This performance was recorded while Monte's main guitar was being rebuilt by Alvarez for his upcoming ACL performance. Alvarez supplied a substitute of the same model for this rare TMC performance. This brings back so many good memories. Thank you for sharing this. This is the year (1998) that I found out about Monte. I bet I've been to at least 50 live shows across Texas. I've had the pleasure of meeting him, his Mom, his then wife, his daughter, Phil, and Chris. Man, his shows were epic. Back in those days the party was on. I can't believe it's been 26 years. Again, thank you for sharing this. It brought a smile to my face.

For old time sakes, i checked out Monte.... Sad to say the last time i saw him live was roughly 2000 at the old cement plant in San Antonio. i forget what that area is called. Great show. hopefully can catch Monte in El Dorado Ar summer of 2024. they do a great job with their historic district. Any fans looking for a road trip, don't overlook the MAD arts district!!!

Don't subscribe to this COMMERCIAL greedy channel... Hard to enjoy when it cuts out right in the middle of a song for a COMMERCIAL over and over again. There are better channels to watch Monte on with less BS. Block this crap...
