There is a quota for squid. It's not like we catch all the squid in the ocean. We are fisherman, this is our job. It's how we feed our families. If you don't like it don't watch the video, and don't eat any seafood.

I was a riding in a squid jigger ship in Argentina squid ground, and I never seen as much as many like in this video for 2 months of staying in squid ground. Very awesome. Your putting directly the squid inside freezer instead of size classifying before putting in the storage, it's make more easier than squid jigger company in China and Taiwan putting the squid inside a square thin can after classify.

As a kid in the 70s I watched patterns of bait amassing, predators following, a night or two of netting, and an abrupt end to it all. Then repeat each year until it doesn't repeat.
Repeat until it doesnt repeat... and then you wonder what happened right? Netting is disgusting, it gives literally no chance to anything. All this crying about quotas etc doesnt mean anything because the seas are being cleaned out by commercial operators.

Even see weed are being depleted. Boaters pays private contractors to mow the sea floor of seaweeds because it dirty their boats when they float and rub against it.
If that is true, too bad for them. Here in my home town in the Philippines, 40-50 % will go to the owner after subtracting the fuel and food and maintenance costs. Mostly it is 50/50 between the owner and the worker. If the boat has 10 crew, the 50% will be divided into 13 parts. 2-3 parts for the captain plus the commission per case or box given by the owner. 2 parts for the man whose in charge of finding the school of fish and 1 part each for the remaining crew. If the vessel is for catching the squid, 2-3 parts for the captain, and the remaining crew will receive 1 part each. This is the rule of here in my town. I don't know in the other part of the Philippines.
Not even close to over fishing this is very clean non destructive low bicatch fishing i love when treehuggers think they know something considering a squids life cycle is less than 18months they are very hard to overfish is the quotas are followed.i did a bit of this on the east coast and absolutely loved driving the jet boat tons of fun very easy fishery if you have the skills to keep the circle

I agree... I’m from Rhode Island and have seen a huge decline in the past 10 to 15 years.. used to go with my father and catch and release multiple 20-30 lb bass and now I don’t think I’ve caught a keeper in about 3 years and it wasn’t of substantial size.. when my dad was growing up in Narragansett fishing was awesome and now it’s just depressing, no more big blue fish either.
I worked on a purse seine boat years ago and we caught 200 tonnes a day when the fishing was good. I would never do it again even though I was making 600 dollars a day. It's raping the ocean for a living. People lose sight of the big picture when dollars are involved.

What nonsense are you talking ?squid are not on decline and are more regulated then ever and biomass of the species is best it’s ever been. Ignorant people fail to grasp just how big the Pacific Ocean actually is and just how much life like squid herring anchovy etc there is out there and they see commercial catch and ignorantly think to selves there just can’t be negative impact when reality is not even a few percent of the species total is caught,yet these same ignorant tools fail to realize a single adult whale consumes more tonnage in a year then a fleet of commercial fishing vessels for example a single adult grey (one the smaller species of whale) consumes more tonnage in a year then an entire pac nor west salmon trawler fleet lol and any commercial fishery capable of causing decline in our pacific waters was abolished and banned over four decades ago and our refs are absurdly stringent and everything is best it’s ever been from bluefin Tuna to Bonita to sardines etc even those few species that were reduced many decades ago are the best they’ve EVER been
