Bruh I think the hardest part is memorizing and speaking a speech confidently without any hesitation and having genuine passion in her voice while making coffee.
@@ketokeko Agreed! You dont need to memorize when you fully understand the process, the history behind the cup. It becomes just a descrption of your own work.
Her confidence in her voice; it sounds unrealistic. Almost as an A.I. I could listened to it all day long and would be mesmerized. She’s so talented! So beautiful! Love her!
The way the judges are smiling and nodding is so wholesome. I've never heard of this competition before, but it's clear that they are all extremely passionate about the art.
Today I learn a couple of things. Morgan has made it to the World Barista Championship Finals... and that World Barista Championship is a thing. The more you know
@@leelabizbee i know coffee brewing is a serious competition thing, but THIS?? I did not know nor expected. Or maybe i just knew it's a thing because they're passing information but I didn't know how they execute the competition cuz I never watched a single competition clip. Like, I'm so floored by this.
Its amazing seeing her hands shake a little with nerves and pressure while she works but hearing her voice come out SO CONFIDENT. I aspire to such levels of professionalism.
man i really had this video pop up and said "no shot theirs a fucking world class coffee tournament" 15 minutes later Im sitting here like: "how perfectly eloquent and professional of a display of coffee tradition and literature I would clearly give this presentation several points above the rest, in fact I dont think there has been a previous presentation to beat this one" seriously skeptical at first but holy fuck what a cool fucking competition. those coffees sounded fucking heavenly. I want all of them now.
It's because they have no life and think making coffee is a competition lol have fun with no future and minimum wage unskilled jobs for the rest of your life
@@Inmysightstarget At least these judges spend their time judging coffee and enjoying it instead of miserably writing youtube comments insulting other people
@@isidroarias3864 even if that is true, the way she is speaking with calm, and charisma while being fed lines and doing actual work and having to be precise is incredible that not everyone would be able to do. It's showmanship.
The way I would have nervously spilled the drinks on the judges… Morgan you amazed me through this whole video. For a hundred reasons I could NEVER 😩 Congrats to you!! You deserve the best
You can see their nervousness when they fill the flavour agents(?) into the mixer for the signature. They're shaking, but it doesn't reach their voice at all!
I didn't realize this was even a thing that existed. I don't even like coffee but I still found this interesting. I'd sit around listening to someone talk about coffee for hours with this level of passion.
I don't even drink coffee, but i saw this video and was like "hey that's that girl who makes funny videos about being a barrista, kinda curious what that is about" and suddenly I was strapped in for a 15 minute story about coffee I didn't know I wanted to hear, told absolutely brilliantly. This was a stunning performance! And I guess the drinks were probably allright aswell ^^
I don't even drink coffee, but I saw this video and was like "there is no fucking way this is real...." and after watching it I still don't know if it was real or a skit.
I absolutely love how you can see her hands shaking from how nervous she is, but her voice is so perfectly leveled and calming regardless. She does an absolutely incredible job masking her nervousness, and providing a truly incredible experience for anyone she tends to. Masterclass in managing your nerves and doing an outstanding job even under immense pressure
And you'll be confused what they're doing 😅 she's doing it smoothly and talking but she's not telling the how to, since everyone knows. A professor is there to teach.
Her voice is so surprising to me like not what I expected her to sound like. Girl sounds like a professional talker like someone who could read books or something. Like I’m extremely jealous of her barista talent but also low key jealous of her voice lol
As a Colombian, I felt incredibly proud of how appreciative Morgan and her team are of our culture and local ingredients. Colombian coffee is truly one of the best ones in the world, and seeing professionals like her highlight not only its quality but also the entire economy that's behind it, made me feel super happy. I'm definitely gonna try to find the coffee from La Inmaculada here ❤
You can see how much she is shaking and still delivering a good show. The moment you are not nervous you are not interested in the result of your show. Being nervous shows that you care and that you want a good result. I'm impressed by the preparation and practise she must've done beforehand.
Actually, having passion and care to the topic of presentation can bring out confidence in yourself and in turn minimize the nervousnesses. Simply put, people work better when they’re doing what they love or they’re already a professional
I get it. Seeing someone so obviously passionate in a world full of people that do the bare minimum is amazing to see. Even something mundane as making coffee can be emotionally investing.
its amazing how all of the judges seem so nice and strict at the same time. and morgan is such a pro her hands were shaking but her voice is still so calming :(
I noticed that! First I thought she wasn't nervous at all but then I noticed her hand and she was still nailing it, being calm and professional! Admirable performance
@@MikeHoltackers every professional ive seen on youtube has said that they recommend to not drink any coffee before going out for the competition. idk how well that advice is followed, but at the very least she wouldve known the risks if she chose to drink some anyway
Its part of the competition, to keep the atmosphere pleasant while giving judges her take on coffee making, its a presentation with a theme in mind, but personally I like to think that as an advanced way to small talk.
