High intensity workouts like these help boost your metabolism but it is also important to consume a healthy, balanced diet, and if you are looking to lose weight, you should do your best to be in a caloric deficit either through exercise or through slightly reducing the amount you are eating on a daily basis.

@@lucy-san4799 yes!!!! I watched Jo’s calorie deficit video which was SUPER HELPFUL she explains how to calculate your deficit and not to sacrifice your fav meals!!! So I’ve been eating in a deficit and eating healthier alternatives (instead of regular sausage I use turkey sausage, instead of sour cream Greek yogurt. But I also love my sweet snacks so I eat them and feel satisfied. Since this comments I’m down a total of 14 lbs!!!!

I am texting you with tears in my eyes because I am SO happy and encouraged by these “Back at It” workouts! I turned 68 in February, and I seemed to go downhill with a knee injury. I lost mobility and found 20 pounds. I felt old and frumpy, limited from my usual workouts, I was so depressed until I found you! Your pace, your smile and encouragement gave me my groove back! When I see you smile, I can’t help but smile too. When I see you struggle I don’t feel alone as I struggle with you, but I’m keeping up! Thank you SO much! I’m fit for life with you. 🥰

My girl is back! I totally underestimated these last two 30 min workouts but they kicked my booty! I was huffing and puffing. 🥵 Thank you for not editting out those moments when you had to take a breather. That's what makes you so relatable. After two kids - you're still in better shape than me! I’m 2 and a half months postpartum and I was still having severe pelvic pain after carrying a 10 pound baby. Been doing these workouts for 2 weeks and now I can get in and out the bed and roll over in bed without pain. Plus I lost 3 pounds! Thanks Jo! ❤❤❤

Day 12 (I think): 10 minute standing abs Day 13: Morning 5000 step lower belly burn Day 14 and 15: injury 😢 (unrelated to this) Day 16: 5 mile intense full body walking workout Day 17: Beginner fat burn workout back at it Day 18: Morning metabolism boost back at it again (last time I only did 20 minutes of the workout, this time I managed the whole thing!)

Hi Jo, 17 years old here. Honestly, i feel so refreshed after this. The premiere of this workout was two days ago but i was too lazy to actually do it. I decided to go for it this night and honestly, it was so worth it. I'll try to follow along with each workout video every time it's released. This is amazing. 😊 Please remember, I’m only 25 but if I could go back and tell myself something (I grew up really overweight /obese) always look at working out as FUN. Moving your body is fun, important, released endorphins, listen to how your body feels. Don’t do it to get to a certain number like a size 2 or 4. Do it because like you said it “refreshes” you, energizes you, etc. once you skill that, living a healthy lifestyle will continue to be so easy. Growwithjo is amazing and I’m glad you found it. 🎉❤ welcome to the community.

I am a 73-year-young woman. I play this one when I’m on the treadmill at the Y or walking at the mall. The beat is perfect and it keeps me going and I get really sweaty lol. I like this because there’s no words just that fast beat!!!

Just finished this workout! It kicked my butt! Thanks angel💕 I took a few months off bc I was getting lightheaded and dizzy but I made a promise to myself that I would start back up this month! All of her workouts are amazing! She has so many videos you can kind of do what works best for you, like id do the dailies that she suggests but then I add one that she says in challenging and do one of those..my fit bit helped a lot with telling me how much to exert myself so I try to hit that 5 days a week hope this helps good luck 🫶🏾🤍

I underestimated the impact this would have so drastically so quickly 😫 I was out of breath the first 5 mins in 😮‍💨 now I’m 10 mins in and idk how I’m going to make it through the rest 😭 I’ve had to pause it 3 times already to catch my breath 😭 Not complaining. Without u I'm lost, I swear if it wasn't u I will never workout, many times I turn on the TV even if I'm lazy and I don't want to workout and I tell myself just open one of Joe's videos but few minutes later of moving I feel better and finish the workout till the end and of course and the end of it I feel so powerful and happy. Absolutely LOVED this workout. 30 minutes just went byy🎉 i weigh 80 kgs and burned 250 kcal. I did intensify the workout at some points to increase my heart rate. Amazing workout!!!!

This is my third grow with Jo workout this week. First time doing 30 minutes; previous two were 20. I’m being intentional about being consistent. Goal is at least 150 minutes of cardio per week. Thank you for helping me reach that goal!!!

Ive been so disappointed in myself the last 6 months because I lost all motivation to workout and stay healthy. Well, I hopped on a scale today and I'm at the heaviest I've ever been. I'm so happy I found Jo a ways back, because I jumped on here to find an into video to hopefully get me back in the groove. So proud to say I finished this workout and I feel great! I lOVE THIS workout . I took a break as I was taking a weight loss semiglutude injection , it made me terribly tired , i wasted muscle so I looked skinny but was miserable and baggy , tired looking . Im off it and back to working out , having this fitness routine has far more benefits in comparison and I glow and look healthy and have energy and strength !!!

