That was exactly why I made this video! You won't regret the 37. The Beat Frequency on the front panel alone makes the 37 a winner.

I do a full sub Phatty walk through! If you want global settings though manual is best bet

I've never owned the Subsequent sorry! But I went with the original sub 37 as it seems a bit more growly/distorted/less clean to my ears from demos.

@@MilesAwayOfficial Absolutely! And yeah it really is, I totally love the one on the 25, it adds so much depth and makes it so creamy. I really wanted the Sub 37, who doesn’t LoL. It’s gotta be one of the best keyboards in existence. But.. Its not perfect as nothing is. For me it’s too big (have to travel a lot for gigs and practice), it’s too expensive, and honestly the other reason I didn’t get it is because I was afraid I was going to just rely too much on the 256 presets instead of actually learning how to make my own sounds. I read they upgraded a few things on the 25, so that’s the one I went with and it definitely did not disappoint. Definitely recommend it for anyone who can’t afford a 37 but still wants the same kind of sound :) Thanks again man!

Yes absolutely! It's the best mid priced synth in terms of logical workflow. Phatty is great for beginners too

I've only played the 25 briefly, but from my knowledge it's much more similar to the Sub Phatty!

My pleasure! My advice: save a couple hundred more and get a used Sub 37. It's just so worth it with how discounted they can get on CL / Ebay Hang around for more synth content :)

Yo! Just saw this Danny. I’d say it depends if you care about modulation. The Phatty line sounds great but lack the modulation of the 37, which is why I sold my Phatty

Sub 37 imho! It's one of the greatest laid out synths ever made, the sound can be beautiful or evil and distorted, and it's the best modern monosynth to this day. Little phatty only wins in terms of classic Moog sound. Much more limited.

37 imho! The little fatty sounds nice but is far too limited in my opinion. if you really want that classic mode sound and don't like the modern sound of the 37, get a grandmother