Im so amazed by Morgan, by also the judges - so kindly looking, smiling to give competitor courage and make them feel comfortable under pressure. What an amazing show. And I dont even drink coffee.
It’s like there’s a automated track playing from her mouth while she prepares coffee. I’m SO IMPRESSED by the ability to multitask in this way!! Edit: I had no idea this would get so many likes! Thanks everyone!
The way she was holding together is commendable her hands were a little shivering still her voice was calm and process was clean she can say that she was shivering out of excitement ❤️
Morgan is something else. If this doesn't show you she loves what she does. Nothing will. I can't see people not loving her. Edit: She made me realise I can be a lot better at my job than I currently am. And have a lot more passion than I currently have.
My God the professionalism, she looked so confident and perfect but if you look at her hands they are shaking so bad, and the way her breathing sounded when she wasn't talking gave me goosebumps. she is the best barista ever, i hope i can meet her in the future
I noticed that too! KUDOS to her for being such a good presenter, I doubt anybody could do a marvelous narration like that while making an artisan coffee in a competition.
Brava! As a member of a Professional Speakers association in Canada and 25 years on the mic... huge props to Morgan. Also, the only times my hands ever shook in a presentation was when I was being judged. Its perfectly normal, even with years of experience. Incredible story-telling, locked the whole way through. Well done!!!
The fact that she started off from working at a coffee shop making relatable barista tiktoks and showing off her skills on it to her being at the FINALS of this competition makes me wanna cry and hug her cause of how hard she worked to enhance her skills and improve it too T^T
Yo…my wife was a barista and coffee roaster, so I’ve been to a few barista competitions and I have to say, this was SPECTACULAR presentation. Speaking for 15 minutes, staying on script, all while making 16 servings…is absolutely bonkers. This was such a well delivered presentation. Congratulations!!
@@n00buo who is talking about her wife I'm talking about Morgan bruh and u don't need to be a math teacher to know that 12 is 12 and not 16. U need common sense which I think her wife knows and yeah if she does math like u said then she would in losses over her barista shop. Maybe u should first read his entire comment and UNDERSTAND it perfectly before replying to my comment
I'm so proud of her. I had been following her on Tik Tok since she first started her coffee series. I loved her content. I remember her saying that a goal of hers is to pursue the Barista Championship- and here she is doing just that. She's come so far. The stories and history she was describing whilst creating these drinks was not only extremely informative, but also inspirational. I held on to every word. I just can't describe the pride I felt when she said, "that's time." Great job, Morgan.
Ok I’ve never seen any type of barista competition video before and just chanced on this… I never thought I’d watch the whole things but I was mesmerized. I even got goosebumps near the end. This was super impressive, bravo, bravo
a 10/10 presentation. Morgan is like your neighborhood barista who is funny and sweet and u go to every day and when one day you see her on TV/Internet you feel proud seeing how far she has grown and where she is. Congrats on reaching this far.
@@burkles4456 i feel like most people can feel proud of someone coming really far into a career, even if you dont know too much about them. Theres nothing really parasocial about their comment. I dont even know who this barista is, i just clicked the video. It was really cool and informative, and i think its cool how dedicated one can be to an everyday drink and turn that into a career and art. im proud of this person.
I can’t walk & talk at the same time. But Morgan has such grace and beautiful public speaking ability all while performing amazing barista acts. Congrats, Morgan! You are lovely!
Wow, shoutout to Morgan. I love their videos about coffee, but I never knew they were a literal professional in their field 😭 They clearly worked their ass off for this, and it definitely paid off
I loved how she infused her performance art, fine arts, and the art of coffee making with her message about overcoming the challenges faced by the coffee industry as a whole; all the while, the purpose of overcoming issues related to climate change or the depersonalization of the industry was to bring back the very wholesome quality of restoring something "familiar" for the consumer to comfort them with the tastes or cultural "celebratory" scents she used in each ingredient. Beautiful script and the choreography of her performance was elegant. So curious about the textures and flavors of the coffee flavors she described too! Congratulations, Morgan!
Look at her hands. She is terrified. Yet, she conducts herself professionally and confidently. Ross is how you conduct yourself under pressure. Good job.
Morgan, your performance at the World Barista championship was Absolutely amazing, as a Colombian I can say that we are very proud of our coffee and you've just used it in an incredible way with those tropical mixtures with lulo and pineapple, it was just Mesmerizing to watch your performance Morgan!
the judges look like they are truely enjoying the experience whilst judging. a true professional that can not only impress the judges but also give a pleasant lecture.
