I just downloaded this to my PC this morning, and.....DAMN, THIS is how MK is supposed to be like. Not that NRS/Warner Bros trash they call MK1. MK2 Remix put a huge smile on my face and made my day. Thanks for uploading this video!!

I ended up editing Scorpion’s sound files in my version of Remix to get rid of his “come here bitch,” and “get the fuck over here” yells. I’m normally all for swearing in video games, but it kinda killed the vibe for me with this one. Personal preference.

It may be cool but they shouldn't run. It's not the essence of MK II. That's for MK 3. But... I won't deny it... It looks great and I loved it. Even If this was an official launch by the MK II team, I would purchase it. IT SEEMS ABSOLUTELY A PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT.

5 mins in and so many positives to say about this version (again another mk2 version ive never seen) and I laughed my ass off first time i heard scorpion say "get the f*** over here", but i have to admit, im not sold on the run button and "dial a combo" set up, makes it a bit too mk3 for my liking. Dont get me wrong I also love mk3, but these are changes i don't think mk2 needed, it loses its uniqueness 🤷‍♂️

I remember back around 1997 when I was in 4th grade I remember a kid saying he had a secret version of MK where scorpion would say "get the fk over here." I always thought he was lying but I guess he was from the future.

I tested it last night and the game is incredible ! It plays, looks and sounds like the natural evolution from MK3 but better, because it has MK and MK2 vibes which are my absolute favourite MK games.

Sad how this is better than any game NRS released after MK9..

Yea I like the old school mk way better than the new ones nowadays grew up playing it on the old super Nintendo or the Sega Genesis that's during my time and street fighter and killer instinct

19:37 This is how the Pit 2 animation was done in the early versions of MK2 before it was changed. I only seen this on one machine ever in a Burger King in New York in 1995. I thought I was having a Berenstein Bears moment with this memory as a young teenager but it is real this Mugen confirms it. In the final version of the game the player sprite doesn't zoom and the ground sprite doesn't twist.

I'm not gonna lie my jaw dropped a bit @ 2:30 seeing the old Throne Room along with some of the OG soundtrack .. 😎 I've been enjoying your videos a lot man !! A little MK2 story .. I was the 1st to play MK2 @ at my local arcade back then .. Heck we might've been the 1st in New England area besides Boston .. It was so exciting the moment we saw it being brought into the arcade .. I was @ Bowl-A-Rama in Portsmouth, NH with my mom and best friend just bowling and hanging out .. We saw that an arcade machine was being brought in with the dolly and quickly noticed that side art with Raiden and we literally lost our minds lol .. We knew what it was and we were gonna wait until it was set up ready to play no matter what .. What is kinda crazy is the machine they brought out and replaced it was an original MK1 arcade .. I chose Reptile and my friend Craig chose Raiden .. I'll just never forget that thrill .. First ones to play it !!!! Went back that weekend and there was more ppl lined up to play that than ppl in the bowling alley and I remember the guy I played against told me how to do Reptile's tongue fatality .. I have dozens of great MK1 stories too when they used to put the quarters up on the screen saying you were up next 🤑

Just my opinion, but definitely don't bother with getting these video captured like you suggested. The unique appeal of your videos is that it's like we're looking over the shoulder of some MK beast at a cabinet in the arcade. Which in fact, we are with the beast part! It's a perfect vibe. Plus the recording quality like this looks great anyway.

for me, what makes these mugen MK games so great is the ability to access to all the combos, moves and fatalities etc by hitting start while playing. Theres also the training mode to play around with. I actually gave up playing MK1 and bought a 4:3 dell monitor (proper aspect ratio) just to play these, as the old school gameplay is WAY more fun than the newer versions, but thats just me lol

i remember long ago i was in Disney as a child for a family trip in the 90s when I got MK2 for pc. My dad let me get it and I was so happy! I remember Scorpion had 3 fatalities you could do. The slice, the standard scorch, and a special Toasty scorch that required some extra step to do.

Definitely a very cool idea but I'm not sure I like an MK II game playing more like MK3 with the run button And as you noted, what's up with the backgrounds repeating so much? It also took like 7-8 fights before you even played in an MK II background instead of the original MK

Hi good videos I'm trying make myself on mugen but every time I make a pallet my characters have white around the outside of them been trying lots of deleting backgrounds removers on Google but keep having white around characters do you no how to fix this problem
