It’s wild people pay that price when they are going to be mapped or dead boxes. I guess unless it’s someone ridiculously trusted but technically it could still be a dead box regardless of trust couldn’t it 😔 (more likely to be dead with something like bunny girl first print because of the 10-20k mai that could be sat in it)

@@PokeMike Similar to collecting vintage WOTC/Konami era, because runs were short printed, there's a sealed product premium because it's an iconic set. Post the updated stamp reprints it's now a true "first edition" too. Having bought a few higher end Weiss boxes from private sellers (fujimi, Rascal, Fate, SAO, ReZero, Persona, etc.) I've found a majority of sellers were super transparent and often times I pulled an SP (Last Shot Sinon, that FBR from my Bunko opening) even though the odds were stacked against me. I don't know if you were around when it happened, but a guy a year and a half ago pulled the Mai SP from loose trial deck of Rascal he bought for like $200. Many times sellers who still have product simply don't know or care what they have because their focus isn't Weiss.

Mai was more due to a printing error that resulted in people shipping cards back for nodoka. Bunko babes is overall more in demand largely thanks to high school dxd. Since there is no other dxd set and the series is very popular in the west. Rias regularly wins waifu polls
