hills) mainly for Rathalos, Deserted Island for Lagiacrus, and Old Desert (Dunes) for Monoblos, etc.
I remember first battling anjinath after taking out a couple kulus and that was one if my most special moments. I got such a high out of it seeing THIS was what monster hunter was all about. Got such a high fighting anjinath and he did yes get away cause my weapons were horrible but man it was AWESOME and this always has been my favorite theme. Made me say to myself "OMG this is crazy, I'm actually doing this!" My favorite part is definitely around 1:14 basically almost projecting the titan Anjinath was and was the games way of saying "welcome to monster hunter" and "look at what you're fighting!"
I remember this theme was the first rathalos fight I did, I was still in high rank and decided to give rathalos a go and this theme was perfect for him as I got that high I did fighting anjinath basically saying *dude you're fighting the big bad boy*. Not only did I take him out but 2 other rathalos and captured an azure in that hunt. Now Rathalos is my arch rival and always gives me a fantastic fight.
Awesome theme for a Rathalos VS Anjanath battle, with the first yelling "What about sniffing less cocaine and bowing before the King, huh?? YA HEARD ME???" 😎

My first time, it took me 30 minutes to kill anjanath with sns but it was pretty early. I think I saw him when I was hunting down a great jagras and it reminded me of that one vajra in an ogretail hunting mission in gods eater burst. My inner God eater wanted to hunt that beast down.
Welp I finally downed him. Now I just gonna move on. I don't even want his armor I'll just advance into the story and (Avajanth drops Avajanth Plate)...Goddammit now I HAVE to get his armor!!
I was astounded by the music of ancient forest, but as time goes by, it lost its flare. Like the longer you listen to it, it gets much more generic. But hey its just my opinion.
