Back in the 50s and 60s there would have been old ladies out scrubbing the steps of those houses just what a British community was then before they let in the dregs just like they are still doing today.
Agreed .. Hulme was very exciting cultural zone even at it's most violent times which have long since passed.. White or black it didn't matter. Shared a pint or two with Nico quite a few people you might have heard of were attracted to the area because of its exciting culture.. Steve Coogan often knocking about aswell. Thankfully not everybody is an assumptive racist cunt..
I worked hard all my life, married an older lady, who never wanted kids, worked hard, bought a property in the middle of nowhere, - mainly to stop scum getting anywhere near us.
Some cultures just have zero respect for the environment. Tunisia is a perfect example. Beautiful white beaches but outside the resorts, they're used as a waste tip. Such a shame as it has sl much potential but sadly certain cultures don't show any respect for their own land.
Yes all these city's were welcoming them with open arms trying to make out they had the moral high ground and now what your seeing is most of the original habitants are trying to move away as soon as they can , unfortunately common sense doesn't exist anymore
@@pewterbot9 why because my second name is white? You sound like a well travelled cultured man I must say pewterbot9 😂😂😂 I'm just about to go for an Indian! Should I eat him whole?
Don't make it a race issue. With the exception of yardies from Jamaica in the 80s/90s (who were dangerous for no reason to do with their ethnicity - it's because back home they were basically street soldiers. Literally.) I frequented Moss Side and Hulme regularly in the 80s when murders like this were a daily occurrece. Had to watch your back (it's a deprived area) but remember thumbing a lift at this murder scene at 3AM and didn't feel unsafe. That's because murders were 95% GANG WARFARE. Nothing to do with race or 'different cultures'. The pubs were completely mixed - I went to the notorious Spinners Arms and Eagle...the atmosphere was great... spent a lot of time with the rastas.. _so long as the gang members stayed away_. Don't make it a race issue.. I'm telling you as someone who experienced it first hand...
@@StormOneUK Are you really that fcking stupid????? I admire your attempt at making me out to be a racist but I didn't mention race once, I Mentioned culture you dumb F... and no your wrong, cultures don't mix well.... this is why cities have prodominant cultures in certain areas!
When African and carribean ethnics make up a tiny part of the population but a ridiculous amount of crime in several countries chances are its a race issue
My wife and I bought a house in Claremont Road in the 80s. It was a great house with high ceilings and big rooms. Unfortunately, after settling in, we were burgled three times in five weeks. People would knock on the door and, when we answered, would say "Sorry, mate. Wrong house". They were obviously checking to see if we were in. The woman next door left and the house was set on fire. The fire service dragged loads of half-burnt furniture into the yard. I gave up work to stay home and protect our house. I put the house up for sale and cleared all the crap from next door's yard, to make it look decent. Thankfully, it sold, eventually, to a large West Indian family, who were as delighted with it as I originally was. I hope they didn't suffer as much as we did. Moss Side was a shithole then and it seems to be a shithole now.
i bet you didn't tell them you had been burgled 3 times in 5 weeks they clearly wouldn't have bought it so don't try and act like your sympathetic big lols
This behaviour pervades simply because society in general has now zero patience with thinking rationally, acting rationally, staying calm or even controlling their own violent urges, we've forgotten the vital art of self control, we behave like spoilt kids throwing tantrums because someone disagrees with us, just doesn't like us, or even just looks at us the wrong way. It's become a 'Lord of the flies' society, just childishly brutal. Nice vid Charlie.
and for some reason this morons glorify that zero impulse control behaviour and genuinely believe their hormonal whims are doing some kind of justice above and beyond what a measured, rational legal system provides. Parents and peers have fed and encouraged the fragility of young people's unbalanced, psychopathic behaviour by enforcing ideas that to be anything but a criminal is weakness.
when the police have gone they should get the so-called local community to pick up their own filth there is no excuse for dropping litter on the floor, unless you are animal of course
@@D33J3nk1 Only hate filled racists will agree with the point. I live in Salford...this same thing happens with white kids too. You'll all ignore that just so you can carry on with your hate filled racism.
