This intro was definitely what got me to watch the show. Even for an era that was moving more and more away from lengthy sitcom openings, it had a compelling, simple, regional charm that sold me right away as a teenager.
Mine too, by far. The others were fine as music video intros in individual eps, but they should have left the theme alone. Plus this one had extra meaning because it tied back to another Cleveland staple...Big Chuck and Little John.
Unlikely, people with gigs like that tend to ride them till the wheels fall off, but it doesn't mean that they couldn't do multiple things at the same time. It'd be nice though. Or at least, have him back on Whose Line anyways. show stopped being funny after he left.
Aisha simply doesn’t have the same chemistry with the boys as Drew did. The other half, in my opinion, is the CW cramming ‘guest stars’ into every episode in a poorly disguised advertisement; quite a few of which (if not all of them) are from their other failing shows.
This weird, funky intro caricature singing lured me into Drew Carey show ! Also got me to listen to the entire song and learn something about Parma . Of course Cleveland Rocks was great too but before Drew Carey Parma wasn't really mainstream . Now it is ! Drew was also perfect for that Price is Right gig !
Takes me back to finals.. I turned on the Laff channel so I wasn't studying in utter silence. This, Roseanne, and That 70s Show were always on when I was studying lol
Jonathan Pinckney Truly. there's a longer, non-theme version which drew sings the real moon over parma, but 1. he's singing it slower & 2. it's not as good as the intro.
Man, When I was a kid. At first never liked this show, Back then. Then few months and years later, I started get used to it. When I started listening to "Cleveland Rocks" (Season 3 opening)😁
🤠 Cozi TV needs to bring back Drew Carey, the show is awesome and I miss watching it. Yes I know ever September they actually came out with the new type of network I guess you can call it. It's called rewind tv, however a lot of us cannot get it for some reason. Hoping sometime after New Year we all can but I doubt it. Still they need to stop messing with our programs and leave them the way they are. Miss watching The Drew Carey a show
I know I'm really gonna get laughed at for thinking this, but I thought because Drew was portrayed as an overweight character that "Moon over Parma" meant something to do with "Chicken parmesan" and that he sang "We're going bowlin' so don't lose your INSULIN" rather than "so don't lose her in Solon".. 😂😂 what's wrong with me? Love this show though
Nope; the extended version (which is also on RU-vid) has multiple references to places in Ohio, and it’s sort of a love song to Ohio. And Parma is also a city in Ohio. It’s a suburb of Cleveland.
I loved this beginning song. I wish they'd re-run The Drew Carey show again, but I bet he won't let them since he's been hosting The Price is Right. Was a great show.
Money ain't everything if u haven't ever loved what u do money is only happiness if u love ur job I wouldn't even love being an actor lol cause like I said they don't want u to make great shows like this lol
Xfinity in PA has Drew Carey show on Ch 247 ANTTV whatever the fk that is...lol. I searched randomly for it over the years. Never could find it. Can't buy it on DVD, aside from a Etsy or some other non official site. Would love a full series boxset!
@@TheRaNdOmLiFe1000 yeah, I figured that out sometime last night, lol. At first, I was completely sure it was him, but then I second guessed myself. Silly me. Thank you though! 🙂❤
I think they should bring the show back they stop all the good shows cause CBS is to money hungry that's why I wouldn't even wana be a actor cause they want u to make dum shows not good ones anymore
