Hi Alan, thanks for putting this up. I directed this film and it's nice to be reminded! I saw Elvis and Georgie at the Albert Hall a couple of weeks ago and they covered Everybody Cryin' Mercy together as a duo, just voice and piano. It was beautiful and touching - and the best version of the song either of them, or anyone else, has done besides Mose's peerless original.
You don't just get a song you get a story not just through the lyrics but through the music as well. Both Mose and Georgie take you on a journey as you listen along. Both are very, very good at that.
first time I heard this song....it was done by the WHO. mose laughed when I told him. RIP. love you, mose Allison. thank you for your bossy encouragement.
Saw Mose in The Bullss Head.Standing alone at the bar with a pint glass of water on the rocks ! I probably said something silly 7 said yeh! a lot of people have heard of me, but i've got no money.Saw Mr. fame at the Flamingo & he said yeh!