@@888ssss you're all talking past each other. The gist of it is: humans have an inherent in-group bias. The more heterogenous a population the more chaotic it will be. Diversity has been shown to reduce social trust, civic engagement, and charity effort, etc. That is a not insignificant aspect of the community and it has obvious evolutionary advantages. The group who clubs the other to death are the ones who reproduce. The ones who sit back and welcome the clubbing type die out. And we aren't all that different to how we were thousands of years ago, mentally. Until you get an entirely high minded and wealthy society, these things are gonna cause tensions.
Isn't it funny how in a 'diverse' society, that all groups tend to cluster together on an ethnic basis? Because you would think they would all be scattered around, mixed up, you know, diverse...
Because of endemic racism ethnic minorities are typically poorer.. This area absolutely is diverse if you don't understand this you obviously haven't been there.. He films one street and you base your conclusion on that?? Turn the corner you'll find white, asian, indian, jewish..

@@pauldirac808 So you're an immigrant saying how bad it became because of other immigrants?? Remember what they used to say about the Irish in Moss Side?? Don't be a hypocrite..
My friend used to live in moss side. A random man ran into his house with a crossbow with blood all over it and said 'your hiding it or your dead' then ran out his house. Crazy place trying to survive. Bless the community people.
They should not be allowed street parties to happen anywhere, it always ends up in chaos. Look at the mess, it's ridiculous, I bet all the people who live in that street did not want it and don't see why they should have to put up with it just because of a few who do want it!
@Disco Stu Every time I've been to The Notting Hill carnival, I have seen victims of some sort of crime, whether it theft or assault, violence or destruction of property. Overly large gatherings that include music, drink, will also encourage trouble makers and opportunists, which is unfortunate for the those that just want a good time, but in any case, it's not fair on the people that live in these areas.
Moss was no go for a while. It was either there or Hulme when two dibble had a fridge dropped from height in their car. After that the Police withdrew.
Holy shit Charlie 😳I've never ever seen rubbish like that in my life other than at a land fill site🤮🤮🤮🤮absolutely disgusting place to be. No wonder there's tension in the hood and murders🤔🇬🇧🇬🇧cheers for the footage Charlie 👍🥃
It was the Manchester Caribbean Carnival attendened by 1000's of people, rubbish like that happens after every single event, no matter who the demographic in attendance are..
@@mana3735 really, you keep telling yourself that. Lets see what effects allowing over a 100k from the third world in just the last couple of years alone will have, do we know these peoples background or who they are or do they dispose of their id's, hmmm. Go see how it has impacted Sweden.
I just don't understand how someone can throw rubbish onto the ground and think that it's ok.. I was taught from a very young age not to this. People clearly have no pride anymore. As for the shooting, clearly a coward committed such an offence as men use their fists not guns.

I was wearing a gopro at the time & handed it over to prove no such thing happened & then they went on there way nothing about the people make a false complaint.
@@ohdearplays2579 it is exactly the same here in the US. Cops never go and arrest the people who made A FALSE STATEMENT TO THE POLICE. But they are always ready to slap the cuffs on the suspect.
I travelled to Manchester in 1967 to view an approved students’ digs in Withington ran by a Glaswegian lady (£5 a week bed, breakfast, and evening meal, ten bob refund if you went home for the weekend). I decided to walk there from the city centre and a memory that stands out was calling at a chippy on Alexandra Road and being astonished to see baked beans on sale (what a sheltered life I’d led; I was used to fish and chip shops that sold just those two items). I enjoyed my eight year stay in Manchester but in all that time found only one chip shop that was worth returning to.
battered mars bars! i am down south and remember trying this years ago, it was weird to find a chip shop doing that here, i think it's a thing here now, i was also surprised how nice it was!
I would dearly love to say what I think of what Charlie found here, but then I would probably be arrested and locked up for saying what everyone knows, but is afraid to say in this once great country....good reporting Charlie
Agreed, we are expected to sit back and watch our country being flushed down the crapper, it's become illegal for natives to complain because "diverse" = superiority over us
I am only 66 not 70, but I still consider you a young man Charlie. Early forties is still young. I am still as active as ever, I still run marathons and I go for a run almost every day. I don't even feel old yet, although I know from friends in their 70's that that's usually the period where you start to feel your age. So enjoy your youth while you still have it Charlie. What's happening with the levels of crime in our country is ridiculous. In the 1960's,1970's and 1980's crime rates weren't nearly as high as they are today. It's up to your generation Charlie to put the world to rights. God bless.
It's true, when Blaire came in he changed the criteria as to what constitutes as a crime. The real statistics are far higher than what we are led to believe, and disproportionately so..