I discovered this channel recently. I love doing yoga and I struggle finding some cardio I enjoy because I don’t get that consistent with running. Good morning Jo and GWJ family! Who here is so proud of Jo for getting herself back at it, not only for herself but especially for all of us who love working out with her and getting our energy on for the day! It's amazing how she does it after having a baby. I'm 39 with 3 teenagers and I babysit my nephews who are 5 and about to be 3mo old baby. Loved this, Jo! It was definitely a challenge, but was super doable! I really appreciate the pep talk before the video. When I found myself going into negative self-talk territory, I thought about what you said at the beginning and immediately shifted my thinking. ❤️

U are full of life when i came here in ur channel i was so down .. 2 months workout with u 3 to 4 times per week with a healthy diet i went from 79.8 to 72.3 and im keeping on to the perfect weight thank you so much ❤

Got back to working out after a long time and it's always so easy to slip right back in when I follow your videos. I like that you're also so real, you show that there's no shame in following your own pace, you slow down yourself when you're tired which a lot of fitness influencers aren't willing to show. It feels relatable that it's okay to be human and get tired and sweaty during a workout. Thank you for doing what you do! 😊🤗

I've been doing your workouts for over a year now! I alternate the cardio with strength and even though I haven't lost as much weight as I'd hoped I would by now, I'm proud of myself for being more or less consistent for the first time in my life. When I fall off, I try my best and come back whenever I can. Hoping that this year will bring the progress I so desperately want to see :') thank you for everything you do Jo!

I discovered you a while ago and have always loved your videos. You really are a treasure because I’ve never been a motivated workout person, but your videos keep me coming back at it, as you say. I was going strong for months and then situations changed in my life and I’ve been in the dumps for more than 5 months. Doing this workout is the first real exercise I’ve done in all this time, I thought I wouldn’t even get past the first 10 min, but I completed it and feel incredibly proud of myself. From the bottom of my heart I thank you Jo for making these workouts so much fun, for the inspirational words and your amazing energy. I feel as if I’m working out with a supportive friend that doesn’t judge, just wants me to do my best and trusts that I can. I’m so grateful ❤

I took a little break to focus on other aspects of my life and haven’t don’t more than 10-15min workouts for over a month. Tried this one today and smashed it! I did it! I’ve been trying the advance one after years of working out thinking I can do it but I can’t lmao. I want to and my ED brain is telling me to suck it up even if it takes all night to master it but I can’t. Not for my little boy. This is for him. This is so I can give him my best self! 30 mins 30 secs. Apple Watch - high intensity interval training Active calories burnt - 177 Total calories burnt - 226 Thank you so much. I kicked my husband out the house so he can go to the gym. Little boy is fast asleep this evening and this is me time. Coming and same time tomorrow and I can’t wait!

THIS ONE WAS SO GOOD. All of your videos are great. I never thought I'd fall in love with cardio. I have a neurological disorder that affects my mobility but your work outs have changed so much for me. I feel more fit and happy in my skin and proud that my body can get through these. Simply amazing, just like you! And every one else dancing around their living room with you. So much fun!

I was close to 190 when I started now I’m 180. I’m a little bummed because I accidentally deleted my before picks but I can take some new ones now. I still have lots of work to do. I’m already seeing slight signs that my muscles are getting more defined. I’m doing a 8:16 fast and still showing getting into better food choices. Your videos help me so much. Thank you. Thank you Jo. You're one of the few people that really show weight loss and exercise for what it is: Not hyperfixation on numbers and goals, but a natural adjustment to our daily lives. Not torturing ourselves with pain and hunger until we're good enough, but helping our bodies be more active while smiling and finding a healthy diet because we deserve to feel our best.

Guys I started working out with jo in 2021 but I stopped and gained the weight back. Last year December I decided to start over but I only had the courage to begin faithfully in February of this year. My usual workouts consist of a 10 minutes warm up and 20 min cardio but today I decided to challenge myself. I used to fear exceeding 20 minutes but I pushed myself through this and I feel proud and amazing. I have never been an athletic person but these workouts make me feel like I can even run a marathon. I started this playlist last week on Sunday, did the first 2 videos one day each as I haven’t done exercise at all in so long - I’m 30 as of last year - and did well. The did my first 30 video and felt like I was going to die, but finished it. I rested 1 day fully and started again, this time I did 2 dance videos in 1 day of about 30 minutes total, and while it hurt I was proud kept going the following day and today I attempted this video and currently sweaty but recovering way faster than when I started! Thank you so much h Jo! You’re an amazing teacher and keep me motivated! I will keep on doing this and following the plan!😊
