The doomsday Mormons sure are doomsdaying lately. Making this a dooms-month and the most doomsiest year in recent history.
Today I’m going to give you the latest updates on Blaze Thibaudeau. The Arizona 16 year old that was taken by his Mormon doomsday mother and uncle last Monday. He has been found safe by the Alaskan border and we’ll talk about what led up to all this unfolding as well as my normal rants including a Chuck-o-Rama analogy that I think is right on the money.

“Religion”, maybe. Having a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and following Him, no. Don’t forget, communism has killed more than any “religion” in recent history. And now, Christians around the world are being martyred for their faith in Christ, recent figures show over 2500 Christians A DAY being killed for faith in the Lord God, by, yes, religious people-Muslim and Hindu, more. Very sad. Be a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then if you die, you’ll go to Heaven. There is no other way except through Him!🙏🏼

Exactly! They are what you can label extremists. They mix whatever scriptures they choose and do everything to extreme. So many have been on the news for different cults that continuously pop up . Julie Rowe really needs to be stopped. Even when they come out of the church they go to the extreme with whatever they do. They can truly be labeled as Extremists.

Thank you. I don't know how people can learn the truth of the origins of this and not be skeptical that it's a scam. Also the amount of ab*se because of leaders controlling every aspect of grown adult lives especially women and children. Wayyyy too easy to get caught up in ab*sive controlling situations. It's the perfect grift for predators and sad that so many people fall for it.

I drive round trip from Idaho Falls to American Falls every day and in the last week there's been a HUGE increase in big makeshift RVs with trailers, big vans, old busses that are metal reinforced, Uhaul trucks and Arizona and Utah license plates. There's a bunch of people from these podunk towns here in Idaho (Rigby, St. Anthony, Ashton, Roberts) that are caravan-ing up farther north. I say good and good riddance. My parents were both AVOW members and preppers before they passed away. I'm glad they aren't here for this because they'd be going along and taking as many grandkids as possible and we'd never hear from them again. I'm watching this closely it's scary shit.

Yes, this is interesting. Although I feel sorry for Canada and the people in small towns up north that are being essentially invaded by these extremists because their population is so small that a cult moving in could completely overrun their politics and peaceful community and even their safety. Like that idiot "queen romana" that just invaded a small town in rural Canada with her cult members and immediately started making death threats to their citizens and political leaders and even children.....

As in Coeur d’Alene? Or near the Canadian border? There is nowhere there that is safe from anything anymore and I’ve lived here for many years. The Canadian border is open in places, too, terrorists could be anywhere, good luck with that…put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ! He already knows the future, the Bible tells us this. We’re just living through it. Besides, many “terrorists” are coming to faith in the Lord Jesus. Read the book Son of Hamas” or listen to Mosab Hassan Yousef and so many others. SAT 7 is reaching the Middle East for Jesus Christ by programming on satellites the Gospel. The whole of the southwest United States cannot fit up here anyways. Canada is ruled by the increasingly iron-fisted China worshipping troubled Trudeau, unless Poilievre wins somehow. Again, trust in Jesus Christ. Be a part of Christ’s Church, we have several awesome churches here. He is THE only way!✝️🕊️🙏🏼

This is an issue across the societal board right now. Extremist overly emotional irrational thinking. Definitely a problem in fundamentalist christian groups. More than just the mormon community. Thanks for the critical thinking and reminder of how necessary it is. These messages are critical right now. People especially need to hear this from people within the christian diaspora because of how ingrained they are to assume any outsider is just possessed by the devil instead of rational thought. Rational thinking shouldn't be a scary idea. EVER.

Goofy names, I'm glad Blaze is safe with his dad but concerned he might sniff too much Super Glue while repairing that big pile of broken toys… I'm worried about my mother, she's a blonde beauty queen from Sherman Oaks (one of those California Mormons). Her family is sometimes referred to as the blonde version of the Osmond Family. She's addicted to Salad Bars (but would never go to Chuck-A-Rama)! She's more into The Lion House or hosting a luncheon buffet with all her Walker Lane gal pals to show off her huge new kitchen and dining room and talk about all her grandkids then point to a picture of me and say, "I'm still hopeful that he'll settle down one of these days." She's also besties with a certain Senator's wife, they sit around and talk about horses all day. My mom has realized that my dad will never convert to Mormonism, so she occupies her time spoiling my three older sisters, their families and me. She has become a "Stepford Wife-ish" and follows the teachings of Mitt Romney (they live in the same ward). My dad is convinced that MR is baking something behind the gates in his Walker Lane mansion that could result in the things you're talking about, except it will be called, "Mitt Romney's, Holladay Doomsday'!" I'm a well adjusted gay ex-Mo. I joined the church when I was eighteen only to go on a mission (it looks sexy on a resume) to enhance my resume! My mother discovered a gay Ward in Utah County and interviews potential spouses for me. She has this delusional dream that I'm going to live in the Upper Aves with my gay spouse and raise our children so we can send them to private non-mormon schools and live happily ever after. I hate salad bars I have never been to a Chuck-A-Rama restaurant. I prefer simple home cooked meals and swapping meatloaf and casserole recipes!