The dream you mentioned has been corrupted by our feral youth (you know the ones that we were suddenly not allowed to discipline as children) who believe that the fantasy world of Hollywood is actually real. Very sad for the victim's family and all the pain caused. Rest in peace! X That aside, think of how much money is being spent investigating just one shooting. All those wages for coppers stood around making sure nobody drives down the wrong street. The tuck-shop worker, the bin man, the forensic detectives collecting evidence. Then there'll be finger print analysists sat in an office somewhere. Someone else running DNA tests, mass spectroscopy etc. Judges, defense lawyers and half a room full of other court workers etc. etc. This can't continue. Not only is it ruining people's lives losing young family members, but it is costing an arm and a leg in terms of investigation, prosecution and imprisonment. What's the solution?
No doubt that this area is a shit hole, so not defending it, but you should’ve investigated and made it clear to your viewers that this is post-Carnival. Even leafy Notting Hill looks like a wasteland on Bank Holiday weekend. It seemed like you were suggesting that this was the norm.
I live the other side of the pennies to Manchester and Mosside has always had infamy of being a shithole for decades now. It MUST be the communities , what are the unemployment rates there? What are GCSE grades from the children there? What are the aspirations of the young there? If parenting doesn’t happen then it’s going to be a never ending circle of mess. If parenting does happen there then why is it such a mess and crime ridden?
By "communities" do you mean blacks? Because I've spent time in parts of Salford ( eg ordsall....I might have spelt it wrong) as well as parts of Kirby and other parts of Liverpool all very white, especially Salford, but all shitholes...wythenshaw too
One curious thing I see here is that there are no crowds observing the scene. That is strange everybody has deserted. Very interested to see the famous Mosside. Belfast seems more like Manchester than Dublin ☘🇮🇪🇬🇧
When you have an area of town that looks to be worst than a garbage disposal depot area, it just shows you the type of people who live there. Too ignorant to throw their trash in bins etc, no wonder there was a murder there, just taking out the trash all together. No sympathy or empathy for people who cannot keep their sectors clean and livable. And will they also claim no one saw anything as well?? probably and they deserve to live in that dump.
There is more to it than this. People in these areas dont complain about things to their local authority so if the public bins dont get emptied nobody complains. The police here vs rich areas are very different too
You understand there was thousands of people on the street from all areas of manchester moss side isnt normally this dirty this is the aftermath of massive street partys imagine the mess a concert makes imagine what that looks like
Oh wow, you have just lumped everyone who lives in this community together as one bad bunch. What about the black woman living at the end of the street who come daily out 7 am without fail to pick up the litter around the neighbourhood, or the young girl who cleans the alley ways. How about the community meetings from locals to do something about the anti-social behaviour affecting them all. What about those who come out in groups to pick up litter in and around their neighbours.
that's where all those flamboyant diners come from that go to maccy dees for witching hour.... - what a tidy civilized bunch... - I miss the old Moss Side and evenings at the ROBIN HOOD INN!!! ...here's a shout out to all my fellow OLDIES ...especially all the OLD Jamaicans who I sat and smoked with ...went back there ONCE in the late 90's and simply got jacked for sixty quid by a specimen called DEVON WARD.... - he still owes me that money... - thanks to internet I WILL find him and he WILL PAY ME!!! ...
Sometimes when migrants are allowed in to a country, and allowed to create their own communities, they treat that country with respect. And sometimes, they don’t…
My one and only time in Mossside , I nearly got mugged in that corner shop on Princess St. Luckily for the would-be mugger, I only had a plastic bag to defend myself! 🤬🤣
He probably has tried, but I bet he didn't do it again. I imagine he could be a bit of a bull in a china cabinet. If the Veitch closed the refrigerator door with his hips, all the stuff on the door shelves would come crashing out of their places and fall
Multiculturism has never worked anywhere in the world in the past, is not working now and will never work in the future. This is the result of large scale immigration whether illegal or otherwise. Further, when these groups congregate in their communities, formed by the previous occupants of the area being forced away, they create gangs and then there is gang culture and turf wars. Then there is the drug problems. What a country we have allowed this once great country to become. Shame on our Governments, now and previous, shame on our local politicians and shame on our police and courts for not dealing with this years ago. Sad to hear though that someone has lost their life.
