I know static thrust tests aren't the exact metric to base motors on. But, if for whatever reason you were, it looks to me like the 1404 is better than the 1603.
Which leads to believe that 1404, while outwardly being quiet efficient with 4 inch low pitch props, are subtly under-torqued for them to be reaching rpm sweet spot.
What would be the reason for that current signal is more noisy with the 1404 vs 1603? eg: 10:25, but seen at other steps and test runs ... the 1404 have much higher amplitude of current noise, which translates into variation in output power. I'd assume same test rig and ESC used, so difference likely with motor. Perhaps motor vibration, or propeller induced vibrations (mechanical, or aerodynamic ... but thinking more likely electrical-mechanical as occurs at various rpm values)
Fantastic testing and comparison, Gal! 😃 Pretty interesting results indeed! Those motors seem to be the way to go! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
@@KremerFPV Than how one guy managed to fly 2S 18650 on 4" 1404? I thought 1603 can do same, if not better, because has nearly same stator volume and weight.
