@@enclavesoldierjohnson2352 you seem like a trustworthy individual, im sure your faction has my best interest at heart as a slighty irradiated wastelander who has literally zero relation to the old world USA!
@@Elitesolider1023 funny thing is the Last of Us came out 2 years after New Vegas. Its possible the writers might have taken inspiration from Vault 22.
@@M0rshu64 only difference is the vault plant virus is artificial last of Us is natural even though I assumed it could have been artificial but probably better that it wasn't but rather nature just taking its course no good or bad just does everything was so well and good with that universe until the second one so insulting.
actually I think mt just helped 22 experiment because from one of the terminals I read they wanted to experiment the plants biology with humans and I don't think it was intentional the vault ventilation shaft was infested with spores that began infecting people and then all hell broke loose and and find out the rest of the story in Zion where survivors hooked up at and good God that group was bad and some of the pricks were infected serves them right if you ask me.
I actually hate Vault 34, the only reason I ever went in there was for the pulse gun and every single second I was terrified that a ghoul would sprint round the corner to whack me.
its probably one of the most tedious locations to clear in the series due to just how easy it is to get lost in it. you have to backtrack 24/7 and drain parts of the vault to access the armory. thats my biggest gripe with it
I think Mathews Animal Husbandry Farm should be on here. It's not necessary as scary location. But reading through the notes and figuring out the disturbing backstory it's enough to send chills down anyone's spine
To me, the #1 most disturbing place is a tie between Goodsprings cemetery and the Lucky 38 casino floor. Both are legit haunted, and you can hear ghostly whispers and phantom noises at both. In the casino, you can even hear roulette balls being dropped, cards being shuffled, and see reels on slot machines spin on their own. I've even seen doors open on their own there. Combined with the offputting, ambient music that plays when your radio's off and the supernatural touches to some places in the Mojave really starts to get under one's skin.
Tbh I think that’s more a design overlook than a haunting😂 because it’s a casino, it’s got the same ambient noise as the other casinos in game. Problem is, unlike the others, it’s completely devoid of people, so the sound is completely out of place.
Ran up to the legendary death claw loaded to the gills on psycho and jet, and proceeded to punch his head off in one punch with a ballistic fist. 10/10 would do again
Vault 22 is the scariest for me because I can just walk around and get attacked by some damn plants, plus I learned that even if you help the ghoul stuck in the vault, there are already spores out there.
Vault 11 disturbed me when first stumbling upon it as a kid. The final hallway of the vault where you realize, it's so sinister and I was surprised by the ambush. Great dungeon 👍
Kate is my favorite character in all of New Vegas. They tormented her, screwed her over, lied to her and killed her husband. So she killed them right back, and the ones she didn't personally killed, she arranged for them to be killed at a later date by the vault itself. They fucked with her, and she did not take it lying down.
Hey wait a minute have I seen you at that dagothwave with that same name comment profile picture of adagio dazzle I couldn’t believe your a ordinary fan of new Vegas like me so this is awkward
The first time I found the ant mound scared me good. I went inside and started to descend when the ant queen glitched through a wall right in front of me. I didn't go back for several playthroughs.
New Vegas has a sewer? i gotta check it out. i only heard the sewer from that guy in freeside that increases your reputation around freeside if you give him caps. never actually thought i could go into the sewers
There is a location in Fallout 3 like the Ant Mound on the right side of the map. It's a building infested with ants. I don't have a fear of ants. I have one of bees, hornets and wasps from childhood; so when I stumbled upon the Ant Queen in that building, it absolutely petrified me. I could not get through that area. I had to let my brother take over. There is something deeply harrowing and ghastly to look at something that is way, way larger than what it should be.
@@swank8392 Thank you. Looks to be a good bit of skill books in there, but you won't find me visiting anytime soon. That Ant Queen turned me paler than a ghost.
Odd... I dont have fear of insects. But fear of nests. I cant find help online :( Example wasps. I find them cute and I would not have problem with getting covered in swarm in controlled enviroment with experts But even sight of a grey ball makes me wanna cry. There was once a ball stuck on roof of a house. I got small panic attack when I saw it. When people somewhat laughed how its only a ball, I all sudden just lost my fear towards it. Similar thing with ants. I love watching ants marching and working, but on moment I notice the ant hill, I turn away.
@@jarskil8862 You could try exposure therapy, but it takes a lot of courage to go out of your way to confront your fear. Maybe start out with pictures of nests. Once you get used to it, confront the real thing. You don't have to be up close to it. Maybe just rationalize it from afar. And then, hopefully, you should be fine. Do take advice from the internet with a grain of salt though. It's one thing to talk and another to walk. I don't think I'd have the brass balls needed to do it with my fears. But perhaps you're braver than me.
Bro, the honey beast from fallout 76 76 is a shitty game and probably always will be, but the honey beast is just the most disgusting terrifying enemy I think I have seen in all of fallout
Not a huge location but theres a basement in hopeville as part of the lonesome road DLC where it appears the marked men have been killing and slaughtering people (possibly even eachother) for food given the way the room layout is setup.
