MORE BALANCED SMASH BROS ULTIMATE 

If the Underdogs ever decide to host another Big Smash Bash, Hopcat's "Balanced" Smash should be one of the events.

The reason Young Link's Bombs did the zoom in is cause it actually hits twice. The first hit spikes hence the zoom in but the second hit sent him upwards.

It really starts to get meta when you make a tier list for this mode and then change them again based on that

I would love to see you play against pro players with and do this with their teirlists

The fact that this is based on the BSD tier list make some of the buffs/nerfs VERY questionnable lmao

Ironically, when the Blue Kirby is stronger it losses. Guess it just proves that the unbeatable Blue Kirby is perfect the way he is.

All of Diddie Kong’s bones all broken while Bowser Jr’s all buffed in this

It's a shame no one else uses this mode. It almost completely changes the game in a really funny way

This is top tier content Would love to see more like balancing the character using tier lists made by the underdogs (together or one each)!

I have an idea that could maybe make the stats more balanced for these videos. Currently, a former top-tier facing a former bottom-tier will have a cumulative stat gap of *60%,* which is kinda bonkers. I have a different scale that could make things a little more even, but still feel different enough from the base game. *Top tier:* Stats reduced by 20%. *High tier:* Stats reduced by 10%. *Mid tier:* Stats unchanged. *Low tier:* Stats increased by 10% *Bottom tier:* Stats increased by 20%. With this scale, the highest cumulative stat gap between characters is only 40%, which is still impactful without being unwinnable. Most matchups will only have a stat gap of 10-20%. Mid tier characters are not directly buffed, but they indirectly benefit from high tier characters and other tough matchups being nerfed, making them feel like more competitive choices overall. I think this could be a decent way to make more characters viable without completely flipping the tier list upside down --like Australia.-- Anyways, great video as always! I'm looking forward to seeing more videos where you mess around with the stat changing feature and play with friends.

When nerfing the combo characters just gives them more combos.

Friendly tip, use Robin's rapid jab on somebody's shield with the +10% custom balance :)

You should mod it to where the characters have their stats/power based on how powerful they are in their canon lore. That’d be interesting to see.

I'm beginning to think that -30% is too much of a down side, maybe only -20% for every top tier except maybe(?) the top 3 and for the worse characters all the fighters at low and bottom still keeps +20 to 30%, mid tiers get +10%, high tiers should stay the same.

i think that the reason the 'buffed characters' do better on a majority is because it implies that the best absolute top tiers and absolute bottom tiers are 60% different, which i think to be the reason why

What Poppt didn't see is that Blue Kirby was actually entirely nerfed (you can tell by his colour), so the true Blue Kirby remains undefeatable

4:20 Pyra and Mythra were my most wanted characters. 100% would have main them even if they would've been low/mid tier if they would still be fun. I've stuck to Byleth when everyone said they were bad, and I would've done the same to Pyra and Mythra

They should do this sort of thing in Smash 6 but also add options for recovery and mobility

I genuinely believe that if they just exaggerate the good aspects of the low tiers more without nerfing the top tiers, then all characters would truly feel viable (mainly speaking for Doc, Mac and Ganon).

Like I do understand that most Smash fans literally play no other games but like some people who play Smash actually do just play characters because they like the characters in their home series, myself included. It’s not my fault that some of my favorite games of all time include Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Persona 5 Royal, and Kid Icarus Uprising: I just have good taste 🤷‍♂️

I think it'd be actually balanced if you reduced the changes by 1. So the mid tiers would remain the same, but the high and low tiers would be only 20% changed

30% is pretty significant if we make it easier for the ones that are 1 lower 1 higher to be just the usual and squish all the buffs and nerfs down it may be more balanced

I have a friend who wanted Mythra nerfed (specifically nerf bair, up air, fsmash, and one of her other moves I can't remember) because they really like Xenoblade 2 and want to main Pyra/Mythra and are tired of the hate they get from it. I feel real bad for them, hopefully they get nerfed in the next game like Cloud/Bayo/Corrin/Ryu did so they still feel good but aren't dominating the tier lists

I think there's some changes you should make to the custom balance levels -10%: Bowser +20%: Any character that formerly got the +30% buff other than Dr. Mario, Little Mac and Ganondorf, DK, Dedede, Ice Climbers, Isabelle, Ridley and Mii Swordfighter +30%: Only Dr. Mario, Little Mac and Ganondorf

This is reversed, exactly what I thought with the first vid! So good to see some of these characters being top tiers and some being so bad now. Because making a character 30% better whilst also making the good character 30% weaker now you have the good characters theoretically being worse than the bad characters. Love this idea though and is so cool to see Gannon so op.

Imagine if we balanced smash bros ourselves with spirits, buff the attributes of characters who are weaker. For example every character has the same base spirit so they can all do the same amount of damage they normally do. for example kirby and incineroar weakness are they are slow so just buff them with one speed up or go to a dojo and slightly buff their speed.

Australians would rather neutral get up into a guy charging a smash attack than do a get up attack

I feel like this isn’t balancing the characters, but rather just reversing the tier list. The low tiers are now the only viable ones and the high tiers are awful. The only way to fix this is to only nerf the top tiers without buffing the bottom tiers or buff the bottom tiers without nerfing the top tiers.