It's disheartening to see how some of my extended family and old friends, who are dedicated members of the LDS Church, have become ensnared in these fringe movements. From doomsday preppers like the Daybells to high-profile figures such as Tim Ballard and Glenn Beck, it's alarming to witness how easily the Mormon mindset can gravitate toward such ideologies. What's even more concerning is that these movements often take root within local wards and stakes, and they're sometimes welcomed and even encouraged by local and general authorities. It's as if these ideas initially find fertile ground within the community. Yet, it's worth examining why these movements gain traction within the Church in the first place. One reason is how the Church itself infantilizes its membership, leaving them more susceptible to suggestion and extreme movements. All while preaching a "lite" version of the more extreme group's rhetoric. It's a troubling pattern, and it's disheartening to witness how the mainstream Church often disavows such movements only after they've already caused significant harm. Even more concerning is how the Church will swiftly react to and suppress any open criticism of its actions, creating a climate of fear among members who might question the status quo. In the BofM just after his death, he goes and destroys the Americas with all manner of destruction and three days of darkness. It seems way out of character for a man that just forgave the people who took his life and then flip a switch and kill people from halfway around the world cause of wickedness or whatever. That's really not fair. It's like trying to blame the roommate from the Idaho4 for not calling the police immediately. People don't know how they are going to respond until they are in that situation. What matters is that he did the right thing and thankfully ultimately this particular story has a happier ending than what I think most of us were anticipating.

I wonder too, if the times were off that the son in law provided? In the shock of what was happening and how it was described, my guess is that it's more of an incorrect reporting of time. I would also imagine that they reached out to the authorities as well.
@SteamPoweredSmurfette
@SteamPoweredSmurfette 8 месяцев назад
@@sweetsuzanna that's a great point. Additionally, we don't know exactly how long he spent trying to talk Abi out of leaving as well. We know he had a phone conversation with the uncle who was quoting scriptures at him, and we know that she was frantically packing. There's no report of what time Spring picked her up or what time they flew out. It's just so unfair to put unnecessary blame on the son in law like that. Especially when it's only because of his and Ben's actions and them both being outspoken in media reports that this case had so much coverage and actually led to Blaze being found safely.

I listened to the entire video and did indeed hear your buffet analogy. You need to understand that the teachings of the Mormon church have nothing to do with a buffet, it’s not a menu where you get to pick and choose and obviously this family and the other people that I mentioned in my previous comment picked off a buffet that invented on their own. The Mormon church had zero to do with the actions of these people and to slander the church membership based on these people is unfair. All of these people made horrible decisions based on their own free will, there is absolutely nothing in the teachings of the church that would have encouraged what Lori Daybill or Ruby Franke did to their children, they made those choices all on their own. The majority of the comments on this video were negative towards the Mormon church which lead to my previous comments which I still stand by, not all Mormons are crazy, it’s a tragedy that they are such bad representatives of the religion.

I’m going to do my best to keep my comments respectful although I feel like almost every single comment I have read has been completely disrespectful of the nearly 17 million members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints(Mormons). Doesn’t it seem a bit presumptuous to assume that all members are like this family, Lori Daybill, Ruby Franke or Jodi Hildebrant? Trust me these people make up a very small fraction of any crazy mindset in the church. It may also surprise you to know that people of all races, religions and creeds do things that are horrible and illegal, so why the hyper focus on the Mormon church? Members honor and obey the laws of the land, 99% of all members are hard workers and are just doing their best to care for their families. To say that the crazy 1% of Mormons represent all Mormons is very unfair. Be sure to do your fact checking and stop spinning information to meet your bias narrative of assuming that all members crazy, because trust me they are not.

Do not call them “Mormon”!! What these people believe in is in NO WAY associated with the Church. Do not fall into the trap of thinking this comes from Church teachings. If you listen to the (STBX) husband, they talked with their bishop and she was told to STOP. Would you condemn any other church organization for the actions of a few (very few) people? This is all on the shoulders of those who decided to stray away from actual gospel teachings. Please, please stop with knee-jerk reactions and take the time to learn the truth.
@SteamPoweredSmurfette

If it's not associated with the church then why has doomsday preparedness been a reoccurring theme for decades? Why do all of these situations with multiple people involved have SO MANY things in common? Eventually you're going to have to call a spade a spade. The church was designed to be a doomsday cult from the beginning. Think of why we titled ourselves as "latter day saints"- hint, it's because of the belief that we are living in the latter days. The entire thing falls apart if you aren't buying into the thought process that the 2nd coming is around the corner.

I literally talk about Mormon History for a job. As I explained with my buffet example, the makings of doomsdayers is and had always been prevalent on the doctrines and practices of Mormon leaders and followers. It’s part of the fabric of this church. Denying that is gross ignorance for the sake of a good name while atrocities continue. Look up stream and the cause is the buffet of options Mormons can choose from.
