Oh I loved the Dear America Books. I have a son not a daughter but I was still thinking about readingbthem with him since our Library has them. Great video
I completely understand- I have a high schooler who definitely doesn't have an interest in circle time anymore! I also have a 9 year old, and I've been missing circle times with her. I think I want to bring this back into our home. Thanks for the inspiration!
I want to thank you so much for sharing this. After I watched your video I went straight to Amazon to order, Vincent's Starry Night ,and we absolutely love it. It is perfect for my 3rd graders and my Kindergartner. I even love it myself. It's a must add to any morning time.
I bought your Thanksgiving unit this year. We didn’t get through all the books but I can’t wait to return to it next year! Thank You Sarah is a fantastic book!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!
Thank you for sharing! We just started homeschooling, we are on week 3 of levels 0 and 3 (so fun) I have just been jumping in and getting straight to our school work. I like the idea of having family time in the morning all together before we begin. I have been thinking about doing our yoga first thing, I think that and a morning basket will be perfect.
Thank you for sharing your basket! I want to do MT but have been having a hard time finding secular information about it and am a little overwhelmed by the idea. This was a great resource!
Thanks for sharing your MT basket. Great selection! I do MT with my littles (5 and 4) at breakfast. We do Bible and devotion, memory work (poetry/nursery rhymes in English and Portuguese), calendar and read aloud (a chapter of our current read aloud or a couple of picture books). It all takes about 10 minutes. Short and sweet!
We used to do ours over breakfast when it was the 3 oldest. Now we do it right after breakfast usually. I love that we can cover so many bases in such a short amount of time. It's great to know that if the rest of our day falls apart, at least we got to Morning Time. ;)
Love your choice of books!!!! ~We do what we call mid morning time too. We are studying the Old and New Testament Stories for Bible. We are focusing on life lessons, health and routine habits with charactor straits till November or December then adding a state book and and a American History book for the add on subjects we do all together. We work in a piano theory book on Monday mornings and do a lesson on Wednsday mornings. Science is just when we read on animal and weather facts of Gods creation. That is done few times a week btw. We memorize a few verses 2 days a week from the Bible for Awana at our church. We also have a poetry book by rod and staff that we read together and she has leveled poems she reads to me as her reading for the day. Nothing more than that for a young 2nd grade school age girl and 3 year old pre k girl. We spend an hour or so on all of this typically. Then move on th online school work and lunch.