Higgs Village. Exploring the abandoned houses of the once human Think Tank fills you with a sense of desolation and impending threat of the occasional ambient noises.
I hate the giant ants, they creep me out so bad so when I walked into a cave with a queen ant you just know the speed I went to reach for Esther was top speed
Not totally related to fear or disturbance, I wish either vanilla or vanilla wild wasteland had some end game boss that was excruciatingly difficult, realism be damned. There is gojira via console commands, but I’m talking an enemy with 1,000,000 health and 1,000 damage per hit. You could stack dr chems and survive a hit, then spam healing items to tank another hit. So beating it would take the best build and relentless dps, or an hour of patient save scumming. The gamebryo engine is not as conducive to souls like dodging but stuff like turbo, travel light, and atomic could supplement. Borderlands players know what I’m talking about.
There is the Legendary Bloatfly in the OWB DLC that is incredibly difficult to beat even at max level, I'm ps you find it in the Mysterious Cave but I've personally never been able to take it down.
An enemy like this is just boring, you hit and hit and it never dies. A good tough enemy is when you need to use strategy, and different strategies depending on your build.
@@NittaSayuriii come to think of it, maybe 25,000 or 50,000 health would be better. By max level you can put out a lot of dps, slow time, and stunlock enemies. The Gatling laser, old glory, or avenger are some weapons that would make short work. This is artificial numbers difficulty though like you said, in which you and the enemy get more health and damage. It’s better when you have to use terrain or movement to win.
Have you ever heard of Hard Pete challenge? If not, that might be something you could like. On more serious note, I think someguy2000 mod series also has a lot of challenging, tough boss-like enemies so it's an option to look into as well. If we talk vanilla, the strange bloatfly from OWB is probably the closest thing you will get to the definition of an ultimate boss as people have mentioned before. If not, then go ahead and clear out deathclaw sanctuary too for the count. On the bitter end, downloading and opening GECK to make a boss like that is an option. If you want a tough punching bug, I don't think it would take too much learning to do something like that but I think programming an advanced AI making player think would demand more than few youtube tutorials. TL;DR: You have the means to fight Crawmerax the Invincible in FNV, just gotta look for them :p
Look in fallout i don’t mind killing ants they just creep me out a little but I swear I saw a Ant Queen for the first time in fallout 3 and I only got about 4 - 5 hours of sleep that night. That thing was so disgusting and big it made me wanna throw up and cry. I’m a man believe me but you could never pay me to fight those things. Edit: Looking back on this I was exaggerating a bit, but I'm not gonna lie, that ant queen still gave me these disgusted fear reactions where I am scared of it, and seeing a giant insect all up close makes me wanna puke. I think the stuff I said about struggling to sleep and crying though was probably just to get attention. If I did get a short amount of sleep that night, i was 8 years old then so cut me some slack if I did
"the strongest enemy in the game is here, called the overseer" good thing ghoul didnt leave its office desk once while i started unloading non-stop lasers into it.
I had a helluva time in vault 34 with Veronica and ED-E, bashing feral ghoul's heads in with a super sledge and Veronica's power fist never felt so good.
Ive heard that the sierra madre got ruined bcs the walls were low quality falling apart ocasionaly the holograms bcs sinclair had to go to big MT to get the holograms but that he had to also take the "cloud" aka the gas around the villa that Dean domino wanted to betray sinclair and rob his vault he made the vault into a trap but when he heard that vera keys was about to enter his trap he tried to imediatly disarm the trap you can see his body in a pipe with a bunch of repair tools the cloud leaked in his face bcs the pipes were low quality and he died then the bombs fell the casino security sistems trigerred and trapped the guests in their rooms idk if some were outside their rooms at that time or managed to escape but anyways the "Golden city shining in the mojave" succumbed to the horrors of this world many wastelanders tried to take is riches and ofc they died there until elijah somehow found it and survived it and waited until the courier came to take the challenge
Ok like 40% of nv can be in this list Dead money,Lonesome road,Old world blues and those are just dlc's not to mention like 90%of vaults (execpt powder ganger vault) and many more locations in nv are disturbing Camp searchlight all caves and holes and again many other places
You know in wolfenstein old blood the nazis release a green gas from the ground that zombiefies dead people. I always thought by blaskowitz was the doom guy but hearing more about the green gas I wonder if they are all in the same universe. Like is blaskowitz part of the great war? Probably not cuz it Germany and maybe its lazy writing but there are some coincidences
@@enclavesoldierjohnson2352 I realized that I never used the explosive .50 cal rounds or the grenade machine gun despite lugging them with me everywhere, so I burned through that ammo ragdolling Deathclaws
Dead Wind Caverns are (IMO) the most dangerous place in the Mojave Wasteland, maybe 10-15 deathclaws inside + Mother Deathclaw + Legendary Deathclaw (1000 HP) and when you think you can relax a little bit, there's 5 more deathclaws waiting for you outside the caverns
