Love my Peru. Such an underrated plant. You’re spot on with the propagation issue. It’s known for being a very difficult to propagate. Once it takes off though…easy.

I couldn't have said it better. I even tried air layering and had no luck either

Reallly enjoyed this video. I also have a peru...mine is very large and climbing. I received it as a small rooted plant. 3 leaves? Maybe? Around the same time you got yours. I have never tried to propagate because of the fact that it doesn't root up very well. Plus, I'm not a propagating kind of gal, so I know the propagation would not be successful for me. Looking forward to the next video!

Just saying, try placing a stem in soil but do not cut the stem. Just wait until you see a few new leaves then cut stem. 🪴

You are very welcome! Sometime a large plant is better than lots of little ones lol

I have a Peru. I have been allowing it to trail. Yours is beautiful. I notice that the leaves did not get larger. Like you, I do not like looking at a naked pole; therefore, I do not have any plants growing on a pole. Thanks for sharing. I will try a pole using your method. I look forward to seeing your next video.

I too have an aversion to poles. My Monstera Peru trails down. It has grown so much in six months. I clipped a runner to propagate by placing it fish tank. It rooted rather quickly, potted it up and gave it to my Gummy Bear dealer. 🐻
@RootsReady
@RootsReady 10 месяцев назад
Haha! It's sounds like a good deal if you ask me. Great tip about using the fish tank

@@RootsReady Hola Lethius, I am posting my monstera peru today thanks to your motivation. Gustavo's tank is full with Exotica Scindapsus, so can't propagate there, but I am chopping the plant to propagate in water today. Will be sure to link you in description and include your video

thank you for sharing your care with this plant. is this monstera that make holes on leaf?
@RootsReady

You are welcome! To my knowledge this one doesn't have any hole, however I am yet to see a really mature one. They may develop the fenestration after a while

Hi, I am a new owner of a peru. When you propagate your nodes, did you place them in water first to start the roots to grow ?
@RootsReady
@RootsReady 5 месяцев назад
What a great purchase. I would suggest air layering it with moss. That worked well for me

Bro, Is that the Imperial Red at beginning in background 🤔 Or is that a Black Cardinal? I know you have an Imperial Red Philodendron, so my guess is the former 🎰🎲🎲all bets on IRP
@RootsReady
@RootsReady 10 месяцев назад
You are 100% right. It is indeed an imperial red
