@@arg_9584 I'm not even a Dragon Ball fan, barely an anime fan lol, but I'd love to see an episode where Tyler The Great Warrior is introduced in a way that he feels like Alucard or Saitama - just crazy powerful, that'd be so cool.
@@cephon6198 it's essentially a life insurance policy that was paid. Secondly you don't know what he will do with the funds. He didn't know how much he was going to get. He very well could already be a donor to make a wish.
@@doomslayer4547 I can prove seers exist! You die in exactly 856 days 14 hours and 28 seconds from when this comment was posted, I’ll come back in a few years to flex
what a down to earth honest human being, and i am overjoyed to hear he not only beat his illness but is using what it gave him to start a life. I really hope his business, family, and exploration of life treats him right and more then well. thanks for tellin this story moisty.
Charlie you're the only youtube large number person who I watch on the regular because your content is so relaxed and low production (by which I mean it's just you talking, with some visual aids or some clips) and it really just makes you the perfect MPR equivalent for youtube. Stay moist.
I was expecting half a mil but I think it got held back by being just a simply ebay listing and not a high end auction. Also the fact bidding was regional restricted is super weird.
@@SuperJoeHaslitt01 Or maybe just the ease of use, I can put anything in there for bidding in 10 minutes or less without hassle, But seeing as the card even has a middle man bidder for international buyers, Yeah maybe he was paid.
Theres a number or reasons why it didnt reach half a mil or more, i think the biggest ones are the name and the art. Its just very personal like an autograph to specific person. And the art is lackluster.
I'm happy for Tyler, I remember hearing about this story in like middle school, very heart warming, and great it wasn't undervalued. Probably the second expensive card i heard sell for pretty high in Yugioh. 1st one was Dark End Dragon for like $2,000 only given to tournament winners.
Damn what a legend, Got a awesome unique card printed for him because of a horrible illness. Kicked the illnesses ass, then sat on his card for a while so he could sell it and get a good life base. Probably couldn’t have planned that better even with the knowledge of hindsight. What a badass.
The Holy Grail in series like Yugioh and Magic is subjective. For me, it's the Lu Bu Magic the Gathering cards. I would love to get my hands on any one of those.
Not entirely sure but your comment sounds to me like you think this is a fan run channel or something, I could be misreading it but just incase you should know this is Charlie's official clips channel he runs himself
Its a true miracle story and now he has the funds to make his dream a reality In 1 or even 10 yrs itll be a true masterpiece to own i do hope the winner keeps the card and cherishes it as much as tyler did
1:30 my man, all the "golden warthogs" and "sword cancel to this huge ass tower to get a 144p pixel of a jpeg showing "the new Halo". There was such a hype around this time. RIGHT before the "data" age, so much speculation, trial, error, and hilarious unforgettable moments with friends.
I know you said you buy singles now but would be fun to have you open another one of the new sets coming out like Cyberstorm Access or Legendary Beasts.
i remember hearing about tyler the great warrior and always thought it was a cool card. but theres a card like this kind of in the magic the gathering scene its called "1996 world champion" and it was only given to you guessed it the 1996 world champion Tom Chanpheng he sold it in 2001 for 17,000 which is nothing to scoff at but rumors have it that base selling price of the card now would be around 200k minimum and i wouldnt be surprised if it went up to around 500-600k just for the single card
I think this is the perfect set up everything about it what happened to him what his intentions are. This is just a story that will be told forever. And it’s beautiful
Hi dad! I miss your weed shop 3 videos. If you have the time and are still down to play that I, and a plethora of others would love if you did more of those streams + videos. Love ya more than you love mobie huge.
It's kind of poetic, I think. He got that card through Make-A-Wish because he wasn't likely to grow up and be able to experience all those things, but now that he beat his disease that card will help fund those experiences.
It went for 311 grand jesus christ, well, hopefully Tyler will be able to make use of the money, the card was a gift both for him as a child as an awesome toy/trinket/trophy, now it's a gift for him as an adult as a 311 grand check, I love that idea.
Remember when I was 9 and packed the 2nd edition blue eyes white dragon had no clue it was worth money but goddamn that card was so good I won all the matches I played
It's cool when companies do this for their fans, I shit a lot on Gearbox dev company, and a lot of people do too with reason, but at they did something cool wich is imortalizing some of their fans on Borderlands games... like Michael and Trevor...
