What surprises me the most about this was just how strong that shell was. Only thing I can think of that can be compared to that shell is an ostrich egg shell. Very nice.

The most important part of chopping is to make sure you a nice, rusty, dull blade.

It has always fascinated me how different cultures prepare food and what they have figured out is good to eat.

Imagine being at home, minding your own business, and someone breaks into your house with a cleaver, and pulls you out, chops you up and eats you! Such is the life of a giant snail.

I wonder if the first person to eat them was like "oh, look at this huge striped blob that's oozing snot. Wonder what it tastes lik"..

They did a good job pulling it out of the shell. They didn't spend 10 minutes playing with it's guts before the shell was removed and I appreciate that. Thank you

I always thought (when I was really young) if you took the shell off a snail it became a slug.

As long as it's not one of them snails with people eyes, I'm cool with it. She was really efficient breaking it down, too. I had a bad experience the first time I tried sea snail, but I feel like this preparation looks much tastier (if I could even taste after those nitro birds eye chilis- I can handle heat, but my palette gets overwhelmed)

You should not kill or eat that, its the number one enemies of Crown-of-Thorns which will kill corals. those Snail takes care of the coral reef.

Here in the US that would be an amazingly expensive pet.

As a vietnamese, it's not a rusty cleaver, just knives made out of cheap, low quality material that gives uneven looks and color. my mom got one just like that and when you touch it, it feels just like a normal knife, thicker with a bit duller edge than the regular kitchen knife

I enjoyed the sounds throughout the whole video, from the fire crackling to the heavy chopping with the cleaver.. mesmerising to watch and listen to! Not even acknowledging the snail itself, or the click bait. That jungle lady is BOSS. Imagine your kitchen was a whole rain forest!

It looks like a mushroom when it's cooked. But I can't imagine it being good. Like, it has to be really tough and chewy. It's basically just a giant piece of muscle.

That's a zero waste meal alright. Besides the shell, everything is used in this kitchen and even the banana flower petals as a takeout plate. Beautiful work!
