They definitely pushed the graphics to the limit at the time. It maintains a level of realism why still making things look and feel surreal.

I'm nervous for VI without Lazlow running much of the radio designing. He's a reason for a lot of my musical and humor taste! Never even realized it till I got older but they always squeezed in lots of comedians and radio personalities at the time to do a lot of the jingles, commercials, etc

There's entire groups of Rockstar workers that handle the radios like licensing the music and I imagine a lot of the "important" people at Rockstar get to decide what songs are in. He was basically the head leader of the radio along with others like DJ Pooh that used their industry connections to make sure the soundtrack is always on point. I just heard a podcast with Lazlow where he did describe writing a lot of the commercials and such in a lot of Rockstar's biggest games
