The Montage M6 has arrived! Developed the sounds for Africa by Toto optimized for the Montage M in the first 24 hours with it. Built in harmonies and cycling harmony notes can be used by pressing the Assign 1 button and using the Super Knob. It's a major level up from the previous Montage.

That’s how to do it. I’m just starting to scratch the surface of my M8x. It’s been a long time since I have owned a workstation type synth. Like 25 years. I have a a lot of catching up to do. Sounds like you have it pretty much mastered. The M series are quite a piece technology. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks narfsounds for this informative video. I'm currently thinking to switch to Montage 8 and now checking through Montage features to be sure it mactches my style of stage performance. I have two questions: 1. Is it possible to create custom styles or rhythms that can be used in the accompaniment? 2. Is it possible to create an acoustic guitar strumming pattern in one of the tracks of a style/rhythm? Thank once again, looking forward to your answers

Yes to both questions however it sounds like what you need is an arranger keyboard such as a PA5x or Genos 2.

To set a loop to a fixed tempo, you can splice the wav loop into eight or sixteenth notes then trigger evenly with the cycle feature within elements in a Part.

My band tunes down a half step, how can I adjust the solo to play a half step down? Can you do a tutorial on this?

You’ll have to edit each part , enter each element and transpose by -1 ( don’t note shift in Common). Gonna be a major pain in the ass doing it if you want to play the harmonies. If you’ll play it the standard way, just transpose your keyboard by -1.

No, it has always been there on the Montage

No you can't do this with just any keyboard. If you watch the full video you'll see that it's a Single Performance with multiple harmonies, cycling notes with 24 layers in some single parts. With the option to control volumes of individual elements. For most other keyboards, you'll have to break this into separate multiple sounds. There aren't any keyboards as powerful as the Montage M.