You know how much she love her job and fully dedicated to it. Its splendid. The elegance she have while preparing the coffee and the narration she was giving are full of information. Not everyone can multitask while speaking about facts and history of the coffee. Which make more interesting is the way she’s times her speech with her movement at the perfect time and cleanly offer the drinks with the perfect services without overlapping her sentences.
oh my god i can see how nervous morgan was. her hands you could see were twitching but her voice and confidence on stage never gave it away! great job morgan :)
@@dadeee7776 what is love without passion? Don’t shit on others for pursuing what makes them happy. You are allowed to be nihilistic but don’t force that perspective on others with out of pocket comments like these. You choose how to live your life so let others do the same without judgement!
She did an incredible job :] Most notably how she could speak and remember what she was supposed to say, how she cleaned, didn't rush, explained history, and kept cool under pressure! I could never
I've been following Morgan for 2+ years now and what she presented here was absolutely amazing! I didn't know she made it all the way to the world barista championship finals! Super big props!
how come, in the many years of coffee appreciation i have, i've never seen a performance of the World Barista Championship?!? That's AWESOME! and congratulations to Morgan. What a stellar presentation! could almost smell the beverages!
Such an amazing presentation! Her tone of voice, the speech itself, the techniques of brewing, polite and outgoing mannerisms and all perfectly rounded up with the visual of the broken coffee cups-an act that solidifies the whole experience in your memory! Everything was so relaxing and at the same time jaw dropping! Absolutely stellar!
This is confirmation that the whole “Coffeeshop vibe” is not an online invention. I’ve never seen judges who looked so genuinely interested and encouraging to the candidate, while also keeping it professional. As for Morgan, her trembling hands only emphasize how masterful she is. She never lost professionalism, charisma, and passion. It really felt like: “yes, we have to compete, but let’s not forget what we care about is our shared passion for creating a moment of bliss in just one small cup of coffee”
Somehow she's truly the Coffee Prince, I know her of instagram, but because she has short hair she just resembles that caracther a lot. The pandemic gave her the ability to excell as a barista and now she's second best barrista in the World. Absolutely inspiring, and she'll for sure will win the title once in her life-time.
im currently in hospitality studies and learning for it as a major, which includes catering and being a possible barista as morgan..i can tell you now,,being in a kitchen at that level is such a high amount of stress, the fact that she is able to serve so well AND speak without stuttering with such confidence shows that she has worked so hard for this moment in her life. but even dispite that, i can just imagine how she is freaking out inside her head from stress , props to her. seeing this makes her my new rolemodel
If you look closely while she is pouring in the test tubes, her hands are shaking a lot, but her voice is steady, and she doesn't spill a drop. She trained well for this, and it shows, but she was still nervous. She's goddamn amazing

I want other championships to be like this. NBA, “Judges, the dunk was a late addition to the game we know today as ‘basketball’. Did you know the first hoops were actual baskets? Nets were implemented later on. Follow me as I shoot this 3 pointer behind a line that was painted by the finest brush from northern Italy with paint from France.”
After watching the finals, I don’t know how Morgan didn’t win. Her presentation was amazing and on point. No downtime, info packed. Voice and speech was flowing so well.
Half of her right shot was wasted because she didn’t center it. She left already pressed coffee in the open for over 10 seconds (drying, loss of aroma) , broken glass, overall nervousness over the top I like her but I’m surprised she made it that far if that was her attitude trough the entire competition
These types of videos are always inundated with eeeendless superlatives and sycophancy, it’s nice to find someone actually interested in the reality of what’s unfolding
@@procreatetimelapse5389 When you said "broken glass", I thought you meant she dropped a glass during the competition, but the glass she broke was intentional and part of the presentation. I don't think that's fair to strike against her. It also doesn't look like "half" that shot was lost from the lack of centering, nor do I think "over the top" is an accurate characterization of the nerves.
I don't drink coffee a lot but Morgan made me recognize the art, history, and cultural power coffee has. She really makes it all palatable to those who never thought twice about the drink.
Her performance painted an image of coffee and its connection to human history. The judges who drank her brew while watching her live must have had an unique experience. Made me realise coffee can be a medium to express oneself like art.
I was a barista and I loved the process of making coffee. I had no idea it was a competition until I saw Morgan on RU-vid and TikTok. She did such an amazing job here and I'm so glad she won 2nd.
I didn’t expect to see her like this! Nor did I expect a barista championship going on. She was so cool in presenting and executing her coffee work, crazily impressed by how calm she sounded!
Morgan is the kind of person that treated my trauma of never being good enough done by my parents, just because I didn't graduate in Med School or Law.... You can be awesome in any profession if you manage to achieve excellence in it with love!!! It was brainstorming to me.
Yeah, I've been comparing myself constantly for a few days now, but honestly it doesn't matter because you should something you enjoy instead of something to impress others
I accidentally clicked on this video because I remember watching Morgan on TikTok. I wasn't planning to finish the 15 min video but I stayed, and I learned a lot about coffee. Her delivery felt like a story to an old friend. It was very natural and powerful.
