Luckily even if you don't get secret clearance you can choose another job and still get it then take the time to fix your background or credit to get secret clearance in the future

@@Myloshonee89 2.5 years later, tried to get an ETP waiver for a neck tattoo, battalion commander said yes, brigade said no. A year ago I saved 2000$ for laser removal surgery and I'm 7/12 sessions done and so close to getting a contract. Ive passed everything else at MEPS very frustrating but don't quit. Get letters of recommendation and keep going. I heard a guy went into marsoc with felony charges and got over 50 letters of recommendations and got the contract and was selected.

Once you obtain your permanent residency holding a green card, good to go to join providing you meet all other eligibility requirements. Lewis I just found you. My son seems hell bent on being in the army/military he’s had some surgeries but they were more than a year ago. He got accepted to the Army and was looking to score 60 on the ASVAB to go to the Defense Language Institute. He tests well and a smart kiddo. I knew he’d do well. just took the ASVAB and got a 99 today. Does this change anything much?

I have some dental issues and I'm going to meps for the national guard in a few days, none of my teeth bother me with any pain however, 2 or 3 of them are bad and could probably be pulled, will this dq me?

I’m already going through the enlistment process, but I chose the guard because I wanted to stay in my hometown and m my home state because I still have a life as a skater and an influencer, is it really a good chance by joining the guard? I can have a good military career and actually stay in my hometown? I understand by going full-time there will be what I would assume major sacrifices in time and even deployment, but for the most part just wanna know is going guard really the realistic way to stay in your hometown to have a good military career and still be able to fulfill, my passion
