I'm an old gyrocopter pilot. I know the cool feeling you get on take. I've seen a few videos on youtube where the beginner pilot (flying a helicopter) crashed because a corner on the landing gear touch the ground during forward takeoff. It's so easy to tip these light weight aircraft over and crash. I highly recommend getting away from the ground during a taxi. Climb at least 10 feet, then taxy to give your aircraft recovery room for pilot error. See Robert Simmons flying his gyrocopter. This is me. By the way. You sure have a beautiful aircraft and property to practice on. That set up has aways been a dream of mine.

The man can fly. Proximity flight is the hardest to master. Took me a while to distinguish distance and one head back half second changes the whole dynamic.

@Brittney Wisdom so like a glorified drone? It's cool for sure,as a personal form of transport.But I think they are coming out with human carrying drones soon.....and those are probably better......gyro computer controlled drone taxi with 8 propellors is definitely much more stable than this tiny lightweight helicopter.

I wonder how this thing compares to the R-22; the R-22 initially had problems teetering and cutting it's on tail off in flight. In EMS I responding to two of these incidences in the same week. Hope these are safer.
One very simple and easily correctable thing that should be done immediately to make this beautiful helicopter safer, is to widen and heighten the skids so the danger of decapitating people is minimized.

Thanks for sharing, great video. Engineers could have made it less noisy by thinking "I dont think is difficult" .... the engineers and pilot already made it fly so smoothly and that was really difficult.... lifting it and sailing it on air is super difficult and possible ......yet some might say "you can't make a helicopter any quieter" where immediately improving the already improved is the universal condition ..... "the can't be done group of people" is always way bigger than the "hmm, sure, let's try it, adjusting, adding or replacing this or that" group ... new cheaper and better companies are constantly being made from employees of the smaller group.
It is a turbine engine , you cant make those quiet, however they do offer a piston engine with a stealth exhaust that makes it very quiet, how ever it does have much power , the turbine engine is a far superior engine with lots of horsepower and is safer to operate
Yes...because the pump was not running yet. The alarm system was activated, but no fuel pressure. He actually just checked the integrity of the low fuel pressure alarm by doing that! Have to turn it back on of course. Most times those devices reset when fuel pressure is high indicated.
