The most important thing in the work with honey, and for consumers, is not to heat it above 40 degrees. Above this degree number, active substances such as various enzymes begin to be destroyed.....
hi, your recipe is something I frequently make a home during winters. I make use of jaggery and a small pinch of baking soda once the jaggery has melted and reached one string consistency. I check this by putting a drop of melted jaggery in a bowl of cold water and then throwing the drop on the table surface. Once I hear a hard sound I add the rest of my ingredients and line it on parchment paper. I have never used honey , but would like to know why is honey used /
Simple and tasty. Thanks for sharing but whay else can be used instead of honey coz sometimes its not available in pure form so recomend something else
I saw a recipe that works but is not as hard/crunchy. Use the sesame seeds un toasted, and with the brown sugar (50grams,)use one egg white. Then bake 15 minutes at 180*/350*f
This recipe is how I found you tonight. I bought some Amki brand sesame thins made in Poland at my grocery store today (also Halvah & ginger chews) They're all so delicious I thought they must be very easy to make. So now I've spent an hour watching your videos and I'm going to subscribe! Thank you very much, it's nice to have found you. I love your recipes. BTW I live in Colorado. *edited to fix spellcheck errors
Maybe you could add less sesame seeds, and add like some kind of nuts, or other seeds sunflower seed, or pumpkin seeds, and mix with the same ingredients? Just wondering, let me know please thanks.
I tried this with sunflower, pumpkin seeds, broken cashew, almond slices and black and white sesame seeds. Yummy. I also added 1 tsp of liquid glucose to the brown sugar and honey and the texture turned out less brittle, much kinder on my teeth.
