I just bought mine at Turner’s today but have to wait 10 days to have it. Mine was 290 and that’s a great deal for right now. Mine actually came with the folding stock.
That is the magazine tube, not a "full choke" A choke modifies the pattern your gun shoots and fits the end of the barrel. Good informative video otherwise.

I've had mine since I was 18 it was my first firearm I've put several thousands of shells though it and never had a single hiccup been looking at getting this stock to change things up on mine
First off, if you use this thing dove hunting, you better find a looooong plug. Secondly, 1:50 thats the tubular magazine, aka the tube. A choke screws into your barrel to create tighter patters of shot, ie it chokes the open bore blast down for a smaller spread. Usually for Turkey hunting. But I know what you meant.
I wish I could afford one of those folding stocks I finally built my dream shotgun Maverick 88 20 gauge and unfortunately my house burned down so I had to turn around and rebuild it twice now all I have left is to buy stock and here lately I've been lucky to have 10 $15 after pain where I have to stay and I promise to build the gun back for my 13 year old daughter I really hope and pray to God I can look up and some miracle happen where I can get my hands on a nice folding stock I've got the pistol grip but the knoxx Blackhawk folding stock does not fit the M 500 pistol grip from eBay like they said it would so now I'm just stuck I guess but I want to let you know I really into you that is a very beautiful work of art there I'd give anything for mine to look just like it if I had a stock like that it would look exactly identical
Just bought an 88 that came brand new with this stock... I had a coupon and got it for 200+ tax. I haven't taken it out yet but I agree it doesn't look comfy to shoot however I have a regular stock from a past mossy so plans are to try the folder out if it hurts too much for target practice I'll put the regular one on for range time and keep the folder for at home. If the shtf recoil is not going to be a concern
Dang man I just took my 88 to the range for the first time and it killed my wrist after about 20 shells I was done. Where can I get that folding stock?
Just my personal opinion, (and many others) but pistol grip stocks on Mossbergs are just flat out dangerous because they block your thumb from reaching the safety. The Magpul SGA stock is a great compromise. Reserve the pistol grips for guns with side safeties.
You're looking at about 30" give or take. I run mine with the ATI Side folding stock with a 20" barrel (same as this one) and over all, you're getting about 30" folded.
Dude is chambered for 12ga shells which are as thick as 20 22lr rounds rubber banded together. What in holy hell ever gave you any kind of idea that you can fire 22lr out of a shotgun???????
No. The shells need to be manually pushed up and forward into the mag tube through the bottom of the frame. It would take some real engineering. Better off buying one of those cheap $150 semi auto 12ga shotguns that take a mag
Actually, there is a modification you can make to these guns where it can be magazine fed. Disclaimer: I don't know the full details....the modification kit includes a different custom magazine tube that replaces the factory one and a device that holds a detachable magazine into place. *Yadda yadda yadda* the new tube allows for rounds to be picked up from the detachable magazine and bring it into battery. RU-vid Mossberg 500 magazine fed and detailed videos should come up.
