Buster hitting a loose table board and making the guy shoot himself repeatedly before making a whole ass song about the guy to get the entire saloon dancing is such a red dead online type of situation and I love it
This was a great re-cap...but, this is another one of those movies which needs to be seen to be appreciated. A lot of what made the Buster Scruggs short can't be described, no matter how good of a description is given. Buster is just too funny, charming, and cool for words. And, he DEFINITELY needs his a whole movie dedicated to just him and his mis-adventures. His short movie was better than ALL of the other short movies COMBINED, and he's worked his way into becoming my favorite misanthrope out of all misanthropy.
Yep. The whole scene in the bar with Joe is fantastic to watch. It is of course all over the net (often reversed or tweaked to avoid copy right complaints lol).
@@schwarzerritter5724 Yes! Another great movie. A Spaghetti Western; but, done very well. One of my favorite parts was when Nobody was in the bar and hussled all those people out of their money with the over the shoulder glass-shooting game (even though I know shooting a firearm in the middle of a crowd while drunk is stupid). If you like that movie, I would highly recommend "They Call Me Trinity." And, "Trinity is Still My Name." They follow in the foot-steps of My Name is Nobody; and, have Terence Hill as the lead.
Yes, he was. But, the rest of the shorts COMBINED can't compare to Buster Scruggs. They need to make a whole movie about him and his mis-adventures in misanthropy.
My theory for the last story is thigpen and thumper were angel of death and other three passenger were already dead fur trapper died in his sleep as in the beginning of the story , the lady died of shock or choking can't and Rene was killed in argument with his friend who was offended by his comment .the hotel was the final stop and carriage guy was death which is symbolic that it never stops.and with all luggage gone that's their worldly affairs left behind them they embark on their new journey.thats my thoughts
That’s what I was thinking too. Also I was thinking that the dead body was going to heaven while the rest of them were stuck in limbo which is why they weren’t carried up to the light.
@@v0rx209 it didn’t shock me, as if she even were to see him get fatally shot or even in the process of getting scalped, she was determined to end it as how Mr. Author described. I just wish she took the opportunity to maybe use ONE of the TWO bullets to take out the remaining attacker given the circumstances☹️
Loved this movie in netflix, it was weird and random, but when you understand the lessons in each story or ballad then you'll really appreciate the film
Know your worth. People will be kind to you because of your abilities and what you can do for them. It's not love. if you're no longer useful to them or they find a better alternative they'll easily discard you. It's not that they're wicked it's just human nature.
No way, not a single person I know came away from Buster Scruggs feeling sad, this recap doesn't show the brightness of the movie's music and atmosphere!
@@W4TH3JE5U5 I will admit I felt sad about the armless and legless man. Nesson should’ve just shot him instead of letting him drown the death. He was the only main character in the film that couldn’t control his fate.
I loved the Buster Scruggs story, but the other stories were all just depressing. Not exactly my kind of movie but i will watch the Buster story again.
@@Nobody-iq5bi from writing to revising to shopping around for a studio to coming up with a cast list, auditioning THESE actors to finding proper producers, set directors, prop masters, filming location scouting as well as inclimate weather when u start shooting... the movie was probably shot in under 6 months, but unless ur a legendary established name, all that other stuff takes A LOTTA TIME.
This story is very similar to the Lucky Luke books where there is another sharpshooter and actually the sharpest shooter in the wild west who can shoot faster than the speed of light or at least faster than our optic nerve can absorb light till our brain and can shoot his own shadow thus.
I think that the best part about him in the movie is that he only killed those that wanted to challenge him. He was a pretty stand up guy for the most part
I love the channel and your videos, but this recap cannot do this movie justice at all. All of Buster Scruggs charms are in his singing, which is somehow just perfect for his scenes. The overall sound design and soundtrack for the whole movie gives it so much more character, but thank you for recapping this movie, I hope more people end up deciding to watch the full film or at least Buster Scruggs part in the beginning!
The moral of this short movies : No matter how you are good at shooting guns, draw guns faster than any other else, You cannnot escape from death It's not only about you are going to die, but also facing your loved ones dying. ... I guess?
This movie looks good af , I like the gentleman’s movie where they will give u a beating but still talk to you respectfully .. I know I’m late on this but I’m definitely gunna watch this today after work 😂
Because it's not really a movie, more of just a bunch of separate shorts compiled into a movie that each have their own point. It's also a comedy too so some parts might seem a little out there.
0:48 I’m glad that the movie at least showed the no guns in town policy common in Wild West towns and how people often tried to conceal firearms in coat pockets or other stuff
