Brian, thank you for the update on moonpie. Looks really good, and I like the stance. Diffently lift your children and you and your wife in prayer. Take care
Hey Brian, i messaged you the other day. I was asking if you'd had clearance issues with rear wheels and the heavy duty drums. Well 3rd times a charm for me. Went with new Torque thrust 2 wheels. I stayed 15s,15x7 and 15x8 grey centers. Clear just fine
That is such a cool truck! Looks waaay better! Thats a good looking truck buddy! And thanks for the info on the hardware too my friend! You're the best!
Lookin' good, Bryan. Love the new stance. I'm not saying your price is crazy at all, but I'm amazed how much you can pull down for for these trucks in your area - just one state over. There's currently one real similar to Moon Pie (mid 80s SWB, solid "shop truck") in my area (central VA), that started at $9k and is now $8k and still hasn't budged. 😟
There’s a lot that plays into it, hard to say why one hasn’t budged until you look at it. May be a reason. May just be because people are broke 🤷 hard to say
@@gmtim3840 Definitely not a folk's are broke issue. (Central VA is fairly affluent on average.) There is a desire for squares and I've seen decent ones go quickly. But there's just not nearly as many fellas that want C10s as there are in your state and NC and other surrounding states. I think TN is near the top of the market for any type of vintage vehicle because of all the rod run/car action and all the big classic car dealerships in that area.
Looks good, I like the stance. I have a '78 stepside. I'll be running 15x8.5 with 275/60/15 tires. What do you suggest I go with to get it close to your moonpie without rubbing? Did you have to roll the fender lips? Thanks in advance.
I do not suggest a 5/7, they set lower in the rear with the rear flip kit and lowering shackle, just do the flip kit. I actually had to raise this one back up one inch in the front but I am running a tall tire. Wouldn’t have had any trouble with 20’s and a low profile tire, I was really impressed with the stance on this truck before I raised the front up an inch. 2” lowering spindles, 2” lowering springs, a rear flip kit and a 1” lift shackle in the rear. Done great but the tires I have ribbed just a little, I knew they would though
